Model Overview:

Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.

You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

  • 20mpg on city - 2008 Honda Accord
    By -

This is my 2nd Honda accord. I had a 2000 Accord which I bought brand new and I have no complaints thats why I bought the new 08 Accord. Ive had it for 3 months now and Ive had no complaints except for 1, the most MPG I get on city is only 20mpg, sometimes 17 which makes me hate their "goodbye to gasoline" ad because its not true. I dont drive aggressively, so I dont know if I got bad build or what.

  • Love It - 2013 Honda Accord
    By -

I just picked it up yesterday, so I have to wait to judge the reliability, but I love what Ive seen so far. Drove Acura TSX, 2013 Altima, Rogue and CRV..this beats them all for features and value hands down. Very smooth ride..voice response system easy to learn...while interior not as luxurious as the Acura, the standard features are more numerous in the Accord. I will update this with actual MPG after a few tankfuls.

  • Solid car, check the brakes!! - 1996 Honda Accord
    By -

These cars are all they are cracked up to be. Starts everytime. Change the oil and the engine will run 300,000+ miles. Do not be fooled into thinking you wont spend a dime on maintenence! Things do break like every other car. CV shafts, ball joints, brake rotors, etc. Which by the way, before buying this car (94-97 Accords) get the front rotors checked!! If they are bad (pulsation in the steering wheel) knock $400 right off the price of the car. Or ask that they be replaced before purchasing!

  • Just want to keep driving - 2003 Honda Accord

Love this car, this is the second Honda Accord I have owned, and this is byfar the best. Owned a Nissan Altima (new) for 8 months and hated it, had to trade for this car, would do it again in a heartbeat.

  • 2004 Accord EX V6 - 2004 Honda Accord
    By -

I would give this vehicle an overall 8.5 out of 10 for a car in this category. Its definitely fun to drive and a good improvement from the 02/03 models. I think Honda should add more luxury features and try to make it more of a sports vehicle. Otherwise, not a bad ride!

  • Mixed Review - 2013 Honda Accord
    By -

I have a fairly long commute and after narrowing down mid size cars by gas mileage, the 2013 Accord was one of few choices. After drive tests and seeing what the car offered for the price, I thought is was a great bargain. Its sharp looking and has a great interior and lots of features for the price. And, the gas mileage has been phenomenal! I am averaging around 35mpg in approximately 65/35% highway/city driving. There is one issue that is ruining my new car experience. The CVT transmission is jerky at low speeds. It is quite noticeable and irritating in my stop and go commuting. I recommend test driving the car quite a bit before making your choice to see if the trans is jerky.

  • My 6th Accord - Best Yet - 2008 Honda Accord
    By -

This is my 6th Accord. The difference between the 08 and the 05 that I had was the biggest improvement yet. The 4 banger is quieter and delivers more horses then before. I could not see spending $2k more on the 6. I sell Acuras for a living. No way can I justify the Acura is worth the $9K difference.

  • Love It - 1996 Honda Accord

I bought this car new, and have had it for 11 years and 147000 miles. Weve never had a day of trouble. Its required just basic maintenance. It still drives great and I dont worry about commuting in it.

  • One of the worlds most reliable cars - 1999 Honda Accord
    By -

1999 4i 5MT Accord LX manufactured in Japan (Saitama, IIRC). The only thing thats broken in 9 years is the windshield. Its for all intents as- new, and gets 32ish mpg in mixed driving, which makes it tough to trade in for something "better". As a used vehicle, a well-maintained Accord is about as good as it gets.

  • My 2 Cents - 2009 Honda Accord
    By -

Overall Im happy w/ my car, I bought it 7/31/09 and have put a little over 3k miles on it thus far. My one complaint and I knew this going in is the road noise. Im just not sure what theyve missed but the road noise isnt as good as it should be. Other then that its a great car fun to drive plenty of pickup for a 4 Cylinder. MPG seems to be about 27 thus far (I drive almost exclusively freeway) would like a bit better (my 97 Accord got around 28).
