Overview & Reviews
Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.
You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

Great! (if you ignore the wheels) - 2002 Honda Accord
By AccordSociety Newbie - June 2 - 2:00 amIn March 2002, I picked up my 02 EX coupe with the I4 engine and M/T (in Eternal Blue). Its a blast to drive. It looks GREAT. Its comfy and sporty and just a little bit different than the other choices out there. I tested both the Dodge Stratus R/T and Toyota Solara coupes. The drivers compartments were unbelieveably cramped ...but I fit perfectly in the Honda. Its not the fastest thing off the line, but on the open roads itll hold its own.

Sweet car - 2003 Honda Accord
By mike n. - June 1 - 9:53 pmThe reliability of these cars cant be touched. Why buy American? The last Dodge I owned was a mud motor! I also owned an Oldsmobile, what a joke! Ive had my Honda over 2 years and no problems. Brakes and battery yes, but normal on any car. I also owned a Nissan maxima for over 10 years! Only normal wear and tear. Although I must say Chevy trucks are the best! Fords have horrible trannys! If not for Chevy I would only buy Honda or Nissan. I hope this info will help you when shop around.

My first Accord - 2006 Honda Accord
By Big Daddy "54" - June 1 - 1:40 pmShopped around looking at Accord, Camry, Mazda 6. Hands down, the best overall value with standard safety features. Ive only had it for 3 weeks now. Plenty of pep in the 4 cyl. First round trip of 520 miles, mostly freeway, I averaged 38+ mpg w/5 speed manual (but Im a conservative driver). Handling is responsive but the ride is a little stiff. Plenty of leg and head room and ample room in back seat for 2 passengers.

Each day I enjoy driving it more - 2010 Honda Accord
By skip - June 1 - 5:50 amMy small wife did not like the seats at first but I felt that they are very good, not great, should provide more cushion/support. The steering and suspension provide great feedback and is much better than found in the competition. It is still new for me but each day I enjoy driving it more.

Still loving it - 1990 Honda Accord
By kimmo - May 31 - 2:27 pmI bought new as a demo. Even after 18 years with it being stolen twice, almost totaled once and with two other accidents, this car is super dependable. The exterior, interior, and engine have all held up well with regular maintenance. New radiator, three batteries, two brake jobs, a couple of power steering repairs from leaks, CVs, a new gas tank (service stripped plug!) plus maintenance is about all this car has cost me. I cant justify anything newer as this one keeps going & going and she still looks awesome! I use my AAA for my friends newer car troubles. I cant believe I get offers from others now to buy my car. I think it has turned into a classic.

Fun & Practical - 2006 Honda Accord
By Art - May 31 - 12:10 amThis car is great since I was looking for a 4-door,6 cyl., w/manual trans. The car is solid and has the necessary power when needed (its so smooth that its very easy to speed). The dash layout is simple and you also get a sunroof, seat warmers, and XM radio! There is just s slight bit of road noise at higher speeds. Youll be very surprise with the amount of leg room for the back seat passengers and also the amount of space in the trunk. The only item that I need to get use to is the very short distance to shift gears (Im use to a much longer shift). It took about 10 weeks for my car to arrive Speacial order to get the Sapphire Blue - 6 speed).

Good Car but expensive repairs - 1997 Honda Accord
By Dockter - May 30 - 6:17 pmI purchased this car in 2000 with 74,000 miles. I now have 187,000 miles on it and Ive never had a problem with the engine. My complaints are slow rolling windows, suspension has been replaced twice, A/C doesnt work even when it was working and now that its 11 yrs old the radiator, engine mount and cam seal for timing belt and power steering are all leaking or broken and need to be repaired to the tune of $2,000.00. I just put in $1500 in new locks, actuators, tires and suspension. Its not worth it to me to pay that much since I will only get around $3,000.00 for the car...maybe less. So time for a new one. Im bummed because the engine rocked and it was a comfy ride.

Loyal Accord LX - 2005 Honda Accord
By Mandy - May 30 - 3:24 pmI love my car, I purchased it in 1/07 certified. The only problem I have had is with the power steering pump. Being certified Tempe Honda has taken care of all concerns. I love the size and trunk space. I am not a fan of the style.
