Overview & Reviews
Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.
You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

Great Value for the Money - 2005 Honda Accord
By deb - July 26 - 10:13 pmJust came off lease from a Volvo S60 and decided to get an Accord. This car was about $7000 less than the Volvo, and came with more features, more power, and a much smoother ride. Also has a roomier interior. Overall, a great deal for the $$. If you can afford it, go for a V-6 model. Has less road noise than the 4-Cyl model. Also, the EX has some nice luxury features. Love the car!!!

Best Car Ever! 97 2 dr se - 1997 Honda Accord
By Rob Elliott - July 25 - 2:02 pmBought it w/18 miles on it in dec. 96. It now has 215,000. Zero problems. Only 15 oil changes in 11 years. One new battery & a few tires. Still looks & drives like new. Solid car. Have gotten my money out of it. Still gets over 400 miles on a full tank that holds 13 gallons. Ive opened the hood twice. Once when I bought it and again last year when I put a new battery in it. Priceless.

My First Import - 2004 Honda Accord
By callen - July 23 - 10:00 amIve always driven GM products. After owning my first Honda for 3 days, I may never own another domestic car again! The ride, handling, acceleration, design, quality, EVERYTHING is superior to American made cars. I previously owned an 02 Grand Prix GT. Powerful car, but always felt heavy and sluggish. My new honda would run circles around that Pontiac. Its nimble, responsive, firm, and still comfortable. I was leery at first, but more than happy with my decision. This car is amazing!!

Not the ride I expected.... - 2016 Honda Accord
By Steven Palumbo - July 23 - 9:49 amI expected the Honda Accord to have a smooth ride with great pick up ... It did not... There was a constant vibration in the steering wheel, while driving at 60 mph... Very disturbing on a new car... Wondered what would happen over time... Decided not to trust the reliability of Honda products any longer after having so many recalls on my current Hondas 3 of them to be exact... Even the new 2016 Honda Civic has already 2 major recalls... It is to bad Honda does not stand behind their products or care about their loyal customers... Hello brand new Toyota Camry.

Overpriced, but a good car. - 1995 Honda Accord
By JohnR - July 21 - 3:29 pmI have had this Accord for a while now, and while being frugal and easy (though rarely fun) to drive, these cars are most certainly overpriced for what you get. A similarly equipped Ford Taurus has a V6 engine and costs about 1/2 as much at this age. My previous car was a 1993 Taurus that was still (barely) running after a very rough 290,000 miles. I have no doubt that the Accord will make it to those miles, but repairs cost more, the car costs more, etc. The Taurus was more roomy and more comfortable, and better suited to the long-haul drives I frequently subject my cars to. However, the Accord is about 100 times better than my other car, a 1999 Saturn SL.

Buy It - 2002 Honda Accord
By TxTn - July 21 - 10:00 amExcellent Car for the money. Considered Volvo S60, Acura TL, Infiniti G35 but cost was minimum of $6k less...You get a great car without the snob appeal! Considered the Toyota Camry but could not get comfortable with dealer cost..one dealer quoted 3% over cost and was $1,000 over the price that another dealer quote 4% over invoice. Thank You Toyota...you just sold the Honda!

The Perfect Car - 2002 Honda Accord
By Mark Springer - July 21 - 10:00 amThis car is the best value out there. For $22,500 I got a car with good exterior styling, a great interior, impeccable fit and finish, great power, great handling, awesome reliability, and absolutely great resale value. This is my 3rd Accord - I owned a 97 LX and a 99 EX previously. I absolutely LOVE the power of the V-6 on the 02. I have test driven Camry, Maxima, Taurus, BMW 3 series, Audi A4, Lexus IS 300, Infiniti I30, Mercedes C, E & S classes (all but the Benzs at Edmunds live!), and dollar for dollar the Accord blows them all away. There is no better value out there.

Battery Died -Towed Twice in One Day - 2005 Honda Accord
By BAC - July 20 - 6:35 pmOnly have 16,000 on this baby, owned under 3 yrs. and I was shocked when my battery died on a very hot day. My shop says it happens! He also said the breaks are fine, just noisy pads (after 10,000 noticed a slight squeal). Still like the car for what I paid under $18,000 everything included Cash. Nobody is perfect. Must last 10 yrs.
