Overview & Reviews
Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.
You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

Hard to do better - 1990 Honda Accord
By beyelie - March 1 - 2:29 amOriginal owner. The most reliable car ever owned. 249,000 after 18 years. The manual transmission makes it more fun to drive and squeezes the most out of its adequate power. Has original clutch. Fuel mileage superb average 30+.

6 Speed Coupe Makes for Lively Commute - 2005 Honda Accord
By MHK - February 28 - 4:03 pmBeen commuting in Hondas since 1989-- two Civics and one Accord, all 4- cylinder 5-speeds. All very reliable, intelligently designed, and peppy enough to pass (as long as you were already moving--and didnt have the AC on). The 6-speed coupe is a very large performance leap from the 4-cyl. Accord. A little low on torque (210 lbs.), 1st gear is something you want to punch and get out of; 2d gear, conversely, will knock your head back. Uphill acceleration is phenomenal (even with the AC on). Shifting is very smooth and intuitive. While this car loves RPMs in the 4-6k range, it is also very much at home in stop and go traffic. Love the fact that this 6- speed takes REGULAR gas. 16k and no probs.

Great car - 2008 Honda Accord
By Mike Fucito - February 26 - 2:16 amI have been driving my new Polished Metal Metallic 2008 V6 EXL with Navi and Bluetooth. It all works great. The car looks great and handles really well. The VCM technology seems flawless. Everything is extremely well engineered and designed from the interior to the exterior to the engine compartment, etc. Nothing has been overlooked. Nobody builds cars, suspensions or engines like Honda. I think the controls for the navi, HVAC, awesome sounding radio, etc. are well thought out and intuitive - I do not agree with the criticism.

My 99 Accord EX - The car that wont quit! - 1999 Honda Accord
By Tom C - February 25 - 11:26 pmI purchased my 99 Accord EX sedan 3 years ago for a second car. It had about 140k miles on it, and I figured I would keep it a couple of years to get me through a new job, etc. Well it now has 192k miles on it and runs and drives as good as the day I took it home! I have had the timing belt replaced, and installed new front struts. Other than that it has been simple oil changes and no worries. What a great car! It handles and rides beautifully, is comfortable and great on gas too. For the small amount I paid for my Accord I feel like I stole it. I dont even have the desire to get a newer car - that is how much I love my Accord!

100% Improvement over previous years - 2003 Honda Accord
By new honda guy - February 25 - 2:00 amHonda has really outdone themselves. There is more standard features like, keyless entry, abs brakes. The new transmission is so smooth, the older models very rough. All my friends love it, and it was very affordable.
