Overview & Reviews
Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.
You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

Got what I paid for! - 2009 Honda Accord
By BigV - April 6 - 9:06 pmYes, there is some road noise, however the suspension is firm to enhance the handling which is sporty. I actually like the firm ride and road feel which offers strong cornering and good tracking. I paid $23,300.00 for EX-L version with the 4 cylinder and Im extremely happy with the purchase. The interior is very roomy and offers good comfort. The Accord has a unique design that offers a sporty European look. I decided to go with the 4 cylinder for the fuel economy and sufficient 190 HP on a FWD. I compared to BMW 3 series and Lexus compact and decided to keep the $7,000 difference in my pocket. You can get more car but youll have to pay extra for it!

2008 Honda Accord Coupe Black Beauty - 2008 Honda Accord
By Joe Mondello - April 6 - 9:00 pmThis car is just plain "Awesome." I traded a 2003 G35 Coupe for this vehicle. I had some reservations about unloading my dream car, but it was well worth the trade. With the voice activated navigational system makes it even more of a luxury car than a sport vehicle. The handling, horsepower and smooth lines inside make it a dream to drive. Not a bad vehicle after all and we worth the investment. This vehicle turns head when driving down the highway and I am proud to be behind the wheel. Great Car!

1999 Honda Accord EX- Do not buy - 1999 Honda Accord
By Paul - April 5 - 4:11 pmI recently purchased a 1999 Honda Accord EX under the belief that Hondas were reliable. The car has 83K miles and the transmission slips and oil is leaking into the coolant. I will probably have to replace the engine and transmission. I have contacted Honda who are unwilling to help out. This is my third and last Honda. I mention this issue to others so they do not go through a similar experience.

Not worth the hype - 2005 Honda Accord
By t60 - April 4 - 3:07 pmI purchased my Honda Accord because I know Honda has a good name, but I am disappointed with the overall performance. Perhaps I should have gotten a V6, because you have to "gun" the car to get it to go and the tachometer is well over 2,000 rpms even at lower speeds, like 50 mph. The Camry is probably a better choice, provides a much smoother ride and better acceleration.

Best car ever! - 1991 Honda Accord
By bigsquat - April 4 - 3:05 pmWe bought this car new in 91 and just yesterday bought a new car to replace it. This is by far the best car weve ever owned and has been a reliability champ. Rust through in the rear fenders due to climate and winter driving are the only issues weve had over 17 years owning it. Honda is best car manufacturer in terms of reliability and quality, hands down. We just bought a new Pilot yesterday and I would be shocked if we dont get the same quality and reliability out of it as this Accord. Were donating it to charity since it still runs perfectly and still has years to go. Unfortunately, trade-in value is negligible at this point, so better to give it to a needy soul than a dealer!

A dream with two flaws - 1999 Honda Accord
By Ace Trumper - April 3 - 10:00 amI like my 1999 Honda Accord EXVS better than any other I ever owned or even rented or borrowed. I wish it got better mileage, but 28 isnt bad for a V6 with this performance. The only real flaw is that it is possible for my wide foot to depress the brake pedal so far that it also pushes the gas pedal. This caused a minor accident that might have been serious. The dealer says the pedal are normal, and act like its my fault, but this should not happen in a properly designed car.

ENGINE LIGHT - 2003 Honda Accord
By aj3 - April 3 - 10:00 amThe car performs very well. Its entertaining to drive, gets 31.5MPG, and handles better than the tires allow it to. I have only one concern. The check engine light keeps coming on. The dealership and Honda keep telling me they are working on a fix but dont have the solution yet. The dealership has been very honest and up front so I dont feel Im being shuffled away, its just Honda doesnt have a fix yet.The problem centers around the catalitic converter, which the dealer replaced once already, so Honda appearently has an emissions issue making things difficult. Like the car, but better get it fixed or I will require them to replace it.

Fun to Drive - 2003 Honda Accord
By drobert007 - April 3 - 10:00 amThe 6 speed manual flies. Suspension is tight and so is first gear. Prepare to get a speeding ticket after you get behind the wheel. Youll find yourself goning the long way to work just because its so fun to drive.
