Overview & Reviews
Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.
You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

Nice Car - 2007 Honda Accord
By Jimmy Ray - October 13 - 5:34 pmIts been a great car so far. I check my mpg at every fuel-up and always get 25-point-something (my driving habits are about 50/50 city/hwy). The remote all-windows-down feature is neat but I dont use it. Its a very smooth ride with plenty of style. No major complaints. Though for the money, the minor complaints shouldnt exist. If Honda built the body and interior with the same quality as the engine, theyd have a perfect car. Do I have to spend $10k more and opt for the Acura?

excellent car- gas mileage not as great - 2007 Honda Accord
By kate - October 12 - 5:06 pmJust purchased first ever Honda for our family- very nice car great deal in Feb. Only drawback is mileage is not near what was expected. Sticker says 24 city and I havent had a fill up with mileage above 18.1 mpg yet. I still am extremely happy with my purchase and plan on keeping the car for at least 10 years. Well designed car, good visibility for a shorter person(very few blind spots) I like where all the controls are situated- easy to reach- no looking away while driving.

Fabulous Honda!! - 2002 Honda Accord
By Maggie - October 11 - 8:00 pmLove my car!!! This is only my second car. I have had her about three years. I do not keep up on the maintenance as I should and yet she has never given me any major problems. The only problem i have had is the driver window motor went out, easy fix did it myself, and replaced battery (normal). No other problems. This is an excellent starter car.

Impressive........ - 2004 Honda Accord
By talshiar001 - October 11 - 10:00 amMy first Japanese car....I must say I am beyond impressed. I just traded in my trusty ole 1991 Chrysler 5th Ave on this, so it feels like a Ferrari in comparison. A bit jumpy on the interstate due to the stiff ride, but it sure hugs the curves.... Im REALLY glad I got the manual, the automatic just plain felt weak. Sharp handling, zippy 4-banger, slick shifter, impressive reliability....HMMMMM, now I see why they sell so many of these things.

I love my Honda - 1992 Honda Accord
By Sandra - October 11 - 4:18 amI have had my Honda for almost 5 yrs. It was the best investment that I ever made truly. It was my third car to have owned and I was kind of nervous picking it out at a tote the note used car lot. It had 123k when I bought it. it now has 210K. This car is perfect. I do virtually nothing to it, aside from general maintenance, and it still runs and handles very well. 5 yrs from now, when I am ready to retire it and save it as a starter car for my girls, I will be buying another Honda. If Honda had a middle and last name. it would be durability and reliability. When I bought this car, the guy asked what I was looking for, and I told him a car that had four doors and drove. Its all that+ more

No Disappointment - 2007 Honda Accord
By sae185628 - October 6 - 11:23 amI traded in my truck in order to get better gas mileage. I have not been disappointed at all. I average 27 mpg for city and 31 mpg on the highway. And believe me that I am hard on vehicles, taking corners at higher speeds than one should, speeding, etc. This car has been nothing but impressive from my standpoint. I have had no issues with it and it has over 24,000 miles.

Worst Car I Ever Bought..... - 2004 Honda Accord
By Sheri - October 5 - 11:42 amI caution anyone considering buying this car. I bought the car brand new relying on Hondas history. The transmission suddenly blew up at 80K. I did every scheduled maintenance and more on the car. I contact the Honda dealership where I bought it and they offered to replace the transmission for $5500 or sell me a new 2009. I walked out of the dealership, sold the car and bought a BMW. Never again will I buy a HONDA.

5 Worry-Free Years later... - 2000 Honda Accord
By Twitch - October 3 - 1:54 pmFirst car after college and its been fantastic, just turned over 106K miles! Easily 30mpg highway, 25 city. If you are in the market, the 4- cylinder EX sedan is the safe bet...the transmission problem is primarily in the V6 models. I tinted the windows so mine doesnt look like everyone elses. My back seat passengers almost always fall asleep on road trips, thanks to the excellent ride and comfortable seats. This car has been very sturdy and predictable on snow and ice, and, thanks to the good handling, has got me out a tight spot a few times (i.e., 50 mph pileup during a blizzard, tapped the brakes, downshifted to 3rd and took the ditch, drove right out and kept going!). A great car!!
