Model Overview:

Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.

You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

  • Great Car - 2004 Honda Accord

My wife is the primary driver and she loves the car. I have driven it several times and find it fun to drive. Very smooth shifting transmission. Peppy 4 cylinder engine. The exterior design is a little bland but the interior design and quality are excellent. The one significant thing lacking is that the controls on the steering wheel are not illuminated.

  • V-6 Accord Ride Comfort - 2004 Honda Accord

Although I do not like the exterior design, the interiors are well appointed -- and to me, luxurious. Handling is satisfactory; but the comfort of ride is by far the worst of all cars that I have owned -- one feels every bump and road defect at both high and low speeds. I keep thinking that something is terribly wrong with this car, rated so highly by critics. This is our first Honda; and it has been a disappointment because of its ride. Obviously, Honda has not solved the problem of a bigger engine (V-6) with front wheel drive and its current suspension system.

  • Tips For 2012 Honda Owners - 2012 Honda Accord
    By -

Hello, while this might not be the right place to put this information I hope someone can find It useful. I am currently in college and drive 50 miles a day highway. I purchased this car used two months ago and so far its been great! It is a 2012 special edition with 55,000 mi. Being a 2012 it isnt to advanced, but it works very well for me I love the layout and the controls. I will say that it is quite uncomfortable for me I am 62 and after about an hour of driving I get extremely stiff but for short drives it works out just fine. My gas millage is great in my opinion for the size of the car but below I have created a chart in which I have gathered data on my driving and my MPG and how I drive. The Fuel tank is 18.5 gallons which is very nice but when driving aggressively and over 65+ I have found that my average MPG is close to 23 (this is all highway) and driving more sensibly at around 55-60 I can usually get 30MPG Therefore with 23 Mpg you can go 425 miles on one tank while 555 miles on the other, giving you a difference of 129.5 miles dividing that by thirty in which you could use those miles if you drive smarter @30MPG you save 4.316 GALLONS PER FILL UP!! And lets say right now im from Texas and gas here is about 2.00 A gallon so you can save 8.60 A Fill UP!! Lets say you fill up 4 times a month so 8.60 X 4= 34.36 that you can save a month so by driving smarter you can save an entire tank of gas a month! And 34.36 X12 Thats 412.33 DOLLARS A YEAR! (or about 22 fill ups on an empty tank) I hope you all find this information useful and maybe even save some money!:D Overall I would highly recommend this car to anyone it is pretty basic but gets the job done and efficiently!

  • The little car that cant - 2017 Honda Accord
    By -

This car will not deliver anywhere near the 34 mpg EPA rating. The engine revs are too high at highway speeds. The engine is turning 2300 rpms at 75 mph. My 2013 Acura TL with a V-6 and EPA rating of 28 mpg consistently got 20 to 29 mpg on the exact same trips I currently drive and the engine only turned 2000 rpms. Honda refuses to admit a problem or help. Additionally the acceleration feature on the cruise control does not function as it did on previous models. Now, when the cruise control is engaged and the + button is held down the car will NOT downshift and quickly accelerate to a higher speed. This feature is so sluggish to respond it has been rendered useless by the Honda engineers. Dont take my word, test drive one for yourself; then believe me, you wont get the fuel mileage that is advertised. I wonder if Honda is trying to do what Volkswagen did by cheating the EPA mileage tests with a different setup in the test cars. In any event, after 10 Honda/Acura cars since 2005 this is my last!

  • Excellent Car - 1992 Honda Accord

I bought my car with 144K, replaced the belts, hoses, brakes, tires, fluids and cv axle. This car has been solid. I now have 260K and it still runs strong. All maintenance is done regularly and it keeps going strong. There is some rust over the wheel wells of the rear tires but driving in Minnesota for 15 years will do that. I would recommend a Honda Accord to anyone.

  • Outstanding Value - 2008 Honda Accord

This my second Honda, had a 90 Prelude Si, have to say Honda has certainly increased the fun factor! My coupe is the 6 speed manual, have had two bad experiences with 6 speed autos in other brands, (test drove the Accord EX-L V-6 with the 5 speed auto, was not impressed, decided to get the 6 speed and shift myself, great decision. This thing will fly low, was amazed at the power and response, handles great, wouldnt know that its FWD unless you push it past its limits. Gas mileage after 1000 miles is averaging apprx 23- 24 mpg in a blend of city/highway. A 75 mile freeway trip at 65 mph in sixth gear produced 28.4 which is above what Honda indicated. All around so far great vehicle..

  • Good car - 1994 Honda Accord

This is a decent car with very few problems. With 138k miles, I have put on a timing belt, water pump and new seals to prevent sudden oil loss (honda recall item). The window regulator was replaced, too. It gets 28 mpg overall. It has a smooth but sporty ride and is quite fast for an automatic. The paint is oxidized a bit and there are some rust spots. I can depend on this car. It is pretty easy to work on as well. Youll enjoy this car.

  • Fun to Drive with Honda Sturdiness - 2008 Honda Accord
    By -

Just got my new EX-L 6MT with Navi and I already love it. I have owned a Mustang, BMW and other sports cars and really they were no more fun to drive than this car. Its engine pulls hard and the disk brakes work smooth too. I love the Bluetood feature. It helps to stay connected to friends and family on the phone without having to give up the fun of the stick shift. This is the third Honda I have owned with the Navi and I do like this version with the knob better then the touch screen. It is easier to make minor adjustments without fiddling with the screen. I bought the red model just like in the photo spreads and it is a real looker.

  • Best Value - 2010 Honda Accord
    By -

Recently purchased an Accord Coupe, EX- L, 2.4 auto. Build quality is great, that is why I by Hondas and this Accord has it. Exterior styling is fine but it is on the inside where Honda excels. Fit and finish is superior to any other vehicle in this price range. I was a bit leary of going with the 4 cyl vs. the 6 cyl. However, I tried both and did not notice enough difference to justify the 6 cyl price. Looked at the Altima, Maxima, Mazda 6, 2011 Sonata (liked the styling but have concerns regarding Korean quality), Fusion/Malibu (prior purchases of Ford/Chevy left me with concerns regarding long term reliability). Simply put, the Accord is clearly the best and this vehicle proves it once again.
