Overview & Reviews
Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.
You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

Good overall vehicle - 2009 Honda Accord
By PCPostman - December 5 - 11:40 amAs previous Honda van owners, I felt we couldnt go wrong with the Accord when I needed to upgrade my 12-year old car. Has good pick-up from start and when on the highway and can get up to triple digits if necessary. Ive had no issues with it in the first 10 months of ownership, which is what I expected. Want more speed and features? Step up to the EX/V6. Want good, reliable, safe, basic transportation? Kind of hard to go wrong with the Accord.

Third Accord - 2005 Honda Accord
By DesertCoupe - December 2 - 4:43 pmThis is my third Honda Accord. I traded in a 2003 Mustang GT for this fully loaded Accord Coupe and couldnt be happier. The car is fun to drive and the ride is excellent. I upgraded to the Honda 17" Wheels and the car looks awesome!! I would recommend this car to anyone. A great ride!!

Heck of a car - 2003 Honda Accord
By Shiloh - December 2 - 2:00 amWhen they said they were going to change the Accord, I was skeptical. I skipped the body style change in 98 and ran up 180K miles on my 95. After test driving the 03, I was sold. Its the best car out there for the money.

Best Sedan in the Market - 2007 Honda Accord
By Choy - December 1 - 10:36 pmFirst time to drive a sedan. This car is so smooth, nice handling and very steady to drive. Horse power is excellent and it is there if you need it. It is probably the best family car you could have.

Takes a lickin and keeps on tickin - 2005 Honda Accord
By Melissa - December 1 - 1:45 amIve had 3 trouble-free years with my Accord. Two accidents left me fine, and the car (repaired) is back in perfect condition. I average 32 mpg with mostly freeway driving. Beside the typical maintenance, Ive had to do nothing to it. Its roomy with high quality interior materials. In short, I love it. Its not a highly exciting car, but I knew that before I purchased it. I will continue to purchase Hondas.

Love this car, has a lot of power - 2005 Honda Accord
By on the go - November 30 - 3:11 pmIve had this car for 2 years now and put 60,000 miles on it commuting to work. Im averaging 32-35mpg, at 75mph. yes, there are other hybrids which will give a lot better gas mileage, and I have test driven a lot of them, but they are gutless in power and do not handle well in turns. This car has the best of both worlds and the quality is better than the others also. The Toyota Prius may be the best out there for saving on gas, but the inside of that car is cheesy and they offer no leather. Im glad I bought this Honda Accord hybrid. I will sacrifice some mileage for the power, comfort, and quality. Wish Honda would continue to make them. 2006 was the last year.

Accordingly boring! - 2005 Honda Accord
By James in Fairfax - November 30 - 8:29 amBought an 05 EX Sedan 4-cylinder w/ auto. Purchased based on reviews this is a "sporty family sedan". Its not. I had buyers remorse a week after purchase. Nothing makes me want to drive this car...nothing! Its so boring to drive I need to check my pulse to make sure Im not sleeping. IMO, this is a two-faced car: Extremely reliable, economical to own, attrative to look at. Yet, its boring to drive, too large, poor driving qualities, horrible brakes, twitchy steering with placid handling, poor paint quality. Appearance doesnt match the drive. This car has no personality. If driving point A to point B is all that matters...buy an Accord. 08 isnt much better, just bigger!

One of the greatest cars Ive ever had! - 2000 Honda Accord
By Honda Owner - November 28 - 6:31 pmWeve had this car now for over five years. Its been (and still is) a fantastic car! The sound system sounds great, even after eight years. The V6 engine makes it incredibly fun to drive. The only major mechanical problem weve had with the car was that the transmission went out about two years ago. Apparently this has been a problem for this particular Accord model. Honda replaced the transmission for free because the car had less than 100,000 miles on it. The only other complaint weve had with the car was that the leather on the drivers seat started cracking about four years after we bought the car. Other than that, it still runs and looks great

Great car, jury still out though - 2005 Honda Accord
By eak - November 28 - 1:43 amI have owned Volvos all my life(37 yrs.) and I am extremely impressed with this cars safety record; a large reason why it won out over the Camry and any American sedan. The 4cyl. is plenty peppy enough and the interior design is very ergonomically friendly. The 6 speaker stereo was a pleasant suprise. Overall this car drives beautifully in any environment with plenty of power especially when stepping out to pass at 65-80mphs. It is so quiet that I actually was doing 90 and didnt realize it until I looked down at the speedometer! Whoops. Jury still out at only 200 miles on the car.
