Model Overview:

Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.

You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

  • Great Car - 1994 Honda Accord

I loved this car. Someone ran into me and totaled it, otherwise I would still have it for a long time. When it was totaled it had 175,000 miles on it. Never had anything break on it. The ABS light was on and needed a new computer.

  • Update on 3 year old review - 1993 Honda Accord

Since I wrote the last review on this car, things have only gotten much worse. Car now has 142k miles. Things that have had to be replaced so far: CV joints 2X, tie rod ends, upper ball joints and control arms, rear engine mount, A/C, ABS, rear rotors, front rotors 2X, exhaust 3X, oil pressure switch, oil pan gasket, power antenna, rear window seal, 6 headlamps. This car is much faster than its suspension can handle. I had heard that Honda built very reliable cars. This is 10 times over the WORST car Ive ever owned.

Best car that I have owned, so far. Quality is no 1. Amazing room for a Honda. And great handling. Cant even hear the engine run!

Solid automobile. About 22 mpg in town. Power is fine since I do not drive on city freeways. Easy to keep, inside and out.

  • Way to go Honda! - 2008 Honda Accord

They definitely made this new Honda Accord something to brag about. It looks like a BMW, with the price of a Honda! Meets all my needs and expectations. Beautiful car!

  • get real mileage - 2005 Honda Accord

All the discussion about mileage on the hybrid is settled easily. If you drive about 55 or 60 for Hwy, you will get near the EPA results. If you drive 80, youll get around 31 mpg. In the city I ve found I get pretty close to epa of 27. If you mix city/hwy like most drivers, look for around 31 mpg. when you actually measure it on a fill up. I am getting about 7 mpg better than my 03 Accord and for me thats a good deal. Dont buy this car expecting great mileage but do buy it for good mileage, great performance, great re-sale, great reliability and a host of other reasons!

  • Decent - 2008 Honda Accord

The car has met expectations, aside from the gas mileage and wind noise. Its my first Honda.

  • Very good purchase! - 2009 Honda Accord
    By -

Needed to replace a 2007 Honda Accord Coupe with a similar car with a lot less mileage, and this one fit the bill. The 2009 has significantly more interior space. The engine has a bit less power/pick-up than the 2007, and the noise level inside the cabin is a slightly higher. Im currently having a problem with the "Check Fuel Cap" light coming on intermittently and randomly, but the dealer told me there was no indication in the "black box" as to what is causing this. This problem is in process of being corrected, perhaps via a new fuel cap. Overall, this car is comfortable and reliable and has a bit more of a sporty look than the 2007 version. Definitely am satisfied with the purchase.

  • Beautiful car - 2016 Honda Accord

I did a LOT of research and took a LOT of test drives. This is a wonderful car. It has a fantastic drive, and is very comfortable! Ive never bought a sedan, and I have no regrets with this car. It is truly my dream car.

  • Solid Value at a Very Reasonable Price - 2000 Honda Accord
    By -

I have only owned two cars since 1986: a Honda Civic and this Honda Accord LX, which I purchased new in 2000. In all those years, Honda has never left me stranded by the side of the road. They build a reliable car at a very fair price (about $15K new). Have experienced only one minor problem with the brakes, which began to vibrate at 12K miles. It was easily corrected by the dealer, who replaced the front brake rotors under warranty. The ride is a bit noisy, but it is absolutely the best value for a sedan under $20K.
