Model Overview:

Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.

You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

  • HAH After a Year - 2005 Honda Accord

I love this car! It provides performance without guilt. Great mileage is available and the car tells you how youre doing so that you can adjust your driving style for max. mileage. At the same time, real power and acceleration is available any time you need it. It is comfortable and responsive. I have owned it for almost a year and have encountered no manufacturing problems and have enjoyed every minute Ive spent driving it. I drive 20 miles each way to work every day, half town miles and half interstate miles and average 30 mpg on those trips. Overall average is consistently 26 to 27 mpg -- 25 per cent better than my 95 Accord Wagon (170,000 miles and still going!).

  • Honest opinion - 1998 Honda Accord

Overall a nice car. Value, style, driving experience are nice features. Gas mileage 19- 26 depending on tires and driving style. Throttle body sticks, transmission sometimes shifts poorly, alternator and pwr lock died at 72k.

  • Awesome Car - 2004 Honda Accord

I have owned a lot of cars from Chevy Tahoes too Pontiac Grand prix. This by far is the best car I have ever owned. The Safety ratings are exceptional. So, being a single mom with 3 small kids, I was sold at that. Its totally sleek design and great gas mileage(34 mpg) are just added bonuses. I have already put 25k on it from driving cross country, have had no mechanical problems. Very comfy too!

  • My first Honda.......very impressive - 2005 Honda Accord
    By -

I was surprised at the price of the vehicle for all the features it has. I thought for a car like this, I was going to pay $30K. Ive always heard about the quality of the car from my friends that own Hondas. I had to go out and buy one for myself to find out. Ive owned it for two weeks and I simply love the car. Driving it is so much fun. Its smooth on the road and quiet. Gas mileage is better than I expected. The interior is roomier than I expected. Overall, this car has exceeded my expectations. Its no wonder there are so many of them out on the road. The resale value is better than most cars out on the market.

  • Love the V6 engine + 6 speed manual - 2006 Honda Accord
    By -

This car strikes the perfect compromise (for me, at least) between sportiness and comfort. Handling is very good for this class, and the ride is smooth enough for long hours on the freeway (but, thankfully, not buicklike smooth :-). The combination of the quiet and powerfull V6 and the slick 6 speed stick shift make this car a joy to drive. The interior is very roomy front and back, and the build quality seems to be first rate.

  • None Better - 2002 Honda Accord
    By -

We bought the car with only 13k on it, so I cant say much about reliablity, but man is it fun to drive! It also gets looks everywhere I drive it, even though its stock. The leather seats are very comfortable. The only problem with the coupe is that if you are not careful youll beat your head on the roof getting in (ouch!). Other than that, I would buy another one in a minute.

  • Fun to Drive - 2006 Honda Accord
    By -

I do a combination of city and highway driving. The car is fun to drive and is quiet. I am disappointed with the gas mileage, however, it has improved slightly over in the nine months I have had it. Another disappointment is (and this may be my fault) that the windows somehow open after I park and leave the vehicle. This has happened twice and once the interior got wet because it rained. The Navigation system needs tweaking. When entering addresses and changing the city it reverts back to California cities, and sometimes it doesnt take the information I try to enter.

  • Buy it and modify it - 2003 Honda Accord
    By -

I have an aftermaket intake and exhaust system as well as many suspension items. I now get 32 MPG on the highway and 28 around town with over 240+ HP. I installed a carbon fiber hood and tinted the windows on the nighthawk black car and the appearance is incredible.

  • Trying to bond with my Hybrid Accord - 2005 Honda Accord
    By -

I own the Accord hybrid with navigation system because I have no sense of direction. There are a few turns left to be desired with the Navi, but thats not an auto flaw. This is a terrific car, but I have not yet bonded with it, 17 months later, and I dont know why. If I could figure out what other car Id prefer, Id sell this one and buy that one. I often forget to lock the car, not yet accustomed to the electic locks and key

  • Our First Honda - 2004 Honda Accord

I think well stick with Honda from now on. During our warranty period, we never had to take it back in for anything. After 2 years and 50,000 miles, the only thing weve had to do was change the oil!! We are addicted to the GPS NAV system. We are also now sold on XM Radio - we couldnt drive without it! We dont use the voice commands because there are so many to learn and the system is slow to respond. I can either speak to turn down the volume and wait 10 seconds, or I can just reach for the knob. The only downside I can think of is that the 2nd AC charger in the center console doesnt work. SMOKER BEWARE - there is no lighter or ashtray!
