Model Overview:

Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.

You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

Exceptionally smooth, well put together vehicle. Performance is exceptionally quick and steady. The NAV system is well worth the extra charge

Having bought the very first Accord made (1977), i was excited to get back in one after too many years of mom- mobiles. The reviews are mixed, but overall, satisfactory.

  • One Smooth Honda - 2003 Honda Accord

Having put almost 28000 miles on our 2003 EXL-Navi, I can honestly say that this is probably the best car weve ever owned in its price class. Its incredibly smooth, fast, economical to operate and, other than a bubble in one tire, has been absolutely trouble free. Although most people would consider this automobile an appliance, its looks and performance belie that.

My car is used daily. Serviced at regular intervals. I have the 2.4 litre four cylinder engine. As a realtor, most of my business is conducted within the local county I reside in. Ive read many negative reviews regarding the brake wear. My rear brake pads have been replaced at 36,000 mile intervals. This may be due to the small size of the brake pad design. The front brake pads are original and now have 93,000+ miles. There are blind spots to sides, so caution entering highways and changing lanes. Small after market mirrors are avilable to help. A very reliable and economical car. As with any car, preventative maintenance is important. "Be kind to your car and your car will be kind to you". I recommend the Honda Accord. Fuel economy 22-24 mpg local/33-35 mpg hwy.

  • I LOVE MY HONDA - 1997 Honda Accord

I bought this beauty in a trade with another private party for my old 88 accord (190000 mi). I have driven this car only 1000 miles since purchasing it but I have already fallen in love with it. The only thing that I have done is replace the standard air box with a K&N Cold Air Intake to increase the horsepower a little. You cant beat 25 MPG in town and the features that come along with an SE. You couldnt pay me enough to sell this beauty

This car hasnt had a problem ever. and probably wont have a problem until it gets up to about 250,000.

  • DO NOT BUY A HONDA ACCORD! - 2008 Honda Accord
    By -

I bought my 2008 Honda Accord fully expecting the car to live up to Hondas legendary reputation for quality. Unfortunately my rear brakes started to fail after only 18000 miles of normal city and highway driving! I brought the car back to the dealer which replaced the pads for free, but only after I complained after they said brakes "wear differently for different people." Apparently Honda thinks their customers are idiots. I strongly discourage anyone from buying an Accord.

  • Uncomfortable Seats - 2009 Honda Accord
    By -

The seats in my 2009 Honda Accord are so uncomfortable that I am going to sell the car after owning the car for only 8 months. Honda of America is not interested in helping me find a solution.

  • Great all around car - 2005 Honda Accord
    By -

This car is an all around great car. I get great gas mileage, and still have a car with enought power to accelerate pass other drivers on the interstate. The leather heated seats, moonroof,6 disc cd player, xm radio, steering wheel audio controls, and six airbags are just some of the perks that are standard in the EX model. I own the coupe model and the majority of my friends are 6ft plus tall. They all fit comfortably in the back seat. Aesthetically the care looks terrific. All in all, a great all-around vehicle.

  • Accord Hybrid - New Owners Impressions - 2005 Honda Accord
    By -

My objective was to complete all negotiating before I walked into the dealer. I researched the Accord hybrid online and sent e-mails to all local dealers indicating interest to buy when one arrived. Several e-mailed me as they arrived but werent keen on discounting off of sticker. One dealer was willing to sell the car at $1,000 off sticker, if I closed before the end of December. I test-drove the car at that dealer and after about 2 minutes in the car I was sold. I received my Accord hybrid on New Years eve 2004. I have just turned over 1000 miles and my satisfaction has not waned. It is unbelievably quiet, and will really get up and go when asked. No squeaks or rattles.
