Model Overview:

Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.

You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

Finally got out of 1996 VW Jetta GL. I have been more than patient! Read all reviews on Accord EX-V6 I could find to make sure I was not buying another disaster. Everyone seemed to agree you cant go wrong with Honda. Initially wanted the LX-V6. Bought the EX trim level so I could get side curtain airbags. Safety was on top of my list. This car has more bells and whistles than I initially wanted. Had to shop around, as first dealership would not give anything for trade-in, and wanted MSRP for the car. I was initially looking at silver, but did not want the black interior. Got the green with tan inside.

I had a 2003 Honda Accord EX, but for the deal I got, it was worth it to tradeup. I am very happy with the Hybrid. While I just got it, milage is still better than previous Honda. It should improve substantially as I increase its use.

  • Very Proud Owner - 2005 Honda Accord

I was surprised with the amount of car I received with my Accord. Power heated Leather Seats, power windows, power locks, remote transmitter in key, 6 disc player, moonroof, 6 air bags, great stock sound system,2.4L engine w/ great gas mileage 26 city/34 hwy. It is a very smooth ride for the most part, except on the interstate where road noise is present. The car comes with ABS, but needs bigger brakes. Another surprising feature is how much room there is in the backseat, 3 adults fit easily in the back. A lot of storage compartments throughout the car. Also 6 cup holders for a 5 person coupe, Pretty cool! All in all I am very impressed with this car and will buy Honda in the future!

Very nicely equipped at a very reasonable price. Honda has been around for a long time and continues to produce a reliable, stylish auto.

This my first car in Canada since I just arrived here, for 2 months I am using it I really am impressed on its performance it doesnt give me any problem yet, but I can feel that it will go along way, just got a change oil, power steering fluid changed and wiper blades changed. Thanks Honda for making me feel that I did the right choice.

  • 1 of three I own, need I say more... - 1997 Honda Accord
    By -

I own three 97 Honda accords, two Lxs and My SE. My lowest mileage Lx has 135,00 and my highest 212,000. And they all run like new. Have had to do very little with any of them. They wear tires like a dream, usually a set lasts longer than manufacture rating. My tip for everyones weak motor widow troubles is to spray some lube on the window channels going vertically on each side, the problem is not the motor, it is binding friction on the glass sides itself. This will make the windows work like new.

  • Honda Redeems Itself - 2006 Honda Accord
    By -

Previous to this 2006 Honda Accord I owned a new 2000 Accord EX 4 cyl. for 6 years. After 5 transmissions and numerous other mechanical problems I was very anti Honda. I shopped around for months determined not to buy another Honda. I test drove everything in its class and I was not impressed with anything. I went to a Honda dealership and drove the 2006 Accord and fell in love with it. Ive had it 2 months now and my only complaints are that the exterior paint chips very easy and the car rolls a little when you go from park to drive. The gas mileage is not bad for a 6 cyl. I get about 300 miles for a tank of gas. Overall, I am very happy with this car and would recommend it.

  • 1998 EX V6 Accord 160,000 - 1998 Honda Accord
    By -

Purchased with in 01 at 52,000. Now 160,050. Broken/Replaced: alternator, EGR twice! Thats the only mechanical failure. Shifts hard around 2nd gear, but has always done that. All mechanics have said theres nothing wrong. At 10 yrs old, it impresses friends and mechanics by its maintained appearance. Has held paint real well. Change oil and filter myself every 3k/3 months. I purchased OE spoiler and fog lights. Could do without the spoiler, but the fog lights are great. Come in handy. Very $$ though. Engines still smooth and quiet. has driven between FL and Boston and all points between many times over years. Great travel car, from Key West to NC mountains to downtown Boston!

  • Dont buy a Honda Accord - 1997 Honda Accord
    By -

What a horrible, horrible car - in the shop, and on the side of the road wayyyy too many times. Ignition switch gone (replaced under recall after being stranded) electrical problems galore, power windows dont work, etc. Hondas are supposed to be reliable - well you cant prove it by me.
