This Year's Model Updates:

As the model was fully redesigned for the 2003 model year, there are only a few changes on the 2004 Honda Accord. Availability of side curtain airbags has been expanded this year to four-cylinder EX models -- standard on those with leather, optional on cars with a cloth interior. All four- and six-cylinder EX models equipped with a leather interior now have XM Satellite Radio with three months of free service as standard equipment. And as with all Honda cars this year, a new seatbelt reminder system is standard. Accord models meeting California's stringent Partial Zero Emissions Vehicle (PZEV) standards -- all four-cylinder sedans equipped with automatic transmission -- will also be sold in the states of New York, Maine, Vermont and Massachusetts.

Pros:
  • Tight build quality, quiet cabin, refined and powerful engines, reputation for quality and durability, high crash test scores.

  • Best Car Ever Owned! - 2004 Honda Accord

This is without a doubt the best car I have ever owned. It is so unbelievably quiet you can hear yourself whisper at 45 mph. The engine alone (V6) was worth it. It is very powerful and I have averaged about 24 mpg combined so far. Unbelievable car.

This car is so smooth to drive. It has tons of room inside to easily fit 4 people. The XM radio is so clear. The V6 really moves and the steering is tight. I really enjoy getting into this car everyday :O) They have great lease rates.

My new Honda like the 3 other Hondas I have owned has been very reliable. The car is well designed and is fun to drive.

  • My Third Accord and Probably Best So Far - 2004 Honda Accord

I just traded in my 96 Honda Accord EX on a 04 Honda Accord LX, and so far I love it. This model feels more substansial than my last one. I have owned a 00, a 96, and now an 04. Out of all 3 models, this is probably the best one Ive had yet. I love the way it handles, the way it gives you a "command" view of the road. It sits a lot higher than my 96. I drive it to school and to work. But I plan on taking this one on a few trips to visit family. I love the center stack for the stereo and heating/ac controls. It really brings the car up into "luxury" model status. I also love the tilt, telescoping steering wheel. Havent had it long, but so far, no complaints.

I am so thrilled with my latest Honda purchase. (have owned 5 over the past 18 years) I considered a Lexus ES330 and an Infiniti G35 but after test driving couldnt justify the price difference. My car has all the bells and whistles and is exceptional for daily commutes and running about town. Honda just keeps getting better and better at understanding what consumers want. If you want reliable, responsive, user friendly transportation look no further that the Accord!! Buy one NOW, you wont regret it.

The honda is a very reliable automobile and has an excellent safety record. It handles very nicely also. I would definitely recommend this car.

  • Not so happy anymore... - 2004 Honda Accord

I bought this car in March 2003. When I first bought the car, I loved it. Loved the feel of luxury for only $28,000. After about a year of ownership, here are the things that now make me not such a happy camper anymore: harsh ride- no cushioning from the bumpy streets); poor quality speakers; poor build quality (had to change my windshield wiper due to a manufacturer defect, as well as the glovebox would not close properly, have to make sure that one pulls the parking brake up past the second click, otherwise ACCIDENT!- another story); TCS function is at best irritating when accelerating and it kicks in due to gravel on the road; poor handling during snow.

Just took delivery of my new 04 Accord EX V6 w/ NAV. Ive done so much research here (thanks to everyone for your opinions and advise) and on other sites as well as auto mags, and I love the car. I sold my 01 Lexus IS300 and wound up with this great machine. Love the navigation system, voice activation, dual climate, heated seats and XM radio. Such a solid car. Comfortable, advanced, smart and CLEAN! Driving this car makes me proud. Can never get lost, get hungry, or go broke with it. Quiet interior, very roomy, large trunk, big muscles.
