Model Overview:

Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.

You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

  • Its been excellent, with some exceptions - 2013 Honda Accord
    By -

I just ticked over 17000 miles with my 2013 Accord EX-L V6 (with Nav). Other than the initial connectivity problems with the audio head unit they have been trouble-free. The car performs well and is capable of some excellent fuel economy. I have had highway drives of over 42MPG which is extraordinary given the 278hp V6. The 6AT trans is smooth and responsive. It has excellent fit and finish, a smooth and quiet but busy ride, reasonable handling given LRR tires, excellent interior and trunk room. The interior remains tight and rattle free.

  • LOVE my accord. - 2011 Honda Accord

I had a 94 accord ex coupe as a first car- literally could not kill it. So after some not so great luck with a nissan, and deciding a toyota was too bland for me, I decided I wanted another accord. Got an awesome deal on this one! Love the heated leather seats and the leg room (Im 61). I didnt think a 4 cyl could move a car this heavy, but it actually has some pretty decent power (for what it is). Love the safety features, especially after a recent wreck. I wanted a safe, reliable car and the accord is just that.

  • 2014 Accord Sport Manual - 2014 Honda Accord

Love the 6 speed manual transmission on this car... Drove the Mazda 3, Mazda 6 stick shifts and the transmission on this car is what helped me make the decision to go with the Accord. Probably the best manual trans out there. The Mazda 6 may look better than the Accord now but I was just worried whether Id still like it in say 1 year. Many cars look real good at first but after a while not so interesting. Maybe Mazda wont be like that.

  • Hard to find any fault - 2014 Honda Accord
    By -

I have had numerous Hondas. Last Accord being a 2003. Had went to a 2012 Fit Sport after that Accord, wanting something different, good car, but missed the Accord. Lots of smiles per miles in my new Accord. Hard to find any faults. EX-L. Was a little leary of a CVT transmission, having heard Car and Driver say they did not like them for years, but they said they liked this one, so I gave it a try. Pleasantly surprised with how much I like the CVT. The Fit had a 5-speed manual. I have had the 2014 Accord for a couple months and would buy again without hesitation.

  • small oil leak from CVT transmission seal to engine - 2013 Honda Accord
    By -

I purcahased a new accord sport July 15 2013 with 3 miles on it. At my first oil change at 6500 miles, I noticed a small oil leak (1 drop) where the CVT bolts to the engine. I took it to the dealer for a warranty repair.Possible torque convert seal issue. I will post more details when the repair is finished. I am dissapointed about Honda transmission problems this early in the game. I will say the dealer was quick (no appointment) and offered a shuttle to work. If all goes well and the problem does not return all is good. sound like many people will face this same trouble. Fix it before the 30,000 miles waranty expires.

  • Always Buy Honda - 2006 Honda Accord
    By -

I honestly love my Honda Accord. I bought it with 88,000 miles 2 years ago and now have 130,000. I drive a lot and needed a good quality car. Honda is the way to go, and especially an accord. Ive contemplated selling my car only because of the loan I used to buy it is sinking me. But, I just cant actually get to the point of wanting to give up a car I really enjoy having and one that has been so reliable. When I bought it two years ago with 88k miles on it, it was Honda certified with a year warranty I paid extra for. I shouldnt have purchased the warranty, although always good to play it safe, but I never needed to use it. Great car. Love it.

  • Nice car......too bad about the seats - 2014 Honda Accord
    By -

I have owned this car for 7 days, and even though I love the ride, power, CVT, looks, and all the other stuff, the bucket seats are awful. I am 6 feet tall, 195 lbs, and there is no way to adjust the seat to fit my size. The seats are built for a small framed person (like my wife, 57 130 lbs). When I sit in the drivers seat I actually sit up on it, with no butt support, and no back support. The drivers seat is crippling me. The back seats are much flatter, and better. Take the car for longer than a 15 minute test drive, or rent one for a weekend. I made an expensive mistake.

  • Steering Wheel Noise & Break Noise - 2013 Honda Accord
    By -

I purchased my 2013 Honda Accord V6 used with 10k miles on the odometer I now have 12k after a month of driving. I’ve noticed the ticking noise in the steering wheel and a metal on metal scraping noise coming from the brakes. I’m taking it to the dealer tomorrow for their diagnostics of the problem. The exterior redesigned is one of major reasons I settled on the Honda not to mention its track record for reliability. The DNA of this car is Honda, I’m positive the engineers were not shooting for a 4dr NSX when they redesigned the Accord. With that being said, what I was looking for was a middle of the road transporter with decent gas mileage.

  • Great ride, needs more standard options - 2013 Honda Accord
    By -

This is my 2nd Honda, but first Accord, I had an 02 CRV that I loved but needed an upgrade and better mpg. I feel in love with the Accord exterior and really like the pick up that it has for a 4 cylinder. I decided to stay with the Honda brand as I had over 220K miles on mine and the only maintenance that I did was tune ups and standard oil changes, brakes, etc. I may be spent 2K on mechanical issues over the 10 years that I owned it. I love how the controls are easily, much better than in my 02 crv, I kept having to reach way forward to change radio stations. I was a little disappointed with the features that we not on the passenger side with the seat.

  • Failed Transmission - 2003 Honda Accord

Great car but transmission is not dependable. I would not buy this car unless you are a transmission mechanic.
