Model Overview:

Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.

You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

I bought Honda EXR 5 years back.It already had over 200,000 KM on it.I drove it a lot and now it has over 400,000 km.Never had any major mechanical problem, except regular maintenance.I love to drive it. Still having good gas mileage. Only problem it has "RUST." Due to rust, I guess I have to replace it.

  • Poor Build Quality 2009 - 2009 Honda Accord

Brakes squeak from day one, transmission makes shredding, tearing noises when putting in reverse and then drive, headrest forces your head forward, when full gas tank sounds like a swimming pool sloshing around and already had a safety recall for poor build quality with "noises" coming from the back of the car. Road noise is horrible on certain roads. You still want to risk buying this car?? My last Honda ever!

What an amazing auto! The V6 doesnt hold back, and the 6-speed manual transmission is so much fun! Gas mileage is exceptional for such a poweful car, and Vehicle Stability Assist really helps when taking those corners a little faster than you probably should. The Nav system adds a lot more fun, and is amazingly accurate and helpful. Forget BMW, Hondas got this one!

  • An Absolute Champion - 1994 Honda Accord

I love this car. First off, my history with it is important. It got me through high school and college, as well as six years delivering pizzas during that time. I treated my car about as bad as one could within reason. I was late with my maintenance, drove only 3 miles to school every day in Minnesota weather, and delivered pizzas, which is about as stop/go as it gets. It now has 220,000 on it and has barely had anything wrong with it. Given how poorly Ive treated it, its a wonder its made it this far. I dont think I could get rid of it unless it started giving me persistent problems or something really expensive occurred. It still runs great though, so who knows how long itll be.

This is an economical car! Very reliable. Costs for repairs is expensive suspension and steering was damaged prior to purchasing, costing over $2,500 in repairs if not more. Over all a wonderful, money saving car. Will never get rid of it. Its my 3rd Honda!

  • my 6th honda vehicle - 2006 Honda Accord

I live in Toronto and purchased this car through a broker who bought it from the US, incl his 1500 fee i believe i saved about 2500 once. There are couple of things that the American cars dont have that I miss (this is my 4th Accord) the windshield washer reservoir is much smaller and it has no low level light is the big one. Also, i cant get over how much more power this 4cy has over the 99 but it is using about 35% more gas for a similar trip (Im getting 350 miles per tank) vs 650-700k for my 99 with 300,000k on and had only one tune up. This one is a 5spd auto, tons of power off the line and at 130k. Very well screwed together, feels solid, no rattles, good value.

i just purchased my accord ex v6 with the nav system option, and i must say i am greatly satisfied. i owned a 2000 bmw 740il for about 4 months and all i had was pain. this honda is perfect however. my honda is a beautiful white with the tan leather interior which keeps heat low inside. the ride is great even with the 17inch tires. the 3liter v6 got 30.4 MPG on the interstate going 70. the 740 struggled for 20. not to be just like everyone else, but this honda is great so i recommend it to anyone who wants a 4door, a v6, or a great nav system.

Luxury at an affordable price. Honda has done a great job on this and has nicely packaged the options so you dont need to go in for anything extra. Great drive, interiors, dont settle for V4. We love this car.2nd Honda accord for us much better than the older verison.

  • Boringly Perfect Car - 1995 Honda Accord

I bought this car new 13 years ago this month. It has 164,000 miles on it, and like so many other Accord owners I can say its never had a major mechanical problem. It also gets very good gas mileage. The only real complaint I have is that its so reliable that it makes it hard to justify getting another car! After 13 years its acquiring a lot of cosmetic damage, but mechanically its still seems to be in perfect shape, and since Im only driving about 7000 miles a year right now I could probably keep it for another decade easily. Its hard to believe there could be a better car for anyone who ranks reliability and low maintenance at the top of what theyre looking for in a car.
