Overview & Reviews
Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.
You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

Wonderful Sedan - 2008 Honda Accord
By Brian M - January 6 - 12:13 pm190hp 4cyl vtec has good smooth power for a 4 cyl. revs up there with no complaints. The steering is pretty tight but different in a way if youre used to more road feel it leans more toward isolation IMHO... but good . The interior is tight and well put together. Im already used to the "buttony" radio /ac controls... look, its not that bad, everything is reachable with one hand like typing! The looks of the car "grew" on me . I like it a lot now. I guess I was expecting the new 08 Accord to look dressed up ordinary but it looks classy and sleek to me. I love the way it handles, it has 17 inchers on it - Michelin 225s. Road noise not an issue with me, its acceptable.

Fantanstic Value - 2006 Honda Accord
By Shreveport Sam - January 6 - 2:03 amA very solid, comfortable, and well-built car. Good, economical highway car. Car looks more expensive than it is. For the price, the car is very well-equipped and I have not missed any extras that are available on the other Accord models. Also, the car came with airbags and ABS as standard equipment. I am used to driving a small Civic, and have not had any trouble adjusting to the larger Accord.

Sweet Ride.... - 2005 Honda Accord
By Jimbo - January 5 - 5:06 pmIve had the new Accord EX-L for about a week. It is one sweet ride. Some reviews have complained about road noise, but its not a problem for me. The car is quick and responsive, escpecially for a 4 cyl. car. The auto tranny is unbelievably smooth. You can hardly tell when it shifts. Handling is great. The interior has a quality feel. I especially love the XM radio that comes with the leather package. One catch is that the front passenger seat does not have a heater in the backrest, just the seat. The brakes on my car are a little touchy, so I will bring it back to the dealer for an adjustment. Other than that, its the perfect car for me.

Still purring! - 1999 Honda Accord
By Robert - January 3 - 9:43 pmWell, now what a surprise the ole-girl has 150k on her and looks and drives like new. Do what the maintenace schedule says use only Honda parts! This car has been a delight to me and my wife now for eight years! No mechanical failures only one slightly costly driver side door mechanism hickup. A little pin broke and locked the door permanently. It was real interesting taking the door panel off and cutting the locking mechanism out with a dremel. Total fluke nobodies fault. 32 gpm highway which is most of our driving. Pushes snow with quality snow tires. Love stick shift, changed out the cloth for leather heated for $1400, would do it again. Going to drive her till she dies!

Best Accord yet - 5Spd EX - 2000 Honda Accord
By csmith6281 - January 2 - 10:00 amStepped up to the EX for my 4th Accord (the other 3 are still in the family and going strong). Sun roof, leather, CD player, great performance for 4-cyl, who needs a Lexus? I love this car. Comfortable for 5 adults, fun to drive, best styling of any Accord.

Kool Car - 2003 Honda Accord
By Another No Name - January 2 - 10:00 amExcellent Car in performance! It is very zippy with that 240HP; love the V6!!!! The handling is not as good as I thought, but it is good. Very nice interior design. The exterior design could be better.

first time Accord buyer - 2003 Honda Accord
By Happy Accord Owner - January 2 - 10:00 amOnly had my 2003 Accord for 3 weeks. I do not put many miles on a car, but needed something reliable. Did my homework and bought the LX. Much thanks to those who participated in the Edmunds reviews... helped me make my decision. The 2.9% financing is wonderful!! My dealership experience was fair.

Accords have alignment problems - 2003 Honda Accord
By Solidplace - January 2 - 10:00 amIf you are considering buying an Accord, be very careful about the alignment. Upon the test drive of my Accord, I noticed bad alignment pulling the car to the right. I was assured that an alignment could be done to correct it, but after 3 alignment it still is noticably off alignment. It still pulls to the right, and now the steering wheel is several degrees off when the car is going straight. It is a tremendously negative feeling to have purchased a brand new car and to have the dealer tell you that the car cannot be perfectly aligned. So make sure you can accept the alignment of your Accord before you buy it.

Just got it, but a great car! - 2003 Honda Accord
By rpd197 - January 2 - 10:00 amI scrutinized the Toyota Camary LE and SE, the Nissan Altima 2.5S, and the Honda Accord LX and EX, and what I came up with was for the money, the Honda Accord beat all of the above mentioned vehicles, hands down.

LX 4Dr, 5Spd - 1998 Honda Accord
By csmith6281 - January 2 - 10:00 amThis is my 3rd LX 4Dr, 5Spd sedan, and the best one yet. (The other 2 are still in the family, and going strong) Honda gets incredible performance out of 4 cylinders, and the smooth, easy shifting clutch and trans make this car a ball to drive. Great handling under all conditions; never stuck in snow in New England winters. Loads of room, comfortable for 5 adults.
