Overview & Reviews
Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.
You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

Hidden Gem - 2010 Honda Accord
By jrasero23 - April 16 - 4:59 pmOdd to say an Accord is a hidden gem, but Honda sells thousands of more 4 door sedans compared to the 2 door coupes, so its easy to overlook the coupe. The coupe is 70% mid size sedan and 30% sports car. No one will ever think the Accord is a sports car, but with its sporty coupe shape, Bentley like back, and aggressive front the coupe looks great. Pair the coupe up with a V6 and you have 271 HP to whip you around. Where the coupe falls short from a sports car is steering which is numb and while the VCM saves gas, acceleration isnt always 100% smooth with the auto. By far the Accord coupe has one of the biggest backs and trunks for a coupe.

VERY GOOD USED CAR - 2003 Honda Accord
By hondas_rule - April 14 - 3:25 pmBought this as my work car this past Christmas break with 121k miles on it. These are great cars but Honda did have some troubles with this new body style in 03. The V6s eat up transmissions if you are the type to mash the gas and make the transmission shift under full throttle acceleration. The 4 cyls dont seem to have transmission issues. I had to replace the cruise control switch on the steering column which was an easy and cheap fix ( $35 on eBay ). The driver side door lock actuator which requires taking the door panel off went bad ( $20 on eBay ). Drivers seat belt light on the dash wont go out even though I have it buckled. Not that big a deal. Overall a great car for $5800

BUILT FOR THE LONG HAUL - 2005 Honda Accord
By hondas_rule - April 14 - 3:01 pmFor the money the Accord EX-L 4 cyl is one of if not the best used car out there. Legendary dependability. Good on gas. Comfortable nice driving cars. Parts are cheap and easy to get. Cars are easy to work on. Bought mine with 38k miles. I do all the maintenance myself. The only thing I have had to fix with this car is the serpintine belt on the engine started to squeak at 100k so I replaced it. You can classify that as regular maintenance BTW. Car has 132k miles now and I need to adjust the valves since they starting ticking more than usual from a cold start. Its an easy job requiring no parts, just labor. 05, 06 & 07 Accord EX-L 4 cyls have to be the best used car period!

2012 Honda Accord SE 4 Dr - 2012 Honda Accord
By palmblue - April 9 - 2:40 pmI love this car and have had it more than a year. I see other complaint like the seats but you can push the button for the lumbar to go all the way back so you dont feel and it is fine. I have driven for 5 hour trips and I am fine in this car and comfortable more than other cars I have driven and same with my wife. I also like the road feel of the car so it truly is a drivers car with great handling and responsiveness. The car is a sleeper and the vtech ready to unleash its inner beast anytime you have need for the extra punch and nice exhaust sounds. Hondas are just all around great cars and no issues and I drive rough and still cant break it.

Amazing vehicle - 2006 Honda Accord
By ptr81 - April 5 - 11:04 amWe purchased our Honda Accord SE in May 2013. It is amazing - with great fuel economy, impeccable build quality, and outstanding reliability. It starts flawlessly in -40 C weather and smoothly rushes to redline when its driven hard. Although the steering is light, it is communicative and direct. This is one of the best Honda vehicles we have ever owned - next to my 1996 bare-bones Canadian Civic LX 5MT (DX in the US) Sedan.

Best Car Ive ever had - 2009 Honda Accord
By commuter15 - April 3 - 11:20 amI bought my 2009 Honda Accord EX-L 3.5 L with Navigation new from the dealer in 2008. I now have 93,xxx miles on it with no problem. I changed the oil every 6k mile and thats it! Dealer sold me 4 oild chnage for $100. That is it. Oh, I almost forget. After 6000 miles, the dealer replaced the rear breaks at no charge to me. Buy it, drive it and enjoy it. It is a most dependable car Ive had.

Transmission issues Honda Wont Acknowledge - 2002 Honda Accord
By thuglife714 - April 1 - 11:23 pmI am the third owner of this car after my uncle. My uncle at 68,000 miles had to replace the transmission $2500. Then later he sold the car to me. with 116,000 miles on it.. At 129,000 miles I had to rebuilt the transmission $1500 now currently at 143,100 miles symptoms of transmission slipping hesitating yet again. Meaning a new rebuilt.. engine code P1751. I was thinking of buying the 2014 accord but the problems this car has given me not going to. HONDA doesnt appreciate its customers and doesnt want to acknowledge The Problem with these transmissions.. 98-02 models #HateHonda

It is still a good value. - 2008 Honda Accord
By capeangler - March 27 - 12:13 pm2008 Ex-l v-6 . 80000 miles. I have had none of the reported problems in the 18 months I have had this car. The v-6 Accord has great power but the mileage is no where near the EPA estimate. I get 18-22 city and 25-26 highway. The cylinder deactivation seems smooth but I feel the effect on Mpg is minimal. The only thing I had to do was replace the heater motor which I have done on every Honda I have owned, and there has been several. I have to say that the lexus is a much more quiet and refined car but it is also quite a bit more expensive. I would have bought the Es 350 If I had driven it before I purchased the Honda. My mechanic says Honda and Toyota are bad for his business. Enough said

BORING, desperately boring - 2011 Honda Accord
By gangofme - March 26 - 12:32 pmI have never questioned the reliability and build quality of Honda cars. This is my third. But I need out of it. Im getting too old to think the rest of my life will be spent wondering if ill be able to merge onto Texas highway traffic, and having cars behind me wishing Id install a supercharger on this slothful, well-built family car. The aftermarket doesnt exist for this car. Know why? Because you need to start with a realistic platform to even think about buying more performance! If youre retired, or maybe wanting a slow safe car for your teen, this car is for you. If you like to drive, not so much.

2014 Honda Accord LX - 2014 Honda Accord
By peripatetic - March 26 - 6:03 amAfter going through hell with an old German car, I decided to get a new car. This one was it. I drive approximately 30-50 Thousand miles a year so long term reliability was my key. You cannot go wrong with this car. So far so good. I already have almost 3,000 miles. With the exception of the ride quality my suggested improvements are few.
