Model Overview:

Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.

You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

  • Good car with a few faults - 2007 Honda Accord
    By -

I have had my 2007 Accord for almost 10 months now and have 23,000 Miles on it. I love the car, but it leaves more power to be desired in the low rpm. My g/fs 08 Civic seems more peppy and feels quicker in the low ranges. I do not abuse my car and have had all services done by a certified Honda dealer. Recently, I have had trouble with the brakes "Clunking" when applied at low speeds. I also hear a clunk sometimes when making low speed turns, but not in curves. Overall, I am very happy with the car. I average 34 mpg (more than double my truck.) This is a highway car even though most people will probably use it as a city car. If I had more city driving to do, I would buy the Civic.

  • First 100k Miles - 2001 Honda Accord
    By -

Just turned over 100k miles. Very reliable. Handles and rides very well. 5-speed is enjoyable to drive. Interior is well designed and efficient. No squeaks/rattles after being hammered by I-94 in SE Michigan on a daily basis.

  • My 3rd EX - 2004 Honda Accord
    By -

This is my third Honda Accord EX since 1991 and my second with the 6 cylinder engine. I went looking for a year end purchase of an EX with the 6cyl and Navigation. The navigation is a feature everyone should consider if they do any traveling or city driving. In city driving the voice command of radio and climate control is a very nice benefit. It allows more focus on the road. All in all, this is a very good value for the money. Also, I will likely subscribe to XM radio after the trial period. Its quite good.

  • I always love a honda, but. - 2013 Honda Accord
    By -

Okay, I have an accord Sport 2013. This post is 2017 January. I have 73,000 miles and drive in Wisconsin. Exterrior is great. Still looks great. Clearcoat and paint are like new. No rust on any panels, hood or underneath. Replacing tires soon. Breaks have been grabby around 40,000. Highway miles Dailey. Drive 38 miles one way a day. Interior materials remain new looking. No creaks or squeaks. I have replaced nothing so far over the 4 years. One major annoyance, and my research shows it is a fault with the Honda engine is the Variable speed. After 30,000, they will begin to rattle at first start up. The oil drain from the compartment over a period of hours and before oil is injected back in the engine sounds like a big rattle for 1 second. It is hardly noticeable inside, but outside sounds poorly. HONDA will not replace or fix this engine fault because it is a nuisance and not a safety problem. The part is $70 dollars in materials and a 4 hour labor. With 90 dollars an hour that is about a $500 fix. Two other detractors are (1) front seats are stiff, material is solid, but are too short in the leg. (2) Bluetooth has much to be desired. Microphone is a problem. Other than that, a great car.

  • Great car needs better seats - 2004 Honda Accord
    By -

I have an 04 LX w/ cloth manual seats and find the driver seat extremely uncomfortable. The gas mileage is great, its quiet and actually pretty quick for a 4cyl. Plenty of room for family of 4. Front tires{Michelins} are terrible as I can lite up the front tires with no problems. Overall a great car but needs better padding for driver seat, please

  • Amazing!!! - 1990 Honda Accord

  • To remember my car - 1992 Honda Accord
    By -

To me, this is the best purchase ever. I got my car 4 years ago. No problem at all. Every parts works very well including air condition. Unfortunately, some one hit me from back in the highway. Insurance company wont pay the repairing fee. Instead, they want to write it off from the book. I cant believe it is a 16 years old car. I just finished a trip over 1600 km. I really regret my loss. It is not about money. It is like I just lost a best friend. I can afford a new car. However, I cant find a reason to do that. Probably, it is time to change.

  • A Little disappointing - 2008 Honda Accord
    By -

Purchased my Accord in November 07. I have put aprox 2000 miles on it. Traded 06 Accord. I love the appearance of the car from the outside, and it has a much bigger feel to it, ride is a little stiff but smooth, engine is very responsive, however gas mileage is diappointing getting 5 mpg less then 06 Accord. Interior is nice but not as comfortable as past Accords and feels a little cheap. Biggest disappointment is the audio system, stereo reception is terrible, rear speakers are AWFUL. Honda you should be ashamed, expected better from a 24K automobile. What is the deal with no coin holder? This is my 3rd Accord probably my least favorite. Lots of room for improvement here.

  • Notice - 2005 Honda Accord
    By -

I have to talk about this car it is great! Not once did it fail in anyway. It did an outstanding performance driving from Ft. Hood Texas to Ft. Wainwright Alaska. I am a soldier. The drive was 4129 miles and this car handled extremely well.

  • love it - 1998 Honda Accord
    By -

Bought it used in 03 with 66K miles. I have 211K miles currently. Still runs strong. Replaced timing belt at 110K and replaced starter at 190K. Still have the original clutch on the 5 speed manual. Leather has stayed like new throughout car except for one small spot in the drivers seat. I drive it daily to work 500 miles per week. I can almost do it with a full tank since I average 485 miles per tank. I think I average about 31mpg. With current prices for regular gas in CT at $4.26 my only dilemma is: Should I trade it in for a newer one?
