Model Overview:

Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.

You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

I once owned a 93 Accord that my father bought from my uncle with 260,000 miles and got rid of it at 293,000 miles. Two cars later, I finally decided to get a brand new car. To make my history complete, I knew the right choice was to get an Accord. My oh my, its definitely not a 93. This car is so gorgeous and the looks match the quality of ride, touch, and materials. Under the hood, you can tell that it will be such an easy car to maintain in the long years ahead. Everything under the hood is accessible and straight to the point. Honda is consumer oriented and makes Mercedes look like a Yugo. I love my car and to make it even better I got it in orchid pearl. Too bad its a lease and can only drive 12k a year. I want to drive it all the time. For the lease, I put $2k down and my payment is $270 with maintenence for three years. I highly consider this car over Camry, Altima, and C-Class. Get one, itll be the best decision youll ever make for your everyday commute; )

  • Nice Car but Some Complaints - 2010 Honda Accord

This to me seemed like a nice modest sedan, priced nice, safe, and its a Honda. I recently bought it and am disappointed. First of all I had my husband break in the first 3000 miles and I started driving it a little over a month ago. I got this car for mostly driving around town, a grocery getter for my family. Im a very conservative driver, the gas mileage is very disappointing, I am averaging 12 mpg city and 19 hwy, which is not at all what I expected. I brought it back to the dealer and the mechanic told me that all cars started like that, but it has not increased. I like the car, its very smooth but too much power for fwd. Its been in once for warranty for a leak in the weatherstripping.

The ride is a bit stiff. Overall very dependable. I particularly noticed that this car felt solid and has remained so even after 50k miles, unlike most competitive vehicles (I have rented other cars for my work).

8 years of well balanced performance. Great drivability, great reliability, low cost maintenance (only regularly scheduled), excellent comfort & safety features. Just replaced tires, brakes & 1 headlight + 1 tailight bulbs.

  • Glad I made this choice - 2008 Honda Accord

I have this car in Nighthawk Black Pearl and it turns heads everywhere. People tend to think its a Lexus for some reason and are shocked to learn its an Accord. The fit and finish are wonderful, its obvious a lot of thought went into it. Its a "large" small car, too. My friends say the ride in the back is not bad at all.

We owned Honda vehicles for the past 20 plus years (89 and 00 Prelude, 86 CR-X, and 99 Civic). We just love the quality and reliability. Since the Civic had over 120,000 miles, we decided to buy another Honda. We first looked at the CR-V, but changed our mind to the Accord. I figured the EX model has the right combination of power and economy for our daily usage. So far, it is a wonderful car! We love everything about it. Great acceleration when going up hills and more than enough room for 4 adults. Accord has the common comfort features that anyone can ever ask for. The average city driving mileage is about 19 MPG. Not the best that I had hoped for, but overall it is a great car.

This 2008 EXL V6 is my sixth Accord. I had planned to get the 3 series BMW, but the Accord is a better value. The car is much larger inside. I dont like the dash/radio assembly, but the interior has a luxury look. The major problem is the horrible road noise. The stereo shop will charge me $600 for sound deadening. Acceleration is mediocre. Idle isnt as smooth as my other Accords. I hear a knock occasionally after it starts, but Honda cant replicate the problem. Mileage over three tanks has been 25.43 (mixed): 25.03 (mostly city); and 26.0 (highway). You dont get a trip computer unless you spend several thousand on the NAVI. Fix the road noise and this car becomes really good.

Ive been exceptionally pleased with the Honda Accord. It is pleasurable to drive in the city and hwy. My other vehicle, a 2003 A6 Quattro, is more fun/sporty, but I must admit to enjoying the Accord more (dont tell my wife). The 240 hrs pwr, leather trim, Nav system, XM radio- makes for an awesome ride.Would I rather have a new A6- of course! But all things considered this is one of the smartest purchases I have made to date. I highly recommend this vehicle to any one who finds value to be important.Oh yeah, given the new addition to our family, were trading in the Audi for an Odyssey EXL w/ Nav/DVD. I never thought Id say this- I actually WANT to own an Odyssey.
