  • Runs like a clock - 1993 Honda Accord

This has been the greatest car that I have ever owned! I have owned it for 3.5 years and I have never had to change the breaks (I down shift). It has never left me sit. The only two problems I have had are the power antenna mast, and the drivers side power window gets stuck sometimes. Thats all! No mechanical problems at all. I had to replace the exaust from the cat back, but that will happen with any car. But Its treated me very well.

  • 140,000 and still going strong!! - 1993 Honda Accord

This is my second accord. I traded in my 1989 too prematurely (it had no problems what-so ever!) but I have not looked back ever since. The car goes and goes...fast! It is very stable on the highway. The engine is still peppy! The best people mover car. I expect to either give it to my son or continue to ride into the sunset! No major repairs, just normal maintainance. I will by another before I die! Smokey

very good quality, excellent gas mileage added no oil, then changed oil at 7000 miles.

  • 11 great years - 1993 Honda Accord

Bought it new and got 202,000 miles before the tranny blew. Low maintenance costs throughout. Change the oil and it just keeps on going. I drive hard commuter miles and got my moneys worth and then some.

  • Hondas New Car - The Honda Lemon - 1993 Honda Accord
    By -

Bought the car in 2001 with 46,000 miles. In 1 1/2 years, I increased the mileage to 90,400. I went thru the following in a span of 3-4 mths: Radiator replaced, timing belt & water pump replaced(I can understand about timing belt & water pump) new valve-covered gasket. The transmission dropped. Yes, a Honda transmission failed. Can you believe it?! I rebuilt the transmission & replaced oil-covered gasket. I think the car just sat & sat during its first 8 yrs. without anyone changing the fluids or driving it much. 3-4 mths. & $3000 later, I think I have rebuilt a new car, but I have renamed this 1993 Honda Accord a 2002 Honda Lemon.

  • Cheap & Reliable - 1993 Honda Accord

Nothing to recommend it except that it is incredibly reliable and costs next to nothing to run. Comfort, handling, features all pretty mundane. Like any good appliance, it does all you want to to do, but is not in any way memorable. Maybe thats what a car should be. Ive had this since new (wifes car) and it now has 188,000 miles. Never failed to start. Never quit. Not a dime spent on anything but routine maintenance(and not much of that...tires last 90,000 miles, still have original struts, etc) except for one flat tire and a brakelight bulb.

  • A Little Disappointed - 1993 Honda Accord
    By -

Bought this car (my first Honda) used with about 84,000 miles. 2 months later I had to do the head gasket because, followed my the flex pipe on the exhaust. 8 months later and 100,000 miles oil sending unit, oil pan gasket and now my water pump is starting to leak. I also have a front tire shimmy when braking, a transmission mount that needs to be replaced and my clutch shudders in the morning. I bought because of Honda reliablity but know I can honestly say that Im not so impressed. Ive owned Chev, Ford and Chrysler products so far my accord is no better than them. Good thing for high resale value.

  • Just keeps ticking - 1993 Honda Accord

I bought my 93 Honda because I wanted a reliable used car. It hasnt let me down. It now has 109,000 My prior Accord (89) I had sold to a friend, who drove it 210,000 miles before sending it to "car heaven." Even after a fender bender three years ago, I havent had any problems. I would recommend it as a trustworthy vehicle with great gas mileage.

  • Great Factory Stereo , Great 1st Car!!! - 1993 Honda Accord
    By -

I bought the car in Plano, TX of April 2001. I bought it off this guy who said a customer of his had abandoned it. 1993 Accord EX Sedan, Black w/ Beige Leather, Sunroof, Factory Alarm, Factory Alloys, Factory AM/FM/CD/Cass Stereo. When I bought the car, the radio had to be programmed because the battery had been disconnected. So for about 8 months, i used nothing but the CD player, and it has just recently began to skip and deteriorate. Oh well, it has a very, very nice sound system for factory speckers. The leather on the door panels is slowly coming loose, showing the original beige cloth in the door insert.

  • keeps going and going.... - 1993 Honda Accord

Ive had this car for about 4 years now and have had to make no repairs outside of standard maintanence. This honda is by far the most reliable car Ive owned. While the ride is reasonably peppy, the styling is pretty sedate and I cant say I find the car particularly exciting. I have no doubt that it will last as long as I want it to though -- great buy and Ive never once been sorry for the purchase. --left passenger automatic window sticks a bit but still works. --Some groans and squeaks at cruising speed.
