Model Overview:

Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.

You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

  • Never Again - 1998 Honda Accord
    By -

I bought a 98 Honda Accord LX a couple of years ago, had regular service to it and it was great up until recently. The air conditioning knobs on the dash break off easily, and also the catalytic converter went out. All before it even reached 100K on the odometer! When I had to take the car in to have the catalytic converter replaced, there were FOUR other Honda owners there, ALL of them were 1998 Accord LX models, and they all had the same problem w/ the catalytic converter. As a result, Im having to spend yet MORE money in repairs that should have otherwise not been an issue in such a reportedly reliable car. Will NOT buy a Honda Accord again.

  • WISH I KEPT MY 2000 TOWN CAR - 2003 Honda Accord
    By -

HAS ONLY 3500 MILES AND CABLE TO OPEN FUEL DOOR FAILED. HAD TO TAKE THE PANELS OUT OF THE TRUNCK TO GET TO REMOVE CABLE. ENGINEERS NOT SMART ENOUGH TO PUT AN EMERGENCY PULL CABLE IN TRUNK LIKE MOST OTHER CARS. BOUGHT THIS CAR TO HOPEFULLY GET BETTER MILEAGE. BEST I HAVE GOTTEN IS 19.8/MI/GAL. GOT 23 T0 25 ON MY LINCOLN TOWN CAR. HONDA IS TOO NOISY ON THE HIGHWAY - WIND & ROAD NOISE MAKES IT HARD TO HEAR RADIO. I AM TRYING TO TRADE IT FOR A 2003 LINCOLN RIGHT NOW.

  • Love My New Car - 2003 Honda Accord
    By -

Having several family members who own Honda Accords it has been my "dream" to have one of my own. The car has been all I expected and hoped for. It really handles well on the interstate and in town. I was pleased by the gas milage I got driving mostly in town the first week. It got 28 miles to the gallon and that is a big plus to me. I am still finding all the "little" extras it has to offer such as the seat being able to be adjusted up and down. All in all its a very pretty car and I highly recommend one to anyone in the market who is looking for a reliable car.

  • No decision - 2003 Honda Accord
    By -

For a good year now i was trying to decide what kind of coupe i wanted to buy. The main choices were the Nissan 350z and the Honda Accord Coupe. The choice was easy with the accord coupe seating 5 vs 2. and the unleaded regular vs premium. In the long run i think my choice of the Accord Coupe would of been a better decision. Quality, good design, and practical applications make all the difference.

  • Accord # 4 - 2003 Honda Accord
    By -

This is my fourth Hond Accord. Ive been happy with the previous three Accords but this 2003 is a big step up in overall quality. Very quiet and a much better ride. How does Honda make a better car for the same money as a 2002? You need to pay close attention here Ford and GM.

  • Love the Accord - 2004 Honda Accord

The Honda Accord has been an excellent choice for me. The quality is incredible. I cant imagine buying another American car after owning this one. The dealership has provided absolutely incredible service to me. They have gone out of their way to help with any issues I have had. Those issues have been: frozen door lock (from washing it with pressure wash I guess), most recently a problem with Navigation being erractic (they are currently working to resolve this one), possibly a DVD that may be working less than excellent. The only complaint I would have is the fact that the 4 cylinder engine is a bit light on the road and tends to ride a little bumpy & road noise is kind of loud.

  • Never stranded for 10 years - 1995 Honda Accord
    By -

Bought as certified Honda with 35k miles. This Accord wagon has never left me stranded. It always started with the exception of one time in the driveway due to an old battery that was defective. I perform regular maintenance, 7.5k mi synthetic oil, 90k timing belts/Water pump, 30k transmission service Honda Z1 ATF, regular brake and other fluid changes. Car runs like new. In the past 3 years have replaced both CV axles (Boots cracked), exterior drive belts (were original), ABS reservoir (leaking seal) and HVAC Evaporator. Also over 10 years replaced two sets of tires and two sets of brake pads and two batteries. Have CD changer and put 4 new 4-way Pioneer TS-A1682R stereo speakers.

  • Accord Leather is cheap! - 2006 Honda Accord
    By -

I have a 2006 Accord EX/Leather and the leather on the Accord is cheap! I wear dress pants to work and now the leather on the driver seat has little white marks (or holes) where it lost its black color. I drive the car for about 30 minutes each day. My office pants rubbing against the leather should not cause it to lose its color! The other issue I had is the AC condenser was damaged by road debris because it is made of soft material and there is no mesh or grille in front to prevent debris from flying in.

  • Nice, but Somewhat Over-rated - 2005 Honda Accord
    By -

Fun to drive, great mileage on the highway, but in town, it is overrated. I get about 24 in town. Nav feature is great and with the exception of a few new subdivisions, it has exceeded expectations. Mine just got recalled for electric motor battery problems.
