Overview & Reviews
Honda takes a bold leap for 2005 with the introduction of the Hybrid Accord. Rather than add a hybrid motor to its four-cylinder, Honda bolts its third-generation IMA system to the Accord's already-potent V6. In one fell swoop the Accord hybrid has become the class leader in fuel economy (30 city, 38 highway) and power (255 horsepower). Other changes for the 2005 Honda Accord this year include new wheel cover designs for the LX and EX trims, a new coin pocket design, illuminated steering wheel controls and improved rear styling in sedans with redesigned taillamps. In addition, front-seat side airbags and full-length head curtain airbags are now available on all trim levels all the way down to the base DX model.

- Roomy and stylish interior, tight build quality, smooth ride, powerful and efficient hybrid model, good crash test scores.
- Tepid handling, brakes should be more powerful.

New to Hondas - 2005 Honda Accord
By Bill - December 27 - 5:06 pmIve had my Honda for about 2 weeks now and its great. Nice smooth ride and tons of standard features. I originally looked at Acuras and got most of the same stuff for a better price with the Honda. The interior is comfortable and there is plenty of room in the back seat for an adult. Oddly, the fact that it is so quiet and smooth has one drawback...in the 5 speed its hard to hear the engine revs with the radio on so you better watch the tach!

Best Accord Yet - 2005 Honda Accord
By RBH - December 12 - 12:56 amWe went back to a Honda Accord after a few other makes (and one Civic SI) since our 97 Accord. This model is light-years ahead of our last Accord. Very smooth fast acceleration, quite ride. Great highway car. XM radio is terrific and the sound system is good. Would like to have memory seats. The tires need upgrading. Otherwise one terrific automobile.

Honda Owner Since 1995 - 2005 Honda Accord
By Joe Spradley - December 11 - 3:56 pmI have owned 4 Hondas and have enjoyed everyone of them. I currently have a new body style Accord EX-L and a 1992 LX with over 130,000 miles on it. Everything still works and nothing is falling apart. For the money and value you can not get a better car.

Just Love the V6 - 2005 Honda Accord
By Chris - October 5 - 7:40 pmAlthough just had the car for 2 weeks, I am very impressed with the quality comforts and handling for the price. Just traded a 2003 Camry which I loved and although the Camry was more quiet and provided a smoother ride, the interior comforts, handling and extras of the Accord definately make up for it. I Definately recomend it.

I like it... - 2005 Honda Accord
By Ree - September 15 - 7:50 amI just purchased my second Honda Accord. The first was a 1997 LX sedan, the second was this 2005 EX coupe. The style is great -- very sporty, with all the features of an Acura TL, but with a much lower price tag. This car is sleek, and gets much attention as Im driving. Its easy to handle and has great acceleration. Im glad I chose to stick with the Honda Accord.

Love pushing that pedal - 2005 Honda Accord
By jsflan - September 4 - 1:33 amOnly had it two weeks, but this car is much more than my 2001 Accord 4 cyl. trade-in. 240 HP v. 135 HP for starters, and that increases the driving fun exponentially. In my advancing middle age, Im also lovin all the bells and whistles, esp. the XM...but the biggest thrill now is the acceleration, handling and steering. Very fun to drive, at least for one used to a 4 door, 4 banger for the last 4 years.

By anna dickson - August 24 - 1:26 pmI have previously owned Toyota, Chevy, Infiniti, and Nissan, this Honda Accord is simply the best! I love driving it, I have the leather seats and all the bells and whistles. It handles great in snow. Lots of safety features too.

Most practical sport coupe! - 2005 Honda Accord
By Brian P. - August 13 - 10:16 amI am amazed with the practicality of the Accord! It has the best of both worlds: It is definitely fast, handles very well, and has a tight ride; on the other hand, it has ample back seat room, a cavernous trunk, and features normally found on more luxury models. I was originally looking at the Infiniti G35 but decided the extra ponies wasnt worth having back seat passengers hit their heads on the back windshield. The Accord is almost as fast while offering a lot more comfort. You really cant go wrong with this car!
