This Year's Model Updates:

Honda takes a bold leap for 2005 with the introduction of the Hybrid Accord. Rather than add a hybrid motor to its four-cylinder, Honda bolts its third-generation IMA system to the Accord's already-potent V6. In one fell swoop the Accord hybrid has become the class leader in fuel economy (30 city, 38 highway) and power (255 horsepower). Other changes for the 2005 Honda Accord this year include new wheel cover designs for the LX and EX trims, a new coin pocket design, illuminated steering wheel controls and improved rear styling in sedans with redesigned taillamps. In addition, front-seat side airbags and full-length head curtain airbags are now available on all trim levels all the way down to the base DX model.

Pros:
  • Roomy and stylish interior, tight build quality, smooth ride, powerful and efficient hybrid model, good crash test scores.
Cons:
  • Tepid handling, brakes should be more powerful.

  • Would be perfect if I went V6. - 2005 Honda Accord

Ive had this car for about 8 months now. I love everything about it. One thing I regret is not getting a manual tranny, since they were out of stock at the time. The V6 is awesome in terms of power, but I could not afford it at the time. And the look of it took time to grow on me, but I did get the OEM Aero-kit (HFP), which is just amazing. I think in the price range, there is no other car I would have gotten.

This is my second Accord and the best so far. Very happy with performance and build quality but disappointed with road noise. Fuel efficiency acceptable considering the pep from the V6. Overall, very impressed after 500 miles of ownership.

  • Still the champ - 2005 Honda Accord

After driving GM, Ford and Chrysler competitor cars plus Toyota Camry and Solara and Nissan Altima, Honda beat them all on total performance and predicted reliability. The Accord isnt much for looks, but it drives like a dream, accelerates great and is well put together. Best car for the money on the market.

  • My first Honda - 2005 Honda Accord

As a diehard GM customer my whole life, it took alot of convincing to purchase my first Honda. But the price and reputation could not be ignored. I regret waiting so long before I made this first purchase. This car is incredible. Its V6 acceleration is unbelieveable for a mid-size sedan. I love the handling and the support the seats give my back. Since its a Honda, I dont ever expect to be back to the dealer for warranty work. By this time, any new GM car I owned would have been back to the dealer at least two times. My next car/van will be a Honda.

  • Excellent, Great V6, Fun to drive it !! - 2005 Honda Accord

We purchased this car a few weeks ago and love it a lot so far. The engine is very quiet and pick up is amazing. We also own a 98 v6 2 door coupe and its also amazing. We took on a 3 year lease and will very possibly end up purchasing this vehicle later after the lease ends.

  • Our return to Honda - 2005 Honda Accord

Purchased this car for my Wife and 16 year old daughter to share. The quality is as excellent as expected and the performance is just right for its intended use. We almost purchased the new VW Jetta, then came to our senses and walked next door then drove home with the new Accord Coupe. Whew! that was a close call. There is no comparison. We are very pleased with our purchase and just really like this car.

First Class vehicle. Fit and finish is excellent. Performance is outstanding considering this is a 3.0 liter vehicle and takes REGULAR Gas.

  • Example of good engineering. - 2005 Honda Accord

This car is very well-thought-out. Interior is very comfortable, ride a good compromise between handling & smoothness. Engine is very quiet & smooth for a 4, except for a slight vibration at about 900RPM (3-5MPH), which I am told is "normal" for this car but is mildly annoying. Quiet on highway, except for slight, nconsequential road noise on rough pavement. Steering feels sporty for its size on the highway, although in this regard my 94 Accord was a little better. The car feels more powerful than it is. Overall, this car does everything well and nothing poorly and is, in my opinion, the best overall choice in its class.

  • Great Car - 2005 Honda Accord

Wanted the sedan but they dont make the V6 with a manual in the sedan. So I bought A saphire blue Two door with black leather interior. The car is my 4th Honda and they only get better. This car still pulls from 65 mph in 6th gear! 17in wheels and nice.
