Overview & Reviews
Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.
You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

Best Full-Size Car - 2009 Honda Accord
By William - July 7 - 9:46 amI bought my wife a 2009, Accord, EX-L, nav, with every option. We love the car. The car has Lexus and Infiniti styling at a fraction of the cost. More room than the M-series, and better mileage. This is our fourth Accord, and is our first leather Accord. The back seat room is incredibly large, and our sons are 62" and 64". Their legs dont touch the front seat. This is the best Accord that Honda has ever made. If I had the money, I would get two of them. Dont worry about the road noise. This car is pure quality.

More style than a Camry - 1997 Honda Accord
By shamarcus - July 6 - 11:25 amThis car has more style than a Camry but comes up short in the gotta-have department. I have owned a Jetta and a Maxima. The Accord would be my 3rd choice for the gotta-have-it factor. In my opinion, the car has been very reliable with low cost on the wear and tear parts such as brakes and belts. They actually last a long time. There are lot of aftermarket parts to personalize your Honda.

2004 Accord EX V6 - 2004 Honda Accord
By Another Honda Owner - July 4 - 2:00 amI have owned several Hondas over the years. The 2004 Accord EX V6, is really nice. They have upgraded the interior and interior features. This car has all of the features of the lower end luxury cars, at thousands less in price. The XM radio is a great plus. The ride and road noise is much better than Hondas of the past. The V6 gets up and goes. The speedometer is huge and has new lighting. There is plenty of trunk space.

Practical and Cute - 2009 Honda Accord
By Mary-Mary - July 3 - 3:56 amAfter researching I was in love with the Accord Coupe design. I bought one. Belize Blue. Its cute and practical (I can drive a week on one tank of gas). This is a car for someone who doesnt want to buy premium gas or pay high insurance rates while still looking stylish and "with it".

Hondas forever! - 1991 Honda Accord
By lovemyhonda - July 2 - 10:00 amThis was my first Honda- I bought it when it was 4 years old with 65,000 miles on it. I have since put another 120,000 miles on it and it runs as well as it did when I bought it. All you need to do with these cars is change the oil and replace the timing belt now and again! I am treating myself to a 1998 Accord, otherwise I would keep this one for another 60,000 miles. You cannot beat a Honda Accord- they look great, run well and are low maintenance vehicles. I am a lifer!

Chess 3456 - 1998 Honda Accord
By Gary Chester - July 2 - 10:00 amThe Hondoa Accord can fit 5 people in it comfortably. This is my third Honda and Ive never had any problems, only normal M & R. Hoping the 2003 version is a winner, so I can look forward to another Accord in the future. If you want to buy a 1998 Hondoa Acord the price should be between 13K-16K.

MyGoldie - 2000 Honda Accord
By Goldmine - July 2 - 10:00 amThis is simply the best mid size 4 door car for the money. I travel alot and get approx 29 mpg avg city/hwy. Very roomy, comfortable cabin with excellent seating ergonomics front and rear. I would argue that the Accord SE is the only import branded mid-sized car that can solidly beat all of these fine domestic models. They combine performance with luxury features that no other car in this price range can deliver.

Wins over Altima - 2002 Honda Accord
By ubie - July 2 - 10:00 amAfter test driving the Accord EX and the Altima SE many times over several weekends, I bought the Accord. Even in its 5th year, the Accord is still a better car and a better value. I got the Nissan dealer down to the price I wanted but I still went with the Accord. Why? $3,500 less with more std features, and a much better safety rating. The new style of the Altima will wear thin after its first year and people will be wishing they had waited for the 2003 redesigned Accord. I wish I could have waited myself, but my 1989 Civic (289,284 miles) couldnt last until Sept/Oct.

Bad MPG, Reliable But Way Overrated - 1997 Honda Accord
By aguywhoknowscars - July 2 - 8:55 amAfter searching for over a year, I finally sold my beloved Dodge Caravan cause it only got 16 mpg overall and bought my 97 Accord EX Wagon thinking Id be getting both economy and utility. Well I got the utility, but not the economy. My EX wagon (4 cyl VTEC) was woefully underpowered and got, at best, only 18 mpg combined. Im very mechanical and know a lot about cars. I do not drive with a lead foot. I ran myself ragged for over a year taking the car to 3 or 4 mechanics (including the dealership) to try to remedy the problem. Everythings "normal" was what I was told. Fed up, I sold the car after 1 year of unsuccessfully trying to improve the mpg problem. Car had less than 50K.
