Model Overview:

Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.

You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

Weve owned an Integra, CRV, and Civic prior to buying the Accord and loved them all. Our new Accord has been back to the dealer at least 6 times for rattles, brakes, and skipping CDs. THe car still rattles, the brakes vibrate, the CD skips and the rear passenger door now can not be opened from the inside. We are in contact with Honda USA and the Washington State Attorney Generals office to have the car declared a lemon. Honda USA has been slow (38 days) to respond to our concerns, and today asked for another chance to fix the problems they have been unsuccessful at fixing 6 times.

  • Nice coupe - 2004 Honda Accord

It is a nice coupe, improved many features lacking in the previous model. More power, smooth quiet ride and standard keyless entry with engine immobilizer

  • Solid All Around - 2003 Honda Accord

This car is a great all around performer. It is quick off the line and handles pretty well. It cruises at high speeds with ease and is very quiet on the highway. Interior is laid out well and is very attractive. Cant beat the bang for the buck, heated seats, strong V-6, dual climate, sunroof, soft leather, 6 disc...the list goes on and on.

  • Far from excellent - 2005 Honda Accord

What a let down for Hondas top model! The engine performance is excellent and fuel economy very good for a V6 but the rest of the package is less than outstanding. The leather interior is not very comfortable, seats slippery not soft, like the vinyl in dads old Chrysler. Interior heats up quickly in the sun the AC cant cool it down fast enough. Windows squeak and rattle in the tracks and the dash & console are full of annoying squeaks (made worse in the cold). Thank God for the stereo to drown it all out but forget about talking to anyone. ABS chatters over the smallest bumps and road noise is prominent, even with the factory undercoat. Too many blind spots from big pillars.

  • Recent Purchase - 2007 Honda Accord

Ive owned my Accord for 2 weeks. This is our 3rd Honda and I purchased based on reliability/performance Ive had with other vehicles. I averaged right around 25 mpg on first tank of gas. I really like the fit and feel of the interior and like the way the controls are layed out. Ive seen other reviewers cite it as boring, but I like it. Ive seen others cite the brakes as an issue-but not so! (but even with the price didnt think it could match Honda). Love the car, especially in beautiful royal blue pearl!

  • Excellent Purchase! - 2004 Honda Accord

Just bought this car but I love it already! Originally I was going to purchase a Mazda 6, but this is a far better investment. Not only is the Accord a safe family car, but its fun to drive, and you cant beat the gas mileage (32 mpg). I feel better knowing that 5 years from now my car will actually have a good resale value (if I choose to sell it) and it will still be in good condition.

  • there are bad apples in every bunch - 2004 Honda Accord

Since I bought the vehicle it has had a new trans and a new drivers seat, and a new radio. Now I need to replace the head liner. You dont expect these things to happen to a high quality car. Will not perchase another one.

  • Worth the extra money - 2002 Honda Accord
    By -

Given the great deals right now on 2002 models, I spent a little extra to get the EX rather than the LX. The EXs added safety features (ABS and side air bags) plus the ammenities (6 CD changer, moon roof, etc.) made it worth the extra money.

  • Cant go wrong with a Honda - 2002 Honda Accord

Its a great car and nows a great time to buy it. I love the power it has, but I havent pushed it too hard yet because it has only 150 miles on it, but it feels strong none the less. the exterior styling is nice, much better than the 4 door in my opinion. I love the feel of leather, the seats feel great, the steering wheel is nice, and lots of compartments for your junk. The trunk is smaller than I thought, but dont really need that big of a trunk anyway. The only gripe I have is with the tail lights, kinda funky, but the rest of the car makes up for it.
