Overview & Reviews
Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.
You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

Not your fathers family sedan. - 2006 Honda Accord
By C Metcalf - July 6 - 1:40 amIve only owned the car for a couple of months. Power is plentiful and the V6 makes a wonderful sound above 3500 rpm. The car is eerily quiet at lower rpms, and it has taken me a while to get used to the lack of noise from the engine. The engine and transmission just ooze with smoothness. The suspension is wonderful. You feel every bump exactly once, no more. Certainly not sports-car tight, but neither is it all floaty like my parents cars. A fantastic compromise between ride and handling. Combined with the six-speed manual, this is a drivers car in the guise of a "boring family sedan". It seats four comfortably and can outaccelerate both the 1986 IROC-Z Camaro and Mustang GT.

LOVE it! - 2006 Honda Accord
By FL3 - July 5 - 10:46 amI bought this originally for my wife ... but now we struggle almost daily to see who will drive the Accord! Extremely agile and comfortable. Lots of fun! Very economical. We both LOVE it!

Miss my 2013 EX-L V6 - 2016 Honda Accord
By Mature Driver - July 5 - 2:05 amI want to love this car, but I cant. I might upgrade my review if I dont have any more problems. So far one major, one minor. 1. Have the engine, transmission and cylinders checked out before you by. I had a failure at 600 miles. Have never had a problem before (this is my 5th Accord) 2. Insist on a replacement front window rubber strip-there is excessive wind noise at over 40 mph, a known issue. 3. If you are buying online, note that the beautiful Alabaster Silver has been replaced by Lunar Silver, which is more grey than silver. 4. Older buyers may find smaller fonts and controls on sound system frustrating. 5. This model has something called "limp mode". If I had known what it was before my car died suddenly, I wouldnt have been quite so scared.

2006 Accord EX. L - 2006 Honda Accord
By Todd King - July 4 - 12:26 pm2006 Honda Accord great car, no issues, biggest issue has been replacement of both airbags. Dealer is backed up and waiting 9 hours for repair is not good. Engine is great switched to synthetic oil at 100k and it runs like a top

EX-V6 Accord approaches Luxury class - 2003 Honda Accord
By dnayoung - July 4 - 10:00 amWe looked at the Acura, Infinity, and Lincoln LS. Even though the honda isnt considered in the class of "luxury cars" that those cars are-we couldnt find a feature in the other cars that made it worth the 5k higher price tag. While it lacks exterior appeal, the Accord EX V6 looks better on the inside than the the Camry or any other car we test drove. Feels good to drive, I know its reliable and I didnt feel the need to spend thousands more just for a name.

Honda VP after SAAB 93 - 2006 Honda Accord
By William - July 4 - 2:50 amCar runs great, no problems so far, very comfortable ride, Driver seat not as comfortable 93 SAAB, otherwise the ride is nice and smooth. Car is really roomy too. Nice power on the expressway and around the city. Gas mileage not too good during breakin period, hopefully it gets better, I have 200 miles on the car so far is on my second tank of gas, re-fueled at 200 miles/half tank. Bought new wheels, hub caps not for me. Nice car!

OPEC Can Kiss My Toe. - 2007 Honda Accord
By greenchili - July 4 - 1:45 amOutstanding quality sedan that got a little over 30 mpg with tailwind doing about 85 mph on 350 mile trip. However, going into the tailwind dropped mileage down to 26 mpg. We also did a 1500 mile round trip for $130 in gas during first of May 2008. It feels so good to NOT send so much money to the middle east.

Great v6 - 2005 Honda Accord
By RAZ - July 2 - 3:25 pmI retired my 1993 Accord with over 400,000 miles on it, (head gasket blown), and went with this v6. I travel 70% highway 70 mph ( I am not gunning it ever) and getting 27 mpg. A recent hwy trip 34 mpg at 70 mph. It gets better gas mileage than my 4cly 93! Go figure? Great power when needed. No problems yet, 66,000 miles on the car. Leather is very comfortable, radio 6-cd great!

Thats Why its a Honda - 1995 Honda Accord
By dsw mich - July 2 - 10:48 amI purchased my 95 accord in 2001, with about 70,000 miles on it. It is still going strong at this point 08, past 200,000 miles, allowing me to be car- payment free for several years. Its been a commuting work horse. Have there been repairs? Sure a few (including a strange gas tank crack, radiator, SRS light for no reason), but nothing outrageous and its never left me stranded. It was the best car purchase I couldve made. I briefly owned a ford contour, during which time had to replace a transmission at only 55k miles and traded it in for this great Honda! I had similar good experience with a 1991 Camry.
