This Year's Model Updates:

Following a complete redesign last year, the 2009 Honda Accord carries over unchanged, though the V6's official engine output is up a smidge after further testing revealed slightly more power than previously measured.

Pros:
  • Ample passenger space, high-quality interior, above-average steering feel, high resale value, available coupe body style.
Cons:
  • Intrusive road noise, button-heavy center stack, some find seats uncomfortable.

  • Absolutely, best value for the dollar - 2009 Honda Accord

My Honda accord drives like a sports car, has great positive steering, not the mushy feeling like Nissan or Toyota. Love the exterior design, even Mercedes has copied it. Im 6,2" and enjoy the leg room. The seats are great, reminds me of the 911-s I used to own. The interior also has the full size feeling (the Altima and Camry were definitely mid-size). Gas mileage is very satisfactory, getting about 23 1/2 mph town-33 mph hiway.

I purchased my new 2009 Honda Accord LX in late December 2009 and couldnt be happier. Even the base model comes very well equipped. I was torn between the Toyota Camry and the Honda Accord and once I drove each vehicle, the Accord won hands down. The interior of the Accord is very similar to the Acura and looks great. I have the 4 cylinder and am pleasantly surprised with the acceleration and handling. Thanks to my new Accord, I dont mind getting stuck in traffic anymore!

This is my first Honda, I do have to admit its a fun car. Not to mention the reputation of this car was the reason why I went from a Monte Carlo SS (07) to a honda accord fully loaded. So far so good... I hope with the proper maintenance it will last as long as my brothers accord with no problems (12 years.)

  • Terrific Value - 2009 Honda Accord

I bought a 2009 Honda Accord LX polished metal metallic with gray interior. I bought it for 800 under invoice. The fit and finish is excellent. The interior is spacious with high quality materials. The 2.4L 4 cylinder engine generates just the right amount of power with good gas mileage. The LX has just the right amount of amenities. I feel like I am driving a luxury car. I am impressed with the standard safety features: 4 wheel disc brakes with ABS, EBD, VSC with Traction Control, air bags, and DRL. The crash test ratings are among the best. The literature reports low maintenance costs and high residual value. In its class, I think that it is the best value for the money!

  • Accord EX-L 4 cylinder w/Navi - 2009 Honda Accord

Car is nice but definitely has a loud engine. I realized that its more horsepower than some of the other models so that may be why. The steering wheel and seats are not very comfortable but the car itself is very nice looking and has a lot of features. Very disappointed with the amount of noise. When we bought we were told the 4cylinder is as good as the 6 cylinder. Thats really not true and Im sure they have a lot more 4 cylinders to sell. The 6 is a lot quieter.

  • Good solid sedan - 2009 Honda Accord

I bought this car after a bad experience with a Hyundai. The Honda is head and shoulders above its Korean cousin. The Accords handling and road manners are impeccable. Interior is roomy and very ergonomic. The engine is very responsive and smooth for a 4 cyl. Gas mileage is pretty good (currently getting 23 city/ 30 highway). Road noise is higher than other sedans in this class but not horrible. I expect that when I eventually replace the OEM Dunlops that road noise and handling will both improve. Trunk is not huge but big enough. Appearance is of course very subjective but to me the car looks an awful lot like a 5 series BMW. Fit and finish is without equal in this class and for around 20K

This is our first Honda. The 2009 is fantastic. Love the leather; 4cyl is plenty of power, smooth, quiet. So much interior room its amazing. And the stereo in this car is like a private concert hall. Stunning. I cant wait to get back in the car every day!

  • MY FIRST HONDA!!!! - 2009 Honda Accord

I love my Honda accord V-6 with navi. Its a significant upgrade and my first. The acceleration and the power of the car is awesome. On the inside the navi among other features really makes long drives comfortable. Lastly, the gas mileage on the highway is pretty good too. I live in MD and went all the way to Boston on one tank! However, road noise is noticeable but easy to forget about and the drivers seat takes a while to get used to.

  • Major Brake Issues - 2009 Honda Accord
    By -

My fiance and I purchased an 09 EX 4 Cyl. without navigation in Sept. 2008. The car rides great and is fun to drive. The gas mileage is terrific. Honda has refused to address a major brake issue as of yet. We have already had to spend nearly $200 for new rear brake pads in 16 months. Brake pads should not wear out that quickly. Honda has had many complaints and the web is filled with comments on the issue. Lets hope Honda does the right thing.
