Model Overview:

Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.

You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

Great car to go to work in. I travel 70 miles 5 days a week, and it hasnt missed a beat. Have 28,000 on it and its better than ever. wonderful in traffic, in and out of lanes, stereo cooks, everything is handy.

  • So far... - 2005 Honda Accord

...so good! Just got this 4 cylinder LX and love it! Its quiet and responsive. Havent notice any of the rattles that some reviewers have indicated. Plenty of power at whisper volumes. Interior is well designed with everything within drivers reach. AC is ice cold. Mileage has been solid so far. No wonder this car is so popular!

  • Never lets me Down - 1998 Honda Accord
    By -

Ive had the car nearly three years and do a lot of driving. Other than routine maintenance, Ive never had anything fail. Of course you always hear about the ones that have problems out on these reviews-you dont hear about all the ones that are perfect and there are many! Am hoping that this Honda keeps never letting me down as it has been a pleasure to own and still looks great!

  • Great car - 1996 Honda Accord

Ive owned this car for 6 years now and have about 87k miles on it. I have put the standard upkeep into the car such as brakes, a new muffler, air filter, and soon a new timing belt. The only recent problem has been the drivers side airbag needing to be replaced. I absolutely love this car - my previous one was a 1990 Taurus that needed two transmissions in ten years. I can get about 30 mpg on the highway with the ac cranked up. This car is comfortable and fun to drive. The dashboard is well layed out. I plan on owning this car for several more years before I move on to a newer model. What amazes me is that this car is 11 years old and does not look out of style.

  • Excellent buy - 2004 Honda Accord

Had purchased an 04 Camry. The ride was smooth but interior ergonomics was horrible. Driver seat squeaked and front end had a problem they never fixed. Traded it in for the Accord and there is no comparison. Honda DOES know how to build solid vehicles and has one of the better interior designs of any maker. The look and feel of the 04 Accord is the best for the money.

  • I really like this car - 2004 Honda Accord

If you are in the market for a new sedan i dont think you can match the value of a new ex with leather and nav. I dont think the car will win any races but it will get you there safely and on time. I have had it for a week now and i cant justify the extra 10k that i was thinking about spending on a new acura tl. Some things on the acura were a little nicer/refined but i couldnt be happier

  • Extreme Gas Consumption - 2003 Honda Accord
    By -

While I love the car, it is using more gas than an SUV, even though it is a 4 cylinder. It took a while to get Honda to believe me but they finally replaced the computer, catalytic converter and O2 sensor after 2 weeks of testing. But guess what, this didnt fix the problem so they shipped the car to their Toronto engineers for 5 weeks of testing. Surprise, the engineer says the car runs according to spec, Honda says tough luck. Curiously, the spec says 7 Litres/ 100 Km city and 9L highway, I calculate an average of 13L.For US readers this is more than a GM Suburban.

  • New Accord SE excellent value - 2007 Honda Accord
    By -

Have owned this car for two weeks now. Typical Honda: Excellent ergonomics, build quality. Rock solid; more so than similar Camry. Drivetrain smooth and powerful; ample acceleration. Pleasant surprise considering its a 4 cylinder. Pricey compared to competition but you get what you pay for. Has everything I need without excess "gimmicks." Fuel economy near EPA hwy. rating when driven on the hwy. at reasonable speeds.

  • Large car comfort with stick shift mpg - 2008 Honda Accord
    By -

Bought the 2008 Accord EX-L 5M after waiting 2 months for 2009 Sonata SE 5M (Hyundai would not confirm delivery). Im getting 33-34 mpg after 800 miles of ~80% highway driving (60-65 mph). This car has plenty of acceleration for my driving style. I hope to get better mileage on extended highway trips. I think the mileage would be even better with a 6-speed stick shift to drop the tachometer from ~2300 rpm to <2000 rpm at 60 mph.

  • Best Honda Yet - 2008 Honda Accord

This new Accord is absolutely amazing! The ride is great, the noise level is low, the features are ergonomic, everything is perfect. This is without a doubt the number one car in the segment!
