Overview & Reviews
Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.
You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

BEST VALUE FOR THE DOLLAR - 2004 Honda Accord
By viperredstang - May 5 - 10:00 amHave owned and driven many cars. For the dollar the Accord EX is outstanding. The XM radio is awsome, but the car is a 3.0 Litre 240 HP dynamo. Quiet and efficient with presently 32 MPG on the HWY. The only place to go from here would be an Acura with the other amenities you may want. I am 63" 265 lbs. and am very comfortable in the car. If I wanted more car I can spend more money and get more extras but the Accord V6 is just fun!!!

Came Back To Honda - 2006 Honda Accord
By msiseng - May 3 - 4:03 amI came back to Honda after owning luxury vehicles for years. This is a nice car that needs a serious face lift. Ride is smooth and handling is crisp. Resale is fantastic and the value is superior compared to the more expensive "luxury sedans" I currently own or just sold. Why pay thousands more for an Acura when the Accord is very similiar internally? I looked "cool" and spent a lot of money to do it these past few years. Now it is back to basics.

Questionable Build Quality - 2005 Honda Accord
By DemianB - May 2 - 10:00 amNeeded a new commuter car and decided to skip the Civic for the Accord Value Package. Great looks, great standard features, etc... Was very disappointed that the windshield glass had distortion in it and creates a wavey effect as you drive. I also went to open the trunk for the first time and the lock fell out the back! The car also came with missing paint on the drivers door edge and a poorly done cover-up job of previous scraping. Its currently at the dealer for repair, but Im not sure theyll fix the glass issue since its not obvious when youre not moving. Hopefully this was an anomoly and the rest of the car is solid as historical Accords.

1992 Honda Accord EX - 1992 Honda Accord
By crbunch - May 2 - 2:00 amBest automobile Ive every owned. Almost 95,000 before I changed the front brakes. No trouble at all with the engine, still runs and performs well. Have had some problems with cv joint replacement, but other than this and some A/C problems the car has been great. After 10 yrs. in the sun the paint job is oxidizing, but I guess this should be expected. I love this car, would like to have a pick-up but cant bring myself to trade up. This car has some features that many of the American cars didnt incorperate until years later.

Nice quieter ride with some bugs that need fixed - 2013 Honda Accord
By jetascs - May 1 - 9:30 pmLooked at and test drove a 2010 Accord Coupe, it was nice but too much road noise. Was in the market again and the ride, power, and road noise were markedly better in the 13 than the previous Accords. Interior leather and finishes are very nicely done. Getting 32 MPG combined (60% hwy miles). Only problem is the audio system. Having the same issue a lot of others are reporting with intermittent muted / distorted sound. Message boards and forums are saying Honda is providing a firmware fix end of Feb first of March 13. Lets hope so... very disappointing for only having the car 3 weeks!!

Very reliable car - 1991 Honda Accord
By Dave - May 1 - 8:15 amBought with 70K miles now has nearly 260K miles, and still has original engine and 5-speed manual clutch. Even at this age, doesnt burn any detectable oil between oil/filter changes every 3K. 33 mpg reliably on hwy. Can drive for 14 hours, and get out of the car feeling fairly fresh, good lighting for night driving, very reliable, paint has held up very well, solid brakes. Accelerate to at least 5K RPM before downshifting and you drop to 3K RPM, still inside the power curve where things happen quickly even for a 4cyl. Greatly appreciate the reliability, low maintenance, comfort, power aspects of this car.

Update after 3 years of owndership - 2003 Honda Accord
By Kevin Tate - May 1 - 1:23 amI have now owned the vehicle for three years and continue to be impressed. It now has 78K miles and has yet to have any major problems. I drive a combination of city and highway and still get about 22 MPG. The only two issues Ive had pertain to the stereo and ABS brake light. At around 40K miles, the stereo and A/C backlight went out. The local dealer said Id need an entirely new stereo unit ($900+) and acted as though it was a common failure. After a polite email to Honda Corp, I got a new stereo for free. The other problem I continue to have is the ABS brake light. Occasionally, it will come on, unless Im at the dealership.

Good Car so Far - 2008 Honda Accord
By Rebecca - April 29 - 3:50 pmBought my Honda in November 2007. This is my second Honda Accord and so far I have not been disappointed. My previous Honda Accord was a 1996 and it is still going strong. I hope to have the same success out of the 2008 model. I was looking for a new sedan that would have plenty of leg room for my two sons and so far I have been pleased. I compared it to the Nissan Altima which came in a close second but the Accord had better safety features and the insurance is cheaper. I have been disappointed with fuel economy. 75% of my driving is state highways and I only get about 26-27 miles/gal. which is less than my previous 12 yr. old Accord.

Well Rounded - 2006 Honda Accord
By Chris - April 29 - 2:56 pmThree months, NO REGRETS. Great balance of performance and amenities for the price. Smooth transmission and seemingly power in all gears. Form and function in one slick car.
