Overview & Reviews
Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.
You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

Might start, might not start - 2010 Honda Accord
By No more Hondas - June 13 - 5:43 amWe bought this car new and it has done well until recently. It has 71,000 miles on it, looks like new, has been well maintained and garage kept. Over the last 4 months the battery has been too weak to crank it on 5-6 occasions. Most times the car has set less than 8 hours when this happens, and nothing was left on. This only happens about every 2-3 weeks and otherwise it starts great. This has been in warm Alabama weather while being driven about 25 miles daily. I have done parasitic drain tests, replaced the AC clutch relay that Honda wont admit has caused many costly AC failures. I have done mechanic work for many years but this happens so rarely its very hard to diagnose. Anyone thinking of Hondas legendary reliability might want to read about how many problems Honda owners are experiencing.

Bulletproof - 1995 Honda Accord
By Picaroon - June 12 - 9:12 amI bought this car in 2001 with 90,000 miles on it. When I sold it 5.5 years later it had over 235,000. The car had already been smashed up once before I bought it, was in another small accident while in my possession, and was then stolen, beat up, abandoned and recovered. It was put through the wringer and still ran like a top when I sold it. The 2.2l averaged 29-30 mpg. The car never let me down.

My Accord - 2005 Honda Accord
By Charles Brock - June 11 - 1:20 pmThe major downside for me was the realization that this is a "performance" car, not a fuel economy car. It gets 23 to 25 mpg in town and 32-34 on the hwy. Good performance, not the economy I assumed hybrids would get. I love the performance, the power of acceleration, the fact that at idle the engine shuts down. At 6 ft. 3 inches, I have plenty of head room. I love the car and am very happy with it.

Cant beat it - 2002 Honda Accord
By Jehu 222 - June 10 - 9:55 amThis is my second 2002 accord. I wrecked the first one. I just use as a daily commuter. I couldnt be happier. I bout it with 103,000 miles on it. What other car can you buy with 100k and still be confident? It now has 151k and it rides like new. All I have replaced is a spring in the clutch that broke (250) and a wheel hub (180). The interior is simple. I will say for this year this accord is about as big as the new civic. For 2001 and 2002 I would stay away from the automatic transmission 4 cylinder, They had problems. My manual doesnt slip. Also I see accords here and there with bad fading paint but mine is holding. I just got my wife an 07 accord based on edmunds reviews. She had an 03 Camry and everything was dying at 150k. So I can confidently recommend this car. Oh and average 29-30 mpg mixed. (432 miles per tank)

Beyond Expectation - 2008 Honda Accord
By Mary Mediate - June 9 - 7:43 pmDriving this car is like going to heaven. You will want for nothing. It is amazing in every way. It has bells and whistles I never knew it had. The car is human and perfectionistic. It drives well, the satellite radio is awesome and it has the comfort of home. I am thinking about living in my car.

Best car Ive ever purchased! - 2008 Honda Accord
By Satisfied Customer - June 9 - 6:23 amI just purchased an Accord Sedan (fully loaded) with leather seats. I was originally in the market for an Acura and compared the both and chose the Accord. They are very similar as far as engine and design on the inside. The difference to me is the body style. I really really love my new car. It rides smooth, roomy, great horsepower and maintains the road well. I put it on the road a week ago and road noise is not a problem. This is the best car Ive ever purchased. It took me two years to make up my mind in what would be my next car and I wouldnt have it no other way. I get compliments and praises everywhere I go. The black on black, 2008 Honda Accord Sedan EX-L V6 is MY new Lexus!

High Performer - 2005 Honda Accord
By CarKat - June 8 - 12:04 pmA fun car with quick response and excellent handling. Plenty of power and good fuel economy. Average about 39-42 MPG highway and 22-25 MPG city driving. The pleasure of driving a high performance V6 with economy of a 4 cylinder car. No problems in 2 years of ownership.Still looks and runs like new.

Great Car - 2003 Honda Accord
By MCSEman - June 8 - 10:00 amI always buy Hondas. That way theres no surprises. This one is no exception. One day as I was cruising down I95 at 80 mph, I thought Id step on the gas a little bit to see what it would do. In just a few seconds I was up to 100mph with plenty of room left under the pedal. The care handled perfectly. Road noise is next to nothing. The interior is very well thought out. Honda definitley put some work into it, cramming useful goodies into every nook and cranny. Given Hondas reputation for longevity, this car is definitely worth the money.

Best Accord Ever - 2003 Honda Accord
By 2003AccordOwner - June 8 - 10:00 amThis is a 4 door, 4 cylinder, with cloth interior Accord. I have owned a 1991, 1993, 1998, 2000 and this 2003. This is the best one yet by far. The styling, ride, and performance are terrific! This re- designed model is head and shoulders above the previous models. The 4 cylinder performs like most 6 cylinders. What a value!

2003 V6 6Speed - 2003 Honda Accord
By rossi46 - June 8 - 10:00 amThis is my first honda car that Ive had. I always said if honda would put a manual transmission with a V6 that I would buy one. Well I did and I love it. the car gives you the ride of a luxury car, but the performance of a sports car.
