Model Overview:

Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.

You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

  • Great Car - 2005 Honda Accord

Was very impressed with the power for the 240hp engine and the ride is Honda. Gas mileage is good and after owning a 330 Beamer this car is alomost as good. FWD has some steering torque but nav system is great.

After test driving many cars I couldnt get over the solid feel of the Accord, I was very impressed with the smooth powerful performance of the V-6, the choice of materials for the interior are top notch for anything in the price range.I only have 4k mile so far but have been very pleased. The dealer treated me very well,I went in with some fair numbers and there was no usual games.

This is my first ever Honda and I have to say that so far I have NO regrets. I have always owned a Toyota and although I love Toyota, I love Honda as well! I bought this Accord with 38,000 miles on it and it rides like a dream. I love the 6 disc CD changer and the the control features in the middle are easily accessible, which was a problem in my Camry, I had to reach farther to change my radio stations. I also love the controls on the steering wheel! Awesome!! Very comfortable ride. Hugs the road. Ive gotten tons of compliments on my Accord and most importantly my kids love it, too!!

  • Dont Believe the Hype! - 1999 Honda Accord
    By -

I purchased my 2nd accord over 3 years ago with 90k miles on it. My first 92 accord had nearly 200k and the only problem was w/ the cruise control and a rough transmission. My 99 has a faulty transmission thats slipping as well, the lights in my dash dim periodically, cruise control doesnt work AT ALL, the auto locks in my rear doors are now manual, I need new ball joints, i had to purchase an extended warranty for my battery b/c it continuously dies. I must admit that as I am approaching 175k, that car still starts without a glitch, but the "quality" that Honda is expected to have mastered is only hype. This is the 4th Honda my family has had, and the 4th one with transmission issues.

  • Good car--outstanding MPG - 2013 Honda Accord
    By -

Ive owned an Accord from each of the last 3 generations, with some other makes mixed in. This car seems to address any of the "misses" from the previous generation. If you are a car person, the CVT takes some getting used to, but Honda has executed it well and it does its job. On my very first tank of gas, with mixed 2 lane and freeway driving, I got 37 mpg! Acceleration is very good, comparing with some 6 cylinders and surpassing most of the 4 cylinder turbos. Quality seems to be solid. Audio is nothing special, but is adequate. I am adding the wheels from the Sport model to my car for looks and handling, but most will be satisfied with the wheel/tire combo that Honda uses.

  • Bye Acura! - 2005 Honda Accord
    By -

Ive always been a big fan of Acura tls but since U.S. economy sucks lately, I had to downgrade (or so I thought). I bought an 05 Accord ex with everything, from tire pressure sensors, to heated seats, XM and navi. Features that I never had on my 2000 rl. Gas mileage is great, handing is awesome. Styling is just as good as Acuras. Speed is ok, but for the price? You just cant beat it! Oh did I mention 100k warranty? From burnt light bulb to blown engine, they cover it at no cost. Buy one!

  • Overall Value - 2009 Honda Accord
    By -

I have had my Accord for almost 2 months now, with about 3500 miles on it. Overall, this is a well designed and well built vehicle. The V-6 is smooth and powerful when needed. The Accord is an excellent mating of power, comfort, handling and solid road feel. It does everything well for a family sedan. I really like the interior and while it suffers from too many buttons, the layout is intuitive. I am a bit disappointed by the poor sound insulation and the stereo is mediocre, the heated seats dont really work that well.

  • LOVE my Honda - 2009 Honda Accord

I have read some of these other negative reviews about the new redesigned Honda and cant disagree more with them. The ride is much better than the other Accords we have owned (this is our fourth). The seats feel great and are made of the type of quality that I have come to expect from a Honda. We looked at other models but realized for the price and value this was the best choice.
