Model Overview:

Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.

You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

  • Brakes? - 2009 Honda Accord

This my second Honda Accord and so far I love the car but hate the brakes. After one day and 75 miles the steering wheel developed a very bad shudder when braking! I called the service manager and he said to drive the car at least 1000 miles before I bring it in? I am now at 950 miles with an appointment for next week. The steering wheel shudder is still present on moderate and above braking. I hope they can fix this!

Originally looking at the Civic for the gas mileage and the looks but the Accords ride and comfort won me over. Had to go with leather because the fabric just looked too cheap and can see how gets dirty easily. Gas mileage hopefully will get better 22- 24 city/hwy with AC on. This car is great value for the money. Fits easily in one car garage.

  • The energizer bunny of the car world - 2000 Honda Accord

This is my second Honda Accord. The first one I purchased was a 1998 4 cyl. which I drove for close to 200,000 miles without a problem. The most recent purchase is a 2000 v6 which gets decent mpg and seems to be just as reliable as my last one. I would recommend this car over any Audi A4, Volvo, or any other luxury car in its price range. Even though the styling and other peoples perception of the car is not as high, the dependabilty more than makes up for the thousands you will spend keeping the others on the road for more than 100,000 miles.

  • Honda is alright! - 2004 Honda Accord

I like the car. It is fast and sturdy. I traded in a 1997 Infiniti Q45 to save on gas and it is saving me almost $100 per month. I bought it used and it still feels like new. It was Honda certified which gave me some piece of mind. I definitely recommend buying this car if youre thinking about it. I rented a Ford Explorer SUV and my accord car has more rear passenger room than that thing.

  • Youre winner and still champion... - 2010 Honda Accord

Lets get real. For the past 3-5 years every midsized sedan has mentioned the Honda Accord in its advertising. Yes, there is a reason for this! As a 2006 Accord owner, my wifes 1998 Toyota Camry was recently rear ended and totaled while waiting at a stop light. What to buy? Camry? Way too many problems at this time and boring styling. 2011 sonata? Too new and unproven. Hate being a new model Guinea pig. And my trusted friend says Korea still not quite there yet against the Japanese. Altima? Definitely not a Honda. Push button ignition! Big deal! As a 58 year old "old school" driver there are some new gadgets I could care less about. Chevy or Ford? No thanks, I would Rather buy American. O

  • Its not great but not bad - 2000 Honda Accord

The transmission has a lot to be desired. It has been replaced once and is still acting up. The body is flimsy (dented by someone leaning against the fender. The paint is terrible (does not hold up well to pebbles and road debris. Will not hold an alignment for too long. One bright light quick working (replaced bulb and still doesnt work). Gas gage has never read full even when filled to the brim.

Ive had this car for a little over 1 year and it still gives me joy. I still have to park it a work where I can see it out the window and keep an eye on it.
