Overview & Reviews
Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.
You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

264K miles and counting...... - 1994 Honda Accord
By NCSouthernGirl - July 1 - 7:48 amI bought my 1994 Accord EX in April 1997 with around 40K miles. Today it has 264K miles. It has the same engine. I have not spent a lot of money in repairs on my car. Just your usual stuff, brakes, tires, oil changes every 3K-5K miles, one timing belt and pump, speedometer sensor about 2 weeks ago, new radiator. It is a 14 yr old car that has been good to me. I will keep this car as long as it runs. I hate a car payment and Id rather fix this car than have a ridiculous monthly car payment, higher insurance and property taxes. This is my 2nd Honda Accord and it is the only car I will ever buy for the rest of my life and I will be 49 on July 10.

Not Worth 30K+ contd - 2010 Honda Accord
By pakkya - July 1 - 2:23 amSo I dropped off the car at dealers for them to look at radio reception and fan noise. They came back to say they couldnt hear the fan and the radio reception was normal - given that XM is installed, it interferes with the FM/AM reception-BS!. Every car now has XM and not all have radio issues. It most likely is the antenna assembly that is inferior quality. Also, driver seat has started creaking whenever you shift your position while sitting - I am 64, 220lbs - but then this is a LARGE FAMILY SEDAN. I am very much convinced that Honda uses cheap quality materials for its interior to keep prices low and profits up. Its not worth buying an EX- L, a LX MIGHTVE been worth the money.

better cars for the buck - 2017 Honda Accord
By cruz michael - June 30 - 8:17 pmLooks like a lot of bells and whistles, but they are not that impressive.Everyone knows they have great reliability, but besides that nothing is really impressive of about this car. I will only say what I dont like about this car. Exterior- Rear trunk is flimsy. Honeycomb front grill is difficult to clean and keep clean.Sunroof is too small. Headlights on low beam do not shine far enough. Interior is worse! The leather they use seems more like vinyl, not good quality. The sound system is abysmal. The back up camera and side view camera are very pixlelated. All the fancy things the dash screen can do , can only be done while in park. There is no gauge on the tires for individual tire pressure , only a dummy light. You cant dim the dash screen lights only turn them off( too bright). The apple car play/ Android feature only works if your phone is plugged into the usb port. It will not work with blue tooth. Now I do like the memory seat feature and the cool led light that shines down on the center console. Over all this care for this price shoud be better. This is a 2017 model but no choice in options to list it, but it has very little if any changes from 2016.

Great car! - 2008 Honda Accord
By Billy - June 30 - 7:46 amI have had this car for almost three weeks now and I still love it. I test drove a Camry and Altima, as well. Although the Altima has the Accord beat on styling, the Accord is the better value and will hold its value throughout the years better than the Altima. The Camry seemed a little too much like an old ladys car! I love almost everything about this car other than the fuel economy. I was expecting better than 25 MPG. That was the main reason we traded off our SUV. I hope that it gets better as the car ages.

4 cyl is plenty - 2005 Honda Accord
By Mike - June 29 - 2:00 pmThe 4 cyl has a surprising amount of power. I came from a 6 cyl Jeep and this car still does not seem sluggish. It is much quicker than any other 4 cyl that I have owned. It is not as fast as the Altima, but gets superior fuel economy. The interior quality is great and the stereo and climate controls are easy to use. Sunroof controls are in an odd place (to the left of the steering wheel, and too low) but it leaves room for a sunglasses holder on the ceiling in front of the sunroof. This car is very roomy in front. Not quite as much room in the back as the Altima, but still good. Head room with the sunroof is still adequate for the tall (65") as long as the seat is not raised.

Great Car!! - 2005 Honda Accord
By Andy in Indy - June 29 - 11:10 amThis is my 4th Accord, and the best yet. Just got it on Friday....dark red with gray interior. The extra horses in the V6 compared to the prior model is really noticeable. Great interior features.

Better than ever - 2007 Honda Accord
By Cincy M - June 29 - 10:26 amPrevious vehicle was a 2003 Honda Accord, and loved it so much was reluctant to trade it in, as I was afraid the new model would not be as good. That thought was gone forever once I drove the 07. It handles great, seems to be quieter, and the ride is luxurious. Very very happy.

I like it - 2006 Honda Accord
By eric - June 28 - 3:13 pmMy wife always wanted a Honda and we deceided to buy a luxury car when our Taurus broke down. The v-6 engine is very strong and the car handles great. I love the sunroof and the cd player. 48 dollars fills up the tank and that will last one week. I feel good about our purchase. Honda did a great job.

Drivers Seat is Torture! - 2014 Honda Accord
By A.H. - June 28 - 12:38 pmJust search "Honda Accord Uncomfortable Seats" on the internet and youd be amazed at all the sites and forums that pop up, from the 2008 to the 2015 Accord. To be fair here are the Pros: Looks sharp, runs smooth, has great gas mileage, and Im sure is super dependable, although I dont plan on owning this car for much longer. Ive only had it for 3 months and Im already looking to trade it in for a Toyota Camry, because.....Cons: Why did Honda think a crappy, easily stained beige interior, and covering the doors with that same crappy cloth interior was a good idea? The placement of the climate control buttons and infotainment isnt laid out intuitively. Make sure you have all your climate settings and radio/cd/ bluetooth all while in park because adjusting the right temperature and/ or defrost can cause a big distraction while driving. The trunk is relatively small for a family of four and the rear seat folds down in one piece, rather than split. Now here are the biggest Cons: The drivers seat: It is so poorly designed, the back and bottom sink in, causing my back to form a "C" shape, and the head restraints force my head too far forward. No, I did not pick up on this discomfort after the 30 minute test drive, or even the few weeks of ownership. But after several weeks up until now, the pain has become unbearable. I cant drive more than 20 minutes before the pain sets in. Ive tried almost everything, from ergonomic back and butt cushions, and have even spent over $500 reupholstering the drivers seat and adding foam to the seat and back at a shop, and all that has done was shift the pain from one part of my butt, back, thighs, to other parts. I never knew what "Piriformis Syndrome" was until I owned this car. Look it up. Ive owned close to 10 cars in my 28 years of driving, and this Accord is the only car to ever give me back problems. Here is the biggest Con: Honda Corporation and Honda of Morgan Hill in California. After I stated my problems with the seat, all Honda Corporation could tell me was "Im sorry your feeling this discomfort, but unfortunately, Honda wont do anything about it", and Honda of Morgan Hill, "Why dont you trade the car back to us for something more comfortable?" Seriously, why dont I just crap 2 to 3 thousand dollars out of my butt and hand it to them? Thats the loss Im going to take on a trade in, so I might as well give it to Toyota, or even Hyundai. So all in all, screw you Honda. Its unfortunate that an otherwise great car is ruined by a badly designed drivers seat, a seat that has been a problem since 2008. Its obvious you do not listen to your customers. Once I unload this car, Im never getting another Honda again.

May Be My Last Honda - 1997 Honda Accord
By bcwalt - June 28 - 10:00 amMy Accord was plagued with nagging problems. Among them peeling paint on front bumper; electric windows opened and closed at a snails pace and squealed loudly as they closed; drivers side electric window regulator replaced twice; cruise control couldnt maintain its set speed to save its life; auto transmission shifted roughly and slipped; serious squeaks and rattles in dash; mediocre gas mileage (25 MPG). This was my third and, likely, last Honda product! I passed up more exciting styling and better handling cars for what I thought would be flawless quality! I ended up with a soul-less, problem-plagued nuisance!
