Model Overview:

Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.

You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

  • Very happy Honda owner - 1994 Honda Accord

I have owned this car for 8 years and 152,000 miles and I have spent $-0- on repairs!!! Honda quality is incredible! It still drives very nicely and rides great; does not show its age at all. I also own another Honda, a new Odyssey.

  • Great tech but the skimped on materials - 2016 Honda Accord
    By -

Great tech and great ride but it is diminished by the following cost -cutting / design flaws.. 1. No volume knob! Really? Do they not know how important this is?!? 2. GPS is not very reliable: Often takes a while to find your location/direction. Needs a better antenna. 3. Remote start has a short reach. Lame! How am I suppose to start my car from my office?? 4. There is no visor over the dashboard / navigation screen to prevent sun washout. There should be. 5. Navigation system does not show you the name of the road you are on. It only shows you the name of the road you are approaching. That is useful but it should display the name of the road you are on.

  • Nice All Rounder That Is Fun To Drive - 2006 Honda Accord

Bought my car in Feb, enjoying it so far. Clutch took a while to get used to, and i wish the nose was further differentiated from other/previous Accords. Everything else is pretty awesome about this car, i especially like the little orange mood light next to the interior lights. Stereo is pretty nice and interior is well executed.

  • I became THAT Soccer Mom - 1991 Honda Accord

Love this car! It was my first (and so far only) new car when I bought it 24 years ago - I raised two kids with this car - from infant seats to pop-ups, coolers, first aid kits and extra clothes in the back for club team soccer tournaments, this car has never left me or them by the side of the road. Im at 225000 miles and still never worry about jumping in the car for a road trip. Never took it to a dealer - too expensive. Have a long term shop that has taken care of it for the last 10 years. I have a 5 speed manual, and I love driving it, it is a dream car. Honda got it right with this one!

  • Good car - 2008 Honda Accord

I bought this because my Mercedes died on me. My first accord, I am surprised how well it runs, and a lot of features that I had on my merz. before. plus i am now using regular octane. They are right this feels like a luxury car with the wealth of features and safety convenience.

  • Rattles and squeaks - 2005 Honda Accord
    By -

I like this vehicle alot the first week. But as the weather is getting cold, the interior dashboard is starting to squeak and rattle when going over bumps. I am not the only one experiencing this. I have read other with complaints about this. Whats going on with American made Honda now...just like the domestic brands now...do something Honda.

  • Dont Believe the Hype... - 2009 Honda Accord

Disappointed. Lets start with the good: Attractive design, excellent build quality, almost german-car like. Great handling. Reliability is fine. Now the BAD: Very uncomfortable seats, and driving position. Driver area is very confined and like sitting in a hole. Will never find a satisfying or comfortable position. Car looks good standing alone, but appears small and dinky next to other cars, even compacts. Rear-end design is ugly. 2.4L engine feels slow. Cant pass or merge to save your life. Rough idol, raggedy engine sound. Gas mileage not impressive. Gets 535 miles per tank, where Camry, Malibu, Sonata, get 600 miles/tank. Accord falls short on many fronts.

  • Awesome - 2005 Honda Accord

This has serious power! I was expecting something little better than gutless. Its a hybrid, afterall. It did 124 mph and had plenty left before I felt I needed to slow it down. I got 26 mpg or so for the first 1000 miles. Im now getting in the high 30s and even topped 40 mpg last week. It wasnt cheap - but Hondas have always held great value for me. Ive owned 6 Hondas to date. Highly recommend the Hybrid.

  • Awesome sedan - 2008 Honda Accord

Great forum by Edmunds. Just got an Accord and no regret at all. I trade down from 2006 Acura RL and 2004 G35 Infiniti because of the Ga$ prices. I looked at Maxima almost bought one then again ga$ prices. I am glad I did because this ride is nice for 1/2 the price of RL. I like the interior space, dash-board, and a very functional cabin. I only have 200 miles on it thus far, so no complaints here. Just what I expected from a 4cyn. car and much more in style and craftsmanship. Way to go Honda!

  • Outstanding Car! - 2008 Honda Accord
    By -

Before buying the Accord, I test drove the Altima & Camry. The Camry was very comfortable, but not sporty and the ride was boring. The Altima was sporty, but I chose the Accord over it because itÂ’s a bit larger, and the EX trim had all the options I wanted. I was planning to get the 3.5 L V-6 engine, but after test driving the 4-cylinder (190 HP), I was very content with the pickup! So I saved $2 K upfront and will also save down the road since the 4 cylinder gets slightly better gas mileage. ItÂ’s a great car, spacious, comfortable, fun to drive, and handles very well. I would suggest opting for the body side moldings to help prevent door dings.
