Overview & Reviews
Freshened exterior styling debuts on the 2001 Honda Accord, with a more aggressive-looking front fascia and hood and a new taillight design. Honda also ups the safety features list, making dual-stage, dual-threshold front airbags standard and side airbags available on all models. All Accords now either meet or exceed California's low-emission vehicle (LEV) standards (some Accords meet ULEV standards, and one model sold in California is rated SULEV). Improvements aimed at reducing road and wind noise have been made, while EX models get a standard in-dash six-disc CD changer, and all V6 models come with traction control. Midyear, a DX four-banger equipped with a special value package debuted, adding an automatic transmission, air conditioning, a CD player, floor mats, fake wood interior accents and special exterior trim.
- Great build quality, spacious interior, peppy yet clean engines, comfortable seats, excellent resale value, reputation for bulletproof reliability.
- Everybody drives one, personality of Al Gore, taut highway ride.

comfort and reliability - 2001 Honda Accord
By Tricia - February 28 - 10:00 amI use my car for outside sales and spend roughly 5 hrs a day driving. My car offers me comfort and reliability. I like the fact that the blind spots are minimal it gives me a wide view of the road and everything around me. I enjoy the huge trunk, great for shopping and hauling things you wouldnt normally be able to fit in a trunk. I test drove several other makes comparable to the Accord and none of them could compare. The Accord has a tighter suspension and lets the driver feel in control.

FUN TO DRIVE, SPORTY, & RELIABLE - 2001 Honda Accord
By ksokie - February 4 - 10:00 amWe love our Accord coupe ("Heidi")!! The 2001 body style is sporty, yet elegant (especially in silver). Her V6 accelerates supremely when passing. She has a sliding/tilting sun roof that is great, as is the trunk room - very spacious for a car this size. The rear seating is tight for 3 older teenagers (triplets), but that didnt stop us from taking it on vacations and trips to see family out of state. When it comes down to it, what we like the most about Heidi is the sheer feeling of free-spiritedness that she gives us. At slightly over 100,000 miles, she still drives like a dream.

Love my Honda!! - 2001 Honda Accord
By MissMom - January 26 - 2:00 amAfter holding off from buying a Honda b/c of the price...We are so sorry we finally did. I doubt we will ever drive anything else...unless it is a mini-van. Wish we had gone the extra mile for the V-6. The 4 cylinder is quite "peppy" though.

Solid Vehicle - 2001 Honda Accord
By dkcooley - January 21 - 10:00 amWe have driven this vehicle for two years now with no problems. We follow the scheduled maintainence program with our dealership and have not found a complaint with them either. The front passanger side shock/strut was defective after 15000 miles which the dealership found during a routine maintainence appt. and fixed the problem under warranty. The dealership provides us with a rental vehicle at their cost during all maitainence appointments. We will definitely buy another Honda and most likely form the same dealership.
