This Year's Model Updates:

As the model was fully redesigned for the 2003 model year, there are only a few changes on the 2004 Honda Accord. Availability of side curtain airbags has been expanded this year to four-cylinder EX models -- standard on those with leather, optional on cars with a cloth interior. All four- and six-cylinder EX models equipped with a leather interior now have XM Satellite Radio with three months of free service as standard equipment. And as with all Honda cars this year, a new seatbelt reminder system is standard. Accord models meeting California's stringent Partial Zero Emissions Vehicle (PZEV) standards -- all four-cylinder sedans equipped with automatic transmission -- will also be sold in the states of New York, Maine, Vermont and Massachusetts.

Pros:
  • Tight build quality, quiet cabin, refined and powerful engines, reputation for quality and durability, high crash test scores.
Cons:

  • My 3rd EX - 2004 Honda Accord

This is my third Honda Accord EX since 1991 and my second with the 6 cylinder engine. I went looking for a year end purchase of an EX with the 6cyl and Navigation. The navigation is a feature everyone should consider if they do any traveling or city driving. In city driving the voice command of radio and climate control is a very nice benefit. It allows more focus on the road. All in all, this is a very good value for the money. Also, I will likely subscribe to XM radio after the trial period. Its quite good.

  • Great car needs better seats - 2004 Honda Accord

I have an 04 LX w/ cloth manual seats and find the driver seat extremely uncomfortable. The gas mileage is great, its quiet and actually pretty quick for a 4cyl. Plenty of room for family of 4. Front tires{Michelins} are terrible as I can lite up the front tires with no problems. Overall a great car but needs better padding for driver seat, please

Green Pearl with beige interior. If you live in the upper Mid-West or receive a fair amount of snow, the Canadian version does have heated side mirrors but the US version does not. More comfortable seats and nicer interior than the Passat but is slightly less fun to drive than the Passat. Optional extended warranty can be used at any Honda dealership. An online dealer does sell the 7 year, 0 deductible extended warranty for less than $1,000.

Bought new in 04. Nice design, spacious interior, huge trunk capacity, nice look in and out. Decent pick up when merging onto highway. Good sound system, everything conveniently placed for the driver. Never had a problem with it!

Finally got out of 1996 VW Jetta GL. I have been more than patient! Read all reviews on Accord EX-V6 I could find to make sure I was not buying another disaster. Everyone seemed to agree you cant go wrong with Honda. Initially wanted the LX-V6. Bought the EX trim level so I could get side curtain airbags. Safety was on top of my list. This car has more bells and whistles than I initially wanted. Had to shop around, as first dealership would not give anything for trade-in, and wanted MSRP for the car. I was initially looking at silver, but did not want the black interior. Got the green with tan inside.

I bought this car Jan 2004. I love it. I test drove this and the Mazda 6. The Honda took the bumps easier and was a smoother ride.

  • Wow ... I had no idea - 2004 Honda Accord

Some of my family members have owned Accords for a long time ... VERY long time. I have always been a Chevrolet guy myself ... but I work 100 miles one way from my home, so ... I needed better gas MPG ... I started looking at the first of this year and to be honest, I wasnt having any jaw dropping moments with dealerships ... but after finding the car that I wanted ... and after the deal ... I have my new 2004 Accord ... WOW! ... I never knew there was a car that would NOT make me miss my Chev truck!

This is my 1st Honda and I wont buy anything else. Very roomy interior and smooth ride. Heated leather seats, dual climate control, side curtain airbags, AM/FM/XM radio, in-dash 6 CD player, sunroof and more. A classy car at a reasonable price.
