Model Overview:

Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.

You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

  • My Honda V6 Ex Review - 2003 Honda Accord
    By -

I have 30k miles on this Accord and bought it new. The power is very impressive and on long trips have got 32mpg. I have owned Toyotas, Fords, Chevrolets, Pontiacs and Nissans, none these vehicles in the same class as this car. Had one minor problem on the interior and the dealer fixed it. Overall i would recommend this car. But not for a younger person that is beginning to drive, too much power, get them into trouble.

  • Honda outperforms similar Japanese Maker - 1999 Honda Accord

I have owned a model year Nissan Altima, a Toyota Camry V6 and the Honda Accord. While I thought the Camry would be my favorite (the Altima was a disaster and traded within one year) after 4 years and 107,000 miles it was in need of serious mechanical attention and was traded. The Accord, however has 137,000 miles and has been the most reliable and required the least maintenance. In fact, its only been in the shop twice over these past 8 years, once for ignition and once for clutch (just recently).

  • A pleasant surprise - 2008 Honda Accord

I have driven Hondas for many years because of their quality and reliability. Yet the 2008 was even better than I thought it would be. I especially like the performance, stability and comfort. I find the criticism of the dashboard controls to be unfounded. The controls are convenient and they make sense. The car is very responsive and drives well in all road conditions. I was able to get 33 MPG on a recent trip. Interior is very roomy and comfortable. All displays are very easy to read. The only negative is that it doesnt have an outside temperature reading, which I really miss. A great car and a great value.

  • What you would expect! - 2007 Honda Accord

Very nice, capable and competent sedan. Excellent fit/finish. Had for a few weeks and the Honda quality has been quite prevalent. The 3 L V6 is very zippy and makes this vehicle extremely nimble. Not like a big-clunky sedan. Handles more like a sports-sedan (not high-performance but fairly tight). Have been averaging about 24.5 mpg on regular fuel (mostly highway). The automatic shifts smoothly and is a nice compliment to the whole package. The 17" alloy wheels give the vehicle a nice steering, handling feel and look. No blind spots in all sight-vision views & lines (like some pillared sedans). The graphite pearl coat exterior paint looks very rich. Thought this was a better car than Camry.

  • Design Flaws - 2008 Honda Accord

This car is beautiful on the outside but it leaves a lot to be desired once you take it on the road. The road noise is extremely load and when you turn up the radio to drown out the noise it makes it impossible to carry on a conversation. The ground clearance of the car is so low that it constantly scrapes underneath the car when going up inclines such as your own drive way. Honda will not and cannot do anything to eliminate these problems. Honda is not receptive to feedback, so my only option is to purchase another vehicle other than a Honda. I did give Honda a try based on their reputation, but that was in my case a mistake. I will never buy another Honda automobile again.

  • Problems with Hybrid - 2006 Honda Accord
    By -

I thought the bugs were out of this car when I purchased it. I was wrong. In cold weather, around 20 degrees, or less, it runs rough with a power loss and thats not acceptable for a $30,000 vehicle. I only have 3000 miles on the car. Honda replaced a "module" and the problem is still there. This tells me Honda does not know what to do. In warmer temperatures, it runs fine. Id love to hear from other Accord Hybrid owners who have this problem, and what you did to solve it. I need help. These cars are rare and I see none on the road and no one to talk to. Id like to give some expensive, free advice to anyone considering this Hybrid. Wait. There are problems. Thank You, Wyatt

  • A Nice Reliable Car - 2001 Honda Accord

I just took over my moms Accord. Its a pretty nice car. The seats are reasonably comfortable and its got a decent sound system and good gas mileage. I feel very safe in this car, and I use it as my daily driver and commute car. Its pretty fun to drive, but Im coming from driving a mini- van, so I dont suppose my vote means much in that area.
