This Year's Model Updates:

The Honda Accord -- one of America's favorite vehicles -- has been substantially changed for 2003. Continuing as a sedan and a coupe, the 2003 Honda Accord features more powerful and fuel-efficient engines, increased safety and higher levels of interior comfort. A voice-activated GPS navigation system is optional, and a sporty EX coupe debuts in early 2003.

Pros:
  • Tight build quality, quiet cabin, refined powertrains, comfortable driver seat, outstanding optional navigation system.
Cons:
  • Missing key features, relatively small trunk, mushy handling with V6.

  • No decision - 2003 Honda Accord

For a good year now i was trying to decide what kind of coupe i wanted to buy. The main choices were the Nissan 350z and the Honda Accord Coupe. The choice was easy with the accord coupe seating 5 vs 2. and the unleaded regular vs premium. In the long run i think my choice of the Accord Coupe would of been a better decision. Quality, good design, and practical applications make all the difference.

  • Love My New Car - 2003 Honda Accord

Having several family members who own Honda Accords it has been my "dream" to have one of my own. The car has been all I expected and hoped for. It really handles well on the interstate and in town. I was pleased by the gas milage I got driving mostly in town the first week. It got 28 miles to the gallon and that is a big plus to me. I am still finding all the "little" extras it has to offer such as the seat being able to be adjusted up and down. All in all its a very pretty car and I highly recommend one to anyone in the market who is looking for a reliable car.

  • WISH I KEPT MY 2000 TOWN CAR - 2003 Honda Accord

HAS ONLY 3500 MILES AND CABLE TO OPEN FUEL DOOR FAILED. HAD TO TAKE THE PANELS OUT OF THE TRUNCK TO GET TO REMOVE CABLE. ENGINEERS NOT SMART ENOUGH TO PUT AN EMERGENCY PULL CABLE IN TRUNK LIKE MOST OTHER CARS. BOUGHT THIS CAR TO HOPEFULLY GET BETTER MILEAGE. BEST I HAVE GOTTEN IS 19.8/MI/GAL. GOT 23 T0 25 ON MY LINCOLN TOWN CAR. HONDA IS TOO NOISY ON THE HIGHWAY - WIND & ROAD NOISE MAKES IT HARD TO HEAR RADIO. I AM TRYING TO TRADE IT FOR A 2003 LINCOLN RIGHT NOW.

  • My Honda V6 Ex Review - 2003 Honda Accord

I have 30k miles on this Accord and bought it new. The power is very impressive and on long trips have got 32mpg. I have owned Toyotas, Fords, Chevrolets, Pontiacs and Nissans, none these vehicles in the same class as this car. Had one minor problem on the interior and the dealer fixed it. Overall i would recommend this car. But not for a younger person that is beginning to drive, too much power, get them into trouble.

Major problems with transmission after 10000 miles. Sunroof relay switch broke. Doorknob broke. Dash storage compartment broke. LOUD squeaky brake after 12000 miles. Will get rid of this lemon before warranty is up!

The brakes feels and sounds likes its grinding even after 5-10 minutes after you warm it up. The dealer ship technician says its normal but its way feels and sounds different compared to other cars especially its a 2003 car. and the dealership wanted me to pay $80.00 for them to check it out completely.

Having bought the very first Accord made (1977), i was excited to get back in one after too many years of mom- mobiles. The reviews are mixed, but overall, satisfactory.

  • One Smooth Honda - 2003 Honda Accord

Having put almost 28000 miles on our 2003 EXL-Navi, I can honestly say that this is probably the best car weve ever owned in its price class. Its incredibly smooth, fast, economical to operate and, other than a bubble in one tire, has been absolutely trouble free. Although most people would consider this automobile an appliance, its looks and performance belie that.

  • Good value for the money - 2003 Honda Accord

This is an update from my last review 4 years ago. Now with 30K under the clock, I can say that this car is still good value for the money. True, it is a bit date now compared to Jan 03, but it still better looking than the dopey Camry and the cheap looking Altima. Yes, the rear end is still debatable but with the spoiler in place, its look good enough. The engine is powerful, smooth with reg. gas that several times, I left it in D3 and hardly hear it at 3K RPM. So far, I had a few issues: front brake rotor resurfaced, bad wiper motor and a couple of recalls to fix the 5sp AT and brake caliper. However, it has been reliable every time I turned the key (except on cold days, two).

  • Not what I expected - 2003 Honda Accord
    By -

I love the car overall. Some issues I did not believe were Honda issues have come up. Cabin squeeks everywhere, brakes over sensitive and now the rotors shake with 49k miles. I am the second owner, appears brakes have been replaced before. Paint chips all over. Great car to drive but build quaility is below Honda standards. Plenty of power for a 4 cyl.
