Overview & Reviews
Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.
You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

Good looking - 2017 Honda Accord
By Andrea K Brandt - May 18 - 5:22 amWe are Honda owners who like the reliability and long life of our previous Honda autos. We have not had this Honda long enough to rate many of the above catagories. So far we are happy with our purchase. The front seats are a little low for a shorter person and somewhat difficult for entering and exiting.

VERY surprised and disappointed - 2003 Honda Accord
By Andrew - May 18 - 2:50 amIt started on the day of purchase. I noticed grit under the paint on the hood - more like small pebbles. Reluctantly, the dealer re-painted the hood. Then, the left rear wheel sensor went out. Then - a rattle developed in the trunk area. After multiple visits, still a rattle. It sounds like a mid-70s Chevy hatchback - the rattle is that bad. Each time the daler says - "fixed it." Each time they lied. The rear windows rattle when cracked. The center console rattled for awhile. The drivers window area squeaked for awhile. The steering wheel is off center - meaning when the wheels are in perfect alignment, the steering wheel is not. The black leather is turning white, etc., etc.

First Hybrid - 2006 Honda Accord
By mikec - May 17 - 10:37 pmWhat a great ride! I have been driving a Mini Van for several years and due to the age of my children I no longer need a vehicle this large. I went with this vehicle due to MPG and performance. I bought this car used with 31,000 miles at 20% below Kelley Blue Book. The vehicle is very quiet, love the leather as well as the interior. The performance of a V6 with the MPG of a 4 cylinder. Despite the reviews for the Hybrid Accord I love this vehicle.

Best car in the segment - 2007 Honda Accord
By John - May 17 - 10:33 pmThis is the best car available in this market segment at this cost, by far. Ive had 3 Hondas now, an 02 Odyssey (still own), 05 Accord LXV6 and this 07 EXL. All have been totally reliable, never an unscheduled visit to the dealer. Accords are no BMWs, but do provide a good compromise of performance, price and comfort. The 4cyl (I4) engine has good performance for everyday driving. I rarely miss the power of the 240 bhp LXV6, not as much as I first thought. I switched to the I4 for 3 reasons, EX for LX-V6 price, daughter learning to drive (V6 too powerful), fuel economy. I averaged 26 mpg from the V6 and only average 27.5 from the I4 so far (5k miles), I was hoping for 30 mpg.

Totaled 2008 Honda Accord, replaced w/same - 2008 Honda Accord
By GMF - May 17 - 4:21 pmI purchased my first 2008 Honda Accord on 11/20/2012 with 75,246 miles on it all told for $12,379 On 10/19/17 I was rear ended by a GMC Sierra Pickup truck doing about 40 mph !! I was also pushed into the Honda Ridgeline in front of me causing extensive front end damage (airbags did not deploy and I had all 3 recalls on them fixed ??). However, I really liked this Model and thinking that I wouldnt get much from the other drivers insurance company so I searched for used 2008 Honda Accord to replace it. I found one close by and found that it was the Fully loaded version of my previous car. I received a check from insurance to replace the car for $10,035 .. I was amazed !! I purchased the used fully loaded version with 144,500 miles for $9,500 (Totaled car had 182,000 miles). Im happily driving my new / used 2008 Honda Accord EX-L with all the extras and less mileage. When I researched the value on Kelly Blue book and Edmunds the replacement value showed on $5000 in excellent shape ??

Bought Naples Gold when I saw it! - 2001 Honda Accord
By Too Tall to drive - May 17 - 10:00 amYes, this car looks good (no spoiler but added window tint)! At510", my drivers seat is not comfortable beyond 30 min. Lumbar support is too low and I often readjust due to "slippage" on the firm leather. I sat in my sisters new Avalon this year, and realize I desire a smoother "Boat Ride" vs the EX.

Not a BMW... - 2006 Honda Accord
By jack1610 - May 16 - 11:39 amInitial mpg 22/27 calculated by driving and topping off frequently. My wife did a little better @ 24/28. She just broke 20k and now we get 25/36. There are times when we get a real bad number (quite possibly from gas station pump error). The city mileage is about the same as a regular 6-cyl. Hwy fluctuates from (minus bad readings under 21 mpg!!!) 27-37.5. The more "broken-in" the better it seems at the moment. I am really curious about the rest of folks with this car. Are you all getting better results as the vehicle gets older? One small neg is the "jerk" when you step off the brake and touch the gas petal. The work around is let the brake go, wait 2 sec then touch the gas.

There Are Better Cars Out There - 2005 Honda Accord
By Nick - May 14 - 2:26 pmI bought this car last year for my wife after she was in an accident in her Honda Civic. I knew she loves Hondas and Honda has a reputation of having safe, reliable, fuel efficient, and fun- to-drive vehicles. So, we purchased a fully-loaded v6 and regrettably, I wished I went with my first instinct and got something else. This car has been in the shop so far 4 times and now the check engine light comes on. I have not been impressed with the mpg either. Avg city/highway is 20 mpg. There are plenty of better vehicles out there so dont waste your money on this one. If you have low back problems, this car will hurt your back on long trips. Very uncomfortable.

Great Car and Speedy - 2004 Honda Accord
By wes - May 14 - 12:22 pmI purchased the V6 Coupe b/c I needed a car that was comfortable, fast, and reliable. It also has Nav which I love (I drive a lot b/c of job). The Nav is very easy to use and I like the touch screen for all other controls e.g. AC, Audio, Nav, Trip computer etc. The car drives well, corners ok, but it has a lot of pep in it. 0-60 just under 7sec, stock. Leather could be better, drivers side bolster is showing wear, but its covered under extended warranty so I will be getting it replaced. Service not expensive, tires not bad, less than $100 each. Console does not click closed properly, started after 16 months.
