Overview & Reviews
Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.
You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

I Love My Honda - 2001 Honda Accord
By rstcrew - December 19 - 10:00 amI Love My Honda. I only wish I could have owned this car sooner. I get 29 mpg hwy. faithfully. The only work Ive had done is regular oil changes. I have the ex model totally loaded and I love the luxury. The only bad choise I made was the low profile wheels and tires. Ive decided they are for people that have time to drive 5 mph over every dip, railroad track and bump. I have already replaced two tires with side wall bumps. Other than that(and I chose the big rims and tires) I wouldnt trade it for the world. ( Thank God the PT crusier was too over priced when I need a new car)

Need improvements in ... - 2002 Honda Accord
By alu - December 19 - 10:00 amOwn a 2001 EX 4Cyl. Overall, it is a nice car. Regret to pick black color. It looks nice at first but when there is a door ding, it shows clearly; And also it will show dirt clearly too if not washed frequently. The car is so far trouble-free. It drives nicely. The suspension is bit stiff when I feel really tired. It holds the corner or curve well with precise steering. Transmission is ok. It cruises quietly, effortlessly at 70-75mph. However, when it starts from stop, it is sluggish at 15-20mph.

Facing the facts - I finally got a Honda - 2002 Honda Accord
By dtskiles - December 19 - 10:00 amI went to get the BMW330i. Came home with an Accord V6 Sedan. What a surprise. Glad I did. Much better car. Theyre powerful, well designed and bulletproof. The V6 Sedan is basically the Acura TL. (My father-in- law even said hell probably replace his 95 Legend with an Accord.) Only other car I might trade it for? 2002 CRV - but my wife got that one.

It aint no old lady - 1994 Honda Accord
By beanpole - December 18 - 1:12 amDont hate! This is probably the best car ever! One of the last Accords made-in and imported from Japan. After all these years, it still taunts most other vehicles on the road. Agile and spry. The least wiggle room on a busy highway just makes this jackrabbit more fun! During the last 13yrs. of ownership, this Honda had only one major repair and was my fault for not heeding factory recall of front seal. Time lapsed and I paid! It was a good opportunity to replace the timing belt, all seals and other rubber parts. Texas climate probably would have worn em out soon enough. Last week, it needed a $240 ignition switch. Ooh! Still gets 25-30mpg and rockets to 110mph. Who needs a hybrid?

2008 Accord LX-P - 2008 Honda Accord
By Roy - December 17 - 2:00 pmI have owned my Accord for about 6 weeks and am fairly satisfied with the car. A big disappointment was that the brake rotors were warped with only 125 miles on it. The dealer turned the rotors and all is OK now, but it makes me wonder if Hondas quality is slipping. These are my thoughts: Pros: Fun to drive, fairly roomy, looks good, gas mileage is OK (28 MPG combined), but not as good as Honda advertises. Cons: Most uncomfortable seats in any vehicle I have ever owned. Even though the seat is powered, it will not adjust low enough in the front to keep pressure off the back of my thighs. The seat is also very hard and becomes unbearable after a couple of hours driving.

First Honda - 2004 Honda Accord
By dirkbob - December 17 - 10:00 amAfter hearing years of people raving about Honda quality, I broke down and purchased an Accord EX, After only two weeks, I can say that I doubt I will ever by any vehicle other than Honda. Car is great and fun to drive. If the quality holds up as expected, it will easily be the best buy I have made.

Road and interior review. - 2004 Honda Accord
By David Hicks - December 17 - 10:00 amToo much understeer, very poor tires, torque steer very bad while turning from a stop. TAKE OFF THE VERY STUPID top speed limiter (131mph). Why sell a sport cpe with limited top speed. BMW and Mercedes uses 155 MPH. Overall a very fun car to drive, excellent fuel economy. A better grade of alloy wheels would help, such as a polished or chrome. AM/FM radio sounds very poor, needs much better speakers and higher power amp. This would beat any car in this and higher MSRP. Overall very good!

Astounding reliability. - 2004 Honda Accord
By Jeff - December 17 - 7:06 amThose of you reading this are probably looking at or considering a 2004 Accord. Mine was bought new (EX V6 with Navi) in March of 2004. I commute 120 miles each day, 5 days a week. I now have 105,000 miles on the car. This is easily the best and most reliable car Ive owned (out of about 23 in the last 20 years). I consistently get 27-30 mpg with the V6. I change the oil regularly myself with Mobil 1 oil. If you can believe it, I have not has so much as a light bulb burn out in 105,000 miles. Zero problems. I had the timing belt and water pump replaced by Honda as I approached the 100k mile mark. Other than that and oil and air filter - nothing. I just love this car.

Honda has disappointed me - 2012 Honda Accord
By knapppj - December 16 - 4:15 amI will be short and sweet. I bought the car with 44,000 miles off a Honda Lease and by 50,000 miles I noticed a power steering leak. I found the power steering rack was leaking. I tried to get it covered by Honda of America but they would not pay for it. I just replaced it for $900 because I was sick of the oil spot in my garage. I also had the wire recoil break in the steering wheel and lost all controls on the steering wheel and I am assuming I lost my airbag as well until its fixed. Honda of America again denied my claim as I figured this is a defective part. So I will be without airbag until I cough up the $500 to repair it. This is all under 65,000 miles. At this rate, I will have to spend $1400 every 3-5 years to replace these items if Honda is saying they werent defective. I am switching to Toyota. My parents also had issue with their Honda Odyssey and Honda of America would not cover a defective transmission for them.
