Model Overview:

Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.

You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

For the price Ive paid for this vehicle it is very comfortable, very reliable, the gas mileage is excellent and it has a ton of standard features. I use it as a commuter car, Ive already put 38,000 miles on it in 18 months and it is still working like a swiss clock. Ive only had one minor problem with the air conditioning not operating at the driver side which was due to a leak. That was fixed under warranty.

As you can see Ive owned many Hondas over the years. I also dont put much stock in a review of a car after just 2 days of ownership! Ive had this car for 10 months and it is absolutely great. Boring looks, but a sweet ride. The V6 has plenty of power for flat Ohio and the roads here are the biggest reason to ever complain about ride and handling, not the car itself. Its significantly bigger than a Civic (Honda # 9) and while I can live with the bland look, itd be nice to get Civic-like gas mileage. On the other hand, I feel much more safe and secure in inclement weather driving the Accord. Room for 5 easily and quieter than the Civic too. This is really just about the perfect car.

I drove a 99 Civic EX before this and the difference is amazing. The acceleration is fantastic! Ive added the V2 CAI and Borla Exhaust and it just adds so much to the driving experience. Oh, the noise! I try to find the smallest excuse to go out and drive it... its that much fun! So far Ive got 27,000 miles on the car and havent had any big problems yet. The brakes are starting to shudder a little, but then again they arent this cars strong point. Everything about this car is smooth. The gear changes, the looks, the interior. This is a great car. I just wish they made more aftermarket stuff for it.

  • Had to have one - 2008 Honda Accord

This is my first Honda, and I love it. The 190 hp 4cyl is much more responsive than the 177 hp. The tranny is also geared differently, as well as improved exhaust flow, and suspension over the LX(P). Torque and HP builds from Mid RPMs & up. I am averaging 28 MPG 50% highway, not broken in yet. It does have more road noise than I would expect, but other than that the car handles very well, and is fun to drive. At first the seats seemed stiffer than Id like, but after making a 2 1/2 hour trip, It felt very comfortable once I got the seat and lumbar adjusted to my liking. I really like the overall appearance silver/gray, especially with the wing spoiler and tinted windows.

  • Great value - 2003 Honda Accord

Taut but comfortable ride, little wind noise, less tire noise than old honda. The car make a "clunk" or scraping noise shortly after startup. Very quiet engine, and despite less low end torque than the Altima 3.5, the engine is extremely efficient and flexible at low RPMs. Ive averaged 26mpg per tank (Altima 3.5 sticker reads 23 or 24 MPG on 91 octane), and could probably get a little over 400mi on one tank. Ive experimented with 91 and 89 octane, and 91 gives the car a little more punch at high speeds. I felt like I discovered a hidden secret of the universe when I found this car.

my experience with my honda accord V-6 has been great. its the best car i have ever driven and wouldnt have picked anything else. my parents both drive luxury vehicles and the my honda is just as nice without the high price. my brother who only drives bmws is considering trading his 2002 3 series convertable bmw for an accord coupe.

Car tracks straight and true with excellent engine power and M.P.G. for a 6-cylinder using regular gasoline. Unfortunately, I have bought my last American auto. The U.S. cars do not hold their value very well.

  • Very pleased with this car - 2016 Honda Accord

Overall the car is great. The cargo area is a little skimpy. I would like to be able to individually turn off the vents on the right and left of the audio system display.

  • Honda needs a few refinements - 2005 Honda Accord

Just bought a 05 Accord today and I must say although im a big fan of Honda, im a little dissapointed in the vibration in the steering wheel. I traded in a 05 Civic lx to get more room and I think the drive in it was very close to that of the Accord. I think for a $20,000 vehicle, the ride for the driver could be improved. The car has alot of great qualities and only a few negative ones, mainly the stiff ride and the comfort of the seats.
