Overview & Reviews
Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.
You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

My Third Accord and Probably Best So Far - 2004 Honda Accord
By ILoveAccords - February 6 - 12:18 pmI just traded in my 96 Honda Accord EX on a 04 Honda Accord LX, and so far I love it. This model feels more substansial than my last one. I have owned a 00, a 96, and now an 04. Out of all 3 models, this is probably the best one Ive had yet. I love the way it handles, the way it gives you a "command" view of the road. It sits a lot higher than my 96. I drive it to school and to work. But I plan on taking this one on a few trips to visit family. I love the center stack for the stereo and heating/ac controls. It really brings the car up into "luxury" model status. I also love the tilt, telescoping steering wheel. Havent had it long, but so far, no complaints.

My sixth Accord - 2002 Honda Accord
By Roger Millnitz - February 6 - 10:00 amThis is my sixth Accord. My experience with all of them has been very good, mainly because theyre predictable. I havent had any problems. This one, a V-6 EX with leather, is fun to drive and more comfortable than any Ive had to this point, and my lease rate is great. I could buy a more expensive car, but why? I love the quality, comfort and the styling.

Dissapointing gas mileage - 2009 Honda Accord
By Diane - February 4 - 6:53 pmThe 2009 Accord is our eighth Honda. I am very happy about the safety and reliability of these cars. This car has improvements on the 2006 model such as regular tires which gives a much smoother ride. They have included fog lights at no extra charge. However, the seats are very hard compared to the 06. Very disappointing gas mileage 17-19 mpg avg. Much worse than the 06 V6. Considering the new VCM technology it should be much better. It should not cut off the cylinders so often, it should be after you are cruising for a few minutes on the highway. And, you can feel it going back and forth.

Great Car - 2008 Honda Accord
By Phoenix Honda Lover - February 4 - 1:10 amHave approximately 500 miles so far. No problems. Handles great, good mileage, and wonderful ride. Stereo sounds is excellent. XM is a real plus. Dont particularly like the daytime running lights. Would like to turn them off. However understand they are a safety item. Center instrument panel hard to read in bright daylight Was looking at new Nissan Coupe also, but purchased Honda because of larger interior.

Rocky start, but good now - 2006 Honda Accord
By CrazyG - February 3 - 4:00 pmThe folks in marysville ohio forgot to torque the front suspension properly when building the car. It took the dealer a couple tries to fix this. Car drives great, acceleration is quick, first tank of gas yielded 34.5 mpg (engine is still breaking in). I am very pleased with fuel economy. Manual trans is the way to go. My wife has a 4cyl auto accord and the manual accelerates stronger. Handles and brakes well. Love the value of the se model. Well balanced car in terms of acceleration/mpg. Highly recommend replacing rear speakers with boston acoustics from crutchfield.

Goodbye trusty friend - 1991 Honda Accord
By darren - February 3 - 11:19 amI loved this car. Purchased used w/140k on it 6 years ago. Sold it this week, with 225k. The interior STILL LOOKS NEW. The ride was like a cruise-missle-on-rails. Handling would put most sports cars to shame. Would go fast if you pushed it. Had to get used to the auto trannys whiplash shifting. Very versatile/useful for small family. Comfy on long hauls. Experienced 400-600$ in repairs annually, INCLUDING TIRES but that can be expected if you drive old cars. Did have to replace motor at 215k- suspected that damage due to faulty oil maintenance before I owned it finally caught up with it.Old engine consumed 2+qts between changes. Now needs less than 1qt. The car has gone on to its 4th happy owner.

Honda - 2017 Honda Accord
By MOLLYE Hearn - February 3 - 6:33 amIve driven Honda cars since 1987 last one purchased was in 2000 always reliable had the EXL and manual. The radio and road noise were both terrible but since it worked and was paid for kept driving it until 2017. Of course the first cars I looked at were Honda Accord and CRV. Both drove ok.it was just the quality didnt seem to be there even leather didnt look as good as in the old days. Tried to locate a civic hatchback to drive but none were available where I was shopping. CRV compared to Nissan Rogue seemed so light weight I backed off of it. One Honda dealership we drove over to it talked with the internet sales trying to get a price. He didnt get back with us until several weeks later after we had already purchased another car. Still didnt have a price only asked if we were interested. To me Honda has cheapened up the looks and feel some much after thirt years I had to choose another brand

BEST "Cost Per Mile" - 2004 Honda Accord
By Dalton - February 2 - 2:00 amJust took delivery of my new 04 Accord EX V6 w/ NAV. Ive done so much research here (thanks to everyone for your opinions and advise) and on other sites as well as auto mags, and I love the car. I sold my 01 Lexus IS300 and wound up with this great machine. Love the navigation system, voice activation, dual climate, heated seats and XM radio. Such a solid car. Comfortable, advanced, smart and CLEAN! Driving this car makes me proud. Can never get lost, get hungry, or go broke with it. Quiet interior, very roomy, large trunk, big muscles.

Not so happy anymore... - 2004 Honda Accord
By HHmmm... - February 2 - 2:00 amI bought this car in March 2003. When I first bought the car, I loved it. Loved the feel of luxury for only $28,000. After about a year of ownership, here are the things that now make me not such a happy camper anymore: harsh ride- no cushioning from the bumpy streets); poor quality speakers; poor build quality (had to change my windshield wiper due to a manufacturer defect, as well as the glovebox would not close properly, have to make sure that one pulls the parking brake up past the second click, otherwise ACCIDENT!- another story); TCS function is at best irritating when accelerating and it kicks in due to gravel on the road; poor handling during snow.
