Model Overview:

Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.

You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

  • Only moderately impressed - 2005 Honda Accord
    By -

The car has many positive features. Superb powertrain, very good build quality, excellent fuel economy, superb controls with great tactile feedback, equipped but not gaudy. The down side is the overly firm ride, steering that lacks precision and feedback. Itskind of like driving on molasses. And the seats are hard to get comfy in. Slightly over-firm cushion and hard to get centered in the seat. It is a nice looking vehicle in darker colors, it helps hide the heft of the rear end. Interior is very fuctional but not flashy.

  • Best Car - 2009 Honda Accord
    By -

We now have had the car for 6 months and have driven it over 8000 miles and still find it to be the best car I have owned. We have not had any issues with seat comfort or brakes. The car is used for mostly short driving in town but still delivers a 23-24 mpg. We drove it to Chicago Il and back in Sept. a trip of over 600 miles each way and got 34 mpg. At no time did I find the seats uncomfortable (9hr trip). The road noise does change with pavement type, concrete being the noisiest.

  • Roomy, reliable, and stealthy - 1997 Honda Accord
    By -

Wanted something bigger to haul more people/gear, and still gets good mpg. The Accord wagon with a 5-spd is a near perfect solution. While hauling either bikes, skis, or kayaks on the roof it gets over 30 mpg, and 33 mpg without. Parts are reasonable, it is Honda reliable, drives great, does not wander like a minivan, and in winter with a full set of snow tires goes almost anywhere. Compared to an Outback it handles better, has more room, and gets about 6 more mpg.

  • Good car - 2009 Honda Accord

The car is beautifully designed. The workmanship is good. The interior is fresh, not boring, and comfortable. The seats are supportive. The center console is a little busy but not too bad. It handles very well, surprised since the car is family car; but drives like my old 1993 Prelude VTEC. Love it.

  • Worst road noise experienced - 2009 Honda Accord
    By -

Worst road noise experienced. Have owned 8-9 Hondas and this one is a great, great let down. The ride is bumpy and road noise levels prevent a descent conversation with the passenger. Lack of Michelin tires is also a negative. Really surprised at all the interior noise, particularly coming from a manufacturer who set the standard for fine Imported vehicles. So remorseful for purchasing this auto.

  • Coming Back to Honda II - 2009 Honda Accord
    By -

After 7,000 miles, the car is performing good. Nevertheless, there are some poor quality issues related to details, such as loose door panels, seats springs noise, and paint scratches in the bumpers. Brakes squeak and road noises are very annoying. In the positive side, the fuel economy, engine performance, car design and Cd changer/radio sound are great. If I decide to buy another Accord would go for a thorough road test and read more carefully the car reviews. Overall, I have mixed feelings, because I had greater expectations for a car like this, but still think the Honda Accord is a great car.

  • 13 Accord Sport all the way!!! - 2013 Honda Accord
    By -

Just bought the Accord Sport less than two weeks ago and so far its met all of my expectations. This is coming from a Ford family. Just got tired of Ford products falling apart and feeling cheap, and you know its time to move on when the rest of the family doesnt want to drive/sit in it. Test drove the Sonata, Optima, Altima, Fusion, and Accord, and the Accord just felt right from the get go. Honda isnt the flashiest but thats ok, what it does do is build good, solid, reliable cars and the 13 Accord Sport, to me looks sportier than the other cars in its class. For all the standard equipment in the Accord Sport, I am sure the other vehicles in its class would be quite higher.

  • Totally Satisfied... - 2002 Honda Accord
    By -

I am totally satisfied with my 2002 V6 Accord! This is my 4th Honda and they have only gotten better. Its totally fun to drive...very stylish, very reliable ...and for a V6, it still gets descent gas mileage. I would recommend this vehicle to anybody!!

  • Very happy with purchase - 2006 Honda Accord

Fun and easy to drive car. Switched from Dodge Stratus. Accord is first Honda purchased. Good interior room. Like the minor exterior styling changes from 2005 to 2006. Lots of standard safety features.

  • Should have... - 2003 Honda Accord
    By -

My wife and I bought a new 2004 Honda Odyssey which now has 53000 miles with no maintenance but oil changes. When I decided to trade my 2000 Mercury Mystique LS with 80000 miles, I found out that there was not trade-in value and that I probably could have/should have bought a Honda Accord back then. When I got into this 2003 Accord LX and drove it, I knew this was the car for me. I really enjoy driving this car-smooth ride, great handling, great workmanship
