Model Overview:

Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.

You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

  • bought it today - 2013 Honda Accord

I just got my honda accord sport in blue today. I waited for a month and a half to get the manual and it was worth the wait. I drove the CVT first and i was ready to take a nap.It sucks! Felt soooo slow! The 6 speed gearbox was tricky from first two second gear but i got used to it. Short throws and fun. Not a afterthought. And feels way quicker than the garbage CVT and better sound too from the dual exhaust. Very rich black interior. I gave 3 out of 5 for reliability because of first day purchase.

parents bought me this car when it had 110k miles. Now it has over 190K. Everything is working great like the first day i bought it.

  • Worst new car to the date - 2007 Honda Accord

We bought Honda after having small intermittent problems with our Saab 9- 5. Oh boy we were wrong about this "value" jump! I just trusted to BS reviews of majority of people who drove Fords and GM in the past. Although some can say Saab is another GM product, it was quite impressive for something based on Opel chassis. Anyhow, here is a short list of Honda quality problems: 1) Rattle in both front door attributable to TSB in Feb 2008 Service News Article, 2) Shaking, scraping and pulsating front brakes (fixed under warranty - warped front rotors), 3) Tires out balance (fixed under warranty), flat-spotting is something I will have to live with on this car, 4) Scratched cheap plastic panels.

This my first foreign car. I bought the car because of the raves about Honda quality and reliability. I chose the Se auto. V-6 because it had what i wanted in a car without all the frills. The car is everything i thought it would be,and more.

  • Dependable, enjoyable and quick - 2005 Honda Accord
    By -

I truly enjoy my new Honda Accord Coupe. My last Honda was a 1998 Honda Accord Sedan (4 cyl), Wow what adifference. It has jumped 10 years ahead in style and performance. This is an exceptional car for the price. I am well pleased.

  • My Wonderful Honda - 2004 Honda Accord
    By -

This is my first honda (but NOT) my last. The car is beautiful inside and out. Roomy in front as well as back and trunk. The heaters in the leather seats are wonderful. The car handles well in rain and snow. I cannot imagine driving anything else. I would recommend this car to first time buyers in a minute. Thanks HONDA!

  • Excellent car until transmission goes - 1999 Honda Accord
    By -

We have loved this car-, early perfect reliability and fine performance. Could be more comfortable, but that was a small price to pay for perfect performance over 8 years. The transmission is gone, though, and the timing belt needs to be replaced. The complete repair/maintenance bill is going to run around 3000 or more. The car has basically lost all its value in 9 years. So the value could be better.

  • I want to drive this off a cliff - 2002 Honda Accord
    By -

Where do I begin. At 60k the transmission went out on me. At 80k I have a crack in my engine block so I had to replace it. I had replaced the 6 disc CD changer 3 times now. I hear so much about how reliable Hondas are but this car isnt proving it. I cant wait to get rid of it. This car has done nothing but cost me more and more money out of my pocket. The amount of money I had spent already I could have bought something else. I will never buy Honda again.

  • Love it. - 2009 Honda Accord
    By -

I bought this car earlier this month and absolutely love it. I did a LOT of research on 2009 sedans (including Camry, Accord, Jetta, and Altima) before deciding on the Accord. The Accord is top-notch As soon as you get in it you feel like you are sitting in a luxury car that should be much more expensive than a Honda. And performance is great! I am very pleased with the car...except for 1 thing---the headlights dim just a bit about every 15-20 seconds when the AC is on. The only reason I noticed it was because I was looking for it (I had read about it in some of the reviews). However, this is not a big enough problem to keep me from loving my car!! Hondas reliability is excellent.

  • Accord V6 6spd vs BMW 328is - 2005 Honda Accord
    By -

I used to have a 97 BMW 328is coupe. I loved the car, the new 2005 honda v6 6spd coupe is faster in a straight line not in turns though. For everyday driving it is comparable and a lot less money to buy and maintain.
