Overview & Reviews
Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.
You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

Wonderful Automobile - 2000 Honda Accord
By okwey - November 21 - 11:53 pmThis is my first Honda. Impressed w/reliability. Short of routine maintenance and replacing the timing belt, its hassle-free. Drives the same as we bought it 5 years ago. Im truly impressed w/Japanese cars, and would buy another again in the future. Low emission, and best value!

Accord- major transmission problems - 2001 Honda Accord
By bob123456 - November 21 - 10:00 amI have always purchased Hondas and had good experiences. However, after replacing two transmissions at 39k miles, I am very disappointed. Honda is covering the cost but it is a major hassle.

Excellent Car for your Money - 2003 Honda Accord
By BroHammer Lou - November 21 - 10:00 amIve had this car since it was released in March of 03, going on 11000 miles. Coming from an S2000, I wanted something that was less noisy, could fit more people, but kept the fun-to- drive factor. I got exactly that in the Accord Coupe 6-speed. Amazing package. Ultra-quiet; while the suspension is "sport-tuned", it doesnt take away from the exceptional level of silence this car exhibits. On local streets, I find myself forgetting to shift, because the car sounds like its idling when running at around 3000 rpm. On the highway, 80 mph sees the tach at a mere 2500 rpm in 6th gear. I totally agree with Edmunds in saying that this car is "deceptively quick".

fast and smooth - 2003 Honda Accord
By usmc909 - November 21 - 10:00 amVery nice, fast, smooth vechicle. Reliable fun to drive. CHicks dig it! Beats getting a BMW with the same features at a more expensive price.

Shake, Rattle, and Roll - 2003 Honda Accord
By kwh1 - November 21 - 10:00 amThis is the worst assembled car it has ever been my displeasure to own. Shame on the folks in Marysville! Does anyone inspect these things before shipping? I have never been assaulted by so many annoying noises from a vehicle in my life (and I owned a Chevette...)! Rattles, squeaks, clicks, etc. Terrible. My first (and last) Honda. Most difficult standard to get used to Ive ever owned. Vague feeling clutch makes smooth shifting almost impossible.

Great car - 2007 Honda Accord
By Kim - November 19 - 5:16 amI tested several cars...Accord, Camry, Altima. I tried to test a Impala and G6, but the salesmen were not very helpful. The 07 Accord was my first test drive, and the Salesman said I would be back. And I was. best decision I mad. Ive had the car over a week now, and have driven ~800 miles. Its great on gas, comfortable, and the style is classic (with some sporty type features...mud flaps, window deflectors, and rear spoiler).

17 years and still going strong - 1990 Honda Accord
By Todd - November 17 - 9:07 pmI have had my Accord for almost 4 years now. I have had nothing but excellent service from this car. My honda has 324,000 miles on it and I am still getting around 25 mpg. It may be old, and not as stylish as the newer ones, but with gas so high, I will not be getting rid of this car anytime soon.
