Overview & Reviews
Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.
You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

Power vs. Fuel Economy - 2005 Honda Accord
By RobertFL - September 17 - 1:04 pmI have owned the car for a few months now and have had no real problems with the vehicle. Those who are hesitant about the fuel milage, think of it: its a V6 Hybrid, not a 4cyl hybrid. If I wanted to get from point A to point A and 1/2, I would have purchased a 4cyl. For a V6, you cannot beat the fuel mileage. I have a lead foot and average 26 in the city. I get 35 on the highway at 85mph assuming I drive 150 miles. The electric motor only assists the car, not takes over the place of the engine. The engine stops when the car stops and does the A/C compressor. If you shift to a low gear then put it back in place, your car will stay running. I personally like the car. Tons of power.

My Honda - 2004 Honda Accord
By pricero828 - September 16 - 10:00 amI bought this car in December and have loved it ever since. It drives as good, if not better thank a BMW or Lexus. The touch-screen navigation system is phonominal and easy to use. The controls are clearly marked. Seats are comfortable with ample room. Large, spacious trunk for storage. Would buy another in a heart beat. If anyone is not sure about buying one, DONT WORRY! THIS CAR WILL KEEP YOU HAPPY AND SAFE!

Best car ever! - 1991 Honda Accord
By mrsdesertkitty - September 16 - 9:15 amI love this car. I bought it on the back lot of a dealership as is. Only changed a few normal parts. Battery, thermostat, ignition switch, and main relay. Still drives like its brand new at 144,000 miles. The antenna does not work and cup holders in a bad place. People laugh but I will own this car for my entire life. Thank you Mr. Honda!

Excellent Value - 2006 Honda Accord
By Steve - September 15 - 6:23 pmWe purchased our 2006 Honda Accord LX SE 5 speed after driving and comparing it to comparably equipped Chevrolet Malibu, Toyota Camry, Nissan Altima and Mazda 6. We found that the Accord compares most favorably overall when compared to the competion. Its ride, handling and performance of the I-VTEC 4cyl is tough to beat, its a very comfortable good handling quiet, fun to drive sedan. Our experience with Hondas has been very positive, our 98 Accord which we still own, has over 90,000 miles and has its original clutch, rear tires and front and rear brake pads. No problems whatsover and it returns around 30mpg in mostly in town driving, we think this 06 model will do even better.

So Far, So Good - 2008 Honda Accord
By Vcaserta - September 15 - 3:36 amBought my EX-L V-6 Coupe on 2/1/08 and then had to take a road trip. The interior is plenty spacious and once I mastered all the controls and settings, they were easy enough to operate. This is replacing a very nice 05 Altima SE V-6 sedan, which had a lot of space I didnt use. The Hondas steering is much nice than the Altima, the turning radius is much smaller. Handling is excellent; body roll almost imperceptible, braking nice and stout, acceleration strong and steady. The trunk is more than sufficient for duffel bags, groceries, etc, although I wish I had the optional cargo net as things do slide around a lot. I have had several people ask me what kind of car it is already!

No Regrets Whatsoever! - 2007 Honda Accord
By F12FAST4U - September 14 - 1:56 amIt has been about 5 years since my last exposure to a Honda Accord. It was a nice car but nothing to get excited about. Well, the 2007, opened my eyes. This car is great. The 3.0 litre VTEC engine married with the 6- speed manual....jeez, this thing is fun to drive. The suspension is sure. The interior is very nice; leather with heated front seats; dual temp controls on the A/C...I can go on. I will...I can get all three of my kids into the trunk with room to spare (joking!). With Honda reliability to look forward to, I have the confidence of knowing that Ill be enjoying this car for years to come. This car is worthy of serious consideration.

Love my new Accord - 2017 Honda Accord
By TimO - September 13 - 7:56 amI recently purchased this car and have driven it for about 3 weeks. The V6 has a ton of power when needed but gas mileage could be better. The drive is very smooth with minimal road noise. The engine sounds great with a nice purr and the V6 is rarely challenged with shifting or acceleration. The leather seating is very soft and comfortable, I hope it holds up over time. Most of the dash is covered in a leather like material but more importantly I can lay my phone down on the dash without worry that it will fly off while turning or hard breaking. When I made my purchase, I was shopping for Lexus, Acura, Hyundai, and Camry. I chose the Honda based on value and quality over the other vehicles. Ive driven Hyundai Sonatas for over 10 years and have been very pleased with the brand. My wife has owned 2 Hondas and both have held the resale value extremely well, something I cannot say for the Hyundai. The car is not perfect and here is my take on some of the technology. The entertainment boot time is way to slow. Not sure why the skimped on the processor but it seems to take over a minute to boot on start up. Even booting up to the FM station takes a long time and there is noticeable lag when switching radio stations. The Bluetooth connection has been flawless with my iPhone and works very quickly. I’ve taken several calls in the car on BT and all the conversations have been clear. Apple car play is a nice feature but the phone needs to be plugged in. It would be a nice alternative to adding the navigation depending on how much you need that feature. I have the built in nav and have tried both. The Apple carplay nav cannot use the sound system will navigating, it can play off iTunes or Apple Apps while navigating but you won’t be able to listen to the radio while using Apple maps, or at least I can’t figure how to do so. My favorite features of the car include the keyless entry, push button start, remote start, back up camera, and adaptive cruise control. The lane watch is okay not really a major improvement over turning your head or using your driving awareness and senses. The camera will blur up when it rains, same for back up camera. Adaptive cruise control is excellent and very easy to use. The lane keeping assistant and breaking warning are great additions for safety and I am glad to have them. Overall I am very pleased with my purchase. It’s a Honda, it’s well built, it will last a while, and it will re-sale well. You really can’t go wrong with this car.

Its a Ford, not Honda. - 1998 Honda Accord
By P. - September 13 - 2:53 amI purchased new. For 9 years and 85K miles, I have had the following problems that were not covered by Honda: 1. CD player died at ~ 40K miles 2. Changed alternator at ~ 60K miles 3. Engine did not start on hot days. Stranded several times. Honda dealers could not fix this problem. An online article helped me to solve it by changing the main relay. 4. Not great fuel efficiency for Honda. I found out this is the problem with my car, 20 mpg highway and 15 mpg city.

Good value for the money - 2003 Honda Accord
By Hondaman - September 12 - 3:56 pmThis is an update from my last review 4 years ago. Now with 30K under the clock, I can say that this car is still good value for the money. True, it is a bit date now compared to Jan 03, but it still better looking than the dopey Camry and the cheap looking Altima. Yes, the rear end is still debatable but with the spoiler in place, its look good enough. The engine is powerful, smooth with reg. gas that several times, I left it in D3 and hardly hear it at 3K RPM. So far, I had a few issues: front brake rotor resurfaced, bad wiper motor and a couple of recalls to fix the 5sp AT and brake caliper. However, it has been reliable every time I turned the key (except on cold days, two).

Good Replacement for PASSAT Owners - 2005 Honda Accord
By VJ - September 11 - 10:00 amAfter looking and test driving the Accord competitors like Altima, SOnato and others. We liked the Accord compared to others in all aspects. Interior color, design, outside color and shape. Good cabin compact and fun drive. It has got some improvements like fog lights, optional shifter etc., to do comapring to PASSAT. But I hope it will be trouble free car than PASSAT. We liked the Graphite Pearl Color. Its has nice look into it.I will surely recommend to others..
