Overview & Reviews
Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.
You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

Great Car I love it - 2000 Honda Accord
By BASwanson - May 27 - 2:00 amI had a 94 Honda Civic, with 200k miles. never burned a drop of oil, never failed to start never had to put anything into except fluids, belts, hoses, pads, etc... I rolled it at 80mph 3 times throught the median and came to rest on the hood of car in the oncoming lane. I kicked the glass out, dusted the glass off and walked away. I swore I would only own Honda after that. I bought a 00 Accord and I love it. terribly safe, comfortable and with the V-6, a lot of fun to drive. If you dont have one, get one. They keep their re-sale, run great and never in the shop. Consumer Reports, Car and Driver, everybody love em. LOOK AT THE 03.

Overall Good Buy - 2008 Honda Accord
By Brandon - May 26 - 2:53 amDriven about 2500 miles so far. Very Stable on the highway. Really have to step on it in the city, as it is a heavy car. It feels safe though. Handling is not as quick as you would want it due to its weight. Mileage is decent around 24-27. I enjoy driving it everyday. Few problems the inside door handle holder is loose. It pops out when you pull the door handle. Also if you have the dealer installed tire pressure tire valve caps, take them off as some of them were leaking air from the tires and this car already has tire pressure monitoring so you dont need it. I wish the lower gears would change faster and not rev so much all the time. I also wish they had heated mirrors with LX-S.

Feel like driving offroad - 2005 Honda Accord
By Al - May 25 - 9:03 pmFrom experience, brakes with tranny and ABS on this car make something hard to control. For example, when I drive at 60 mph and need to slow down to 20 mph fast, I press brakes moderately and feel tranny first gear down and RPMs go up, then it suddently drop the RPMs and feel like stalling out for a fraction of a sec, becoming really shaky, while gas pedal feel solid and hard to move. Then I press the gas pedal slowly for 1 sec, the tranny switches the gear up very rough, and after I release it, gets even worse, creating a clattery vibration in the cockpit. It seems that tranny confused which way to shift, and keep on clattering back and forth until I go faster.

Tough customer - 2004 Honda Accord
By Roger - May 25 - 6:40 amHas the 5 speed automatic, which I could find on no other 2004 4-cylinder car. Im 6 4" and fit pretty well, find the seat comfortable and driver position good. A requirement was that I fit in the back seat, which I do, with no headroom problems (Camry failed this test). Handling is good with sport suspension and tires--twisty roads are fun. Brakes have great feel but are a tad weak, the antilock brake system works well. Engine is smooth and has zing. Tranny is uncanny, as is the cruise control. Interior is stylish and practical, heating and a/c work fine. A slight buzz developed after a bad Spokane pothole. Exterior is good- looking, somewhat stubby rear end--if you like gaudy, get a Pontiac.

First 4-Door - 2005 Honda Accord
By darkridrDE - May 24 - 8:23 pmTook possession of my new Accord on Christmas Eve. I wanted a change from my unreliable VW 2door. I had been very impressed with the navigation and sound system in a friends TL and realized I could have almost all the same features at a much lower price in the Accord. It has a powerful V6, with decent mileage to boot. Plenty big enough cabin/trunk space and just about every feature I could ask for in a car. This particular model must not be too popular, as the dealer had a hard time tracking down an EX-V6 with Navi. Foglights and rear lip spoiler added just the right touch.

09 Accord - 2009 Honda Accord
By Dere - May 23 - 8:23 amI initially had every intention of buying an 09 Civic. I test drove the Accord and fell in love with it. For three thousand more than the Civic it is a no brainer. I love it.
