Model Overview:

Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.

You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

  • Accord Coupe - 2005 Honda Accord

I purchased this late in 05 when the 06 models came out. Overall, its a decent car. after 2 years of ownership, I have discovered many issues with the car. Squeaks, rust spots, loose panels, cheaply put together parts, crappy brakes, mysterious noises, rattles etc. the tires are the worst. tranny is a bit wacky. All together, the car is running. It has a fairly reliable powertrain. Other than that, the Honda Accord isnt what its cracked up to be anymore.

Very reliable. No breakdowns or problems other than regular maintenance. Would really recommend! Solid and comfortable.

  • Totally enjoying this car - 2010 Honda Accord

Purchased the car in February after much research on many models. Being a super fussy person in general, and particularly with the cars I own, I have to say that I am really surprised that for once, I can say "I really love my car!" Having previously only driven 6 cylinder cars, I was a bit hesitant about purchasing a 4, but I have to say that the difference is barely noticeable and Im glad I made that choice.

  • unbeatable value at certain price - 2006 Honda Accord

We bought our manual VP for $16,300 after the labor day weekend . At this price this car is a great value with all the neat features--front, side and curtian airbags, ABS, power everything even the trunk release on key fob, AC, fold down rear seat(although no split). Dont care about the extras the next up trim LX has (more speakers, power mirrors, etc) which cost nearly $2K more. It handles great and rides comfortably and is extremely quiet. If youre just looking for cheap and reliable basic transportaiton, the Accord cant be beat AT THIS PRICE. However our new car had a problem with the rear seat fold down mechanism but corrected itself somehow when I brought it in.

  • Accord Sedan LX-V6 - 2001 Honda Accord

I have own this Accord for almost 3 years. Nothing went wrong only regular oil change. Just like other Accords with strong build quality and reliability (I owned 94 Accord). In my opinion, this generation V6 accord has unresponsive transmission. This may be the trade off to its mpg. However, it still make 1 of the fastest acceleration in 3.0L V6 engine class. What can I say ?

  • Car to buy - 2006 Honda Accord
    By -

I have researched to buy a new car for almost six months. There were few cars in the line to buy like 2006 Passat, Mazda etc, but this car over runs every one of them. For a middle class buyers this car holds the value for the longest duration and then there is HONDA to stand behind it for the quality and performance. I have till now driven @ 500 miles and have enjoyed every bit of it. Sales persons are great.

  • Inadequate provision for flats - 2005 Honda Accord
    By -

The Honda Accord EX Hybrid has no spare tire. It has fluid and a pump for holding the tire for a limited period of time until it can be fixed. The replacement fluid at the dealers is $100 for about a quart. Apparently they do not plan to sell much of it. The best choice, it seems to me, is to buy a utility spare for about $140 and put it in an already small trunk. I dont know that I would have bought the car had I known this at the time. It is something I should have asked about, but I had no idea that a major manufacturer and dealership would have such inadequate means for dealing with flat tires and at such a high price. Blowouts require a tow.

  • Not what I expected - 2003 Honda Accord
    By -

I love the car overall. Some issues I did not believe were Honda issues have come up. Cabin squeeks everywhere, brakes over sensitive and now the rotors shake with 49k miles. I am the second owner, appears brakes have been replaced before. Paint chips all over. Great car to drive but build quaility is below Honda standards. Plenty of power for a 4 cyl.

  • Pretty Sweet - 2008 Honda Accord

I traded in my 01 Acura CLS and thought I might be moving down a notch. Other than a less powerful and somewhat noisier engine, the Honda is about as nice (a lot less money too). The styling of both the Accord and Altima coupe got my attention, but this car gives you more for the money. My experience with the dealership was positive as well.
