Overview & Reviews
Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.
You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

My New Ride - 1997 Honda Accord
By MilesB - June 6 - 11:37 pmI recently bought this car, and I must say that I am VERY impressed. It has 145,000 miles on it, and it still runs like a dream. I honestly couldnt ask for more in a used car.

Bad Brakes - 2009 Honda Accord
By JayinPhilly - June 6 - 3:23 pmI loved my Accord until at about 250 miles the brakes began to squeal. I took the car in and the dealer said there is nothing wrong. It is now at about a year later the brakes still squeal and the dealer is telling me I need new brakes. The stability control system causes extreme brake wear is what the dealer is telling me. Honda refuses to do anything about this. I am a long time Honda driver but I will not buy another, my last Accord lasted 45K miles before new rear brakes were needed. Nice car, bad brakes bad VSC system.

More than a little disappointed - 2006 Honda Accord
By SO109 - June 6 - 8:40 amMany more rattles than I figured from the highly "Acclaimed" Honda. Velor interior starts showing wear at less than 10,000 Mi. Right now, Im sorry I bought it. Dont think Id buy another Honda. Well see how well the dealership stands behind it.

Beyond Satisfaction - 2005 Honda Accord
By D.Wiseman - June 6 - 4:03 amIt took a total of 25 min. for me to close a deal from the time I walked in the showroom and sat down with Brad Buck at Jenkins & Wynne. The price was below TMV & they got use exactly what we wanted. Plus they threw in the mud guards for free, and gave us the mirror option for cost. I LOVE this car.

Better than expected - 2008 Honda Accord
By Russ - June 5 - 10:10 amSmooth, cormfortable and a pleasure to drive. Compared to my 04 Accord which is a great car, this one is superior by every measure. The seats are cushioned better and the side bolsters are excellent. The lumbar is inflatable as opposed to a lever and only lacks up/down adjustability for different height drivers. As was my previous Accord, the fit and finish is superb. The steering is outstanding and the brakes are superb. Wind noise is near zero and the transition from 6 to 4 to 2 cylinders is seemless. The engine is quiet and runs smoooothly as the transmission shifts through the gears.

My reliable friend - 1997 Honda Accord
By Doug - June 4 - 11:53 pmMy favorite communter car ended its days today . . . alas a jerk looking down at his cell phone rear-ended her with me in it at about 40 mph. Of course that I am typing tonight is testimony to her design and strength of unit body. The car was shortened about 18" by the impact and the DS seat broke and I ended up half in the back seat. She is gone, but I am not! Before toda,y her 168,000 miles were a pleasure. Faithful service with no problems and we fully expected another 100,000 miles in the family. She is gone but not forgotten.

Reliability 1st.........Performance 2nd - 2001 Honda Accord
By Zorin - June 4 - 10:00 amThe title says it all. This is a Honda and expect it to perform well over 200K miles if its taken care of. The ride is excellent for a small car. Most cars of this size are relatively bumpy for this price range. The performance lacks though! Acceleration begins avout 3K RPMs and above. Unfortunately the stick shift was not offered in a 6 cylinder until 2003, and a stick was what I wanted. Gas mileage is about 25 city and 31 hwy.

Great Value - 2003 Honda Accord
By sailor - June 4 - 10:00 amThis is my 3rd Honda and I must say the best. I only have 1000 miles on it but so far everything is perfect. Great value for the dollar and a terrific dealership. I have driven a Camry, Altima and a couple of domestic sedans but this Honda outclasses all of them

Well Rounded Performance Best Buy - 2003 Honda Accord
By billys105 - June 4 - 10:00 amI bought my EX V6 6 sp coupe after cross shopping the competition thouroughly. The driving dynamics of the Nissan Altima are enticing, but its design is unbearable. The Passat is over priced, and the Camry isnt nearly sporty enough. With my Honda I get a spirited driving experience, thanks to the tried and proven 3.0 six now making 240 horses and one of the slickest shifting 6 speeds in the market. The interior is the best in its class, feeling more like an Acura than a Honda. Due to its clean and swoopy lines, my red coupe has proved to be quite the head-turner. I have somebody ask and compliment me on it nearly every time I go out.
