Overview & Reviews
Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.
You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

Check Engine Light and Repair costs - 2010 Honda Accord
By capitals1 - October 13 - 10:12 amSince this summer, my 2010 V6 Honda Accord has been in the shop for well over 2 weeks. The check engine light comes on and after reading of others experiences, I just drive it to the dealership before it lets me sit. We have spent a minimum of $700 for each repair. Very disappointed and will not buy a Honda again because I purchased it for reliability and going the distance. My old Dodge gave me 250,000 reliable miles and this car starting having issues a little before I hit 100,000 miles.

By christosd - October 11 - 1:37 pmI have the 2012 accord SE for 2 years . I lease it after my 2002 Mercedes c class took water in the engine in a rain storm and was total. the car is very good for me . it doesnt drive like Mercedes but I was not expecting that . so far zero problems . it is roomy and easy to drive . very good visibility from all sides . very good for driving in long trips . I have no problem with the drivers seat but my wife said that the passenger seat is not as comfortable so she use a special seat pillow. I do about 31 mpg in long trips but incite city driving mpg is not very good average about 15mpg

Just keeps getting better. - 2014 Honda Accord
By pmpetersen - October 10 - 7:04 pmThis is the 4th new accord I have purchased. My first one faithfully served for 18 years and I am finishing my 7th year with my third. #2 got totaled at 12 years of age. The improvements in noise and fuel economy compared to the 8th generation is nothing short of astounding. Computer regularly shows 36 on the highway and averages overall about 29. The CVT with paddle shifters is really smooth in operation always having the correct ratio. I love clicking the negative paddle to increase the engine braking when going down hills and off ramps. Sport mode brings the engine to life for twisties. A manual will always be more fun but living in PDX metro area traffic is too frequent for it.

2011 Honda Accord LX- Noisy on the road - 2011 Honda Accord
By kay57 - October 10 - 6:06 pmThis car ought to be awesome. The only issue with it is the road noise. When running still no noise but once you start driving, the engine is really loud which takes the fun away.

Buyer beware: The uncomfortable drivers seat should be recalled!!! - 2014 Honda Accord
By mybackhurts - October 10 - 1:32 pmI test drove my new Accord for a few miles and everything felt fine. I immediately felt lower back pain when driving the car home from the dealer. After making daily adjustments to the seat, and trying different seat cushions and lumbar supports, I came to the disappointing conclusion Ill never be able to comfortably drive this car. The drivers seat should be recalled to address the following issues: 1. The metal plate in the lower seat back stabs into my back causing debilitating pain after a 15 minute ride. 2. The active head restraints lean too far forward causing severe discomfort on my neck and back. 3. The seats are far too firm, like sitting on cinder blocks.

Bad Engine (P1009) - 2005 Honda Accord
By marco8436 - October 5 - 10:57 pmAs a lifelong Honda customer I nerve thought I would have to write this review but considering my situation I have to do this. This past September, the check engine light code came on. I went to the dealer and the same service adviser mentioned it will cost me another $90 if it is a different code. The same code P1009 (VTC actuator Fail). The Service adviser said to me, “ Sir your car is burning oil inside the engine. You are going to need a new engine for $2500.” I was so shocked, I could say anything. After a few minutes I asked to speak with the manager. He mentioned to me “ Unfortunately, some engine do fail like this”. According to the technician who work

Worst Suspension Ever - 2014 Honda Accord
By as20045 - September 30 - 7:27 amI am a previous owner of a Nissan Maxima, which had a sport suspension. In that car I did feel lots of bumps, but body roll was minimal, and the ride felt composed. I mention the above because I dont think I am hypercritical. This car has the worst suspension I have ever encountered, I am disgusted every time i drive it and i will be selling it within a year. Not only do you feel every bump, there is a huge amount of body roll, and I would say it feels wild and out of control on the highway if you do anything outside of a textbook lane change. I am beside myself that others do not feel the same.

First Car Review EVER! 2014 Accord Coupe EX-L V6 - 2014 Honda Accord
By al4one - September 25 - 12:08 pmComing from a Nissan Xterra to an Accord coupe took some getting used to but Im glad I went with my decision. I was looking for something that would save gas, be reliable and have some pep out the gate. By no means is it a real sports car, but it has enough in there to get around traffic. As far as reliability, I only have 6 thousand + miles on it, so far so good. Only time will tell how reliable it will be. Gas savings is as advertised. Im averaging 24mpg combined. No ECON button on and doing 80% city with 20% hwy. I do love the road trips though, I get around 36mpg. Overall, Im satisfied except for the radio. That needs some improvement.
